    Pros +

    • Very lovely hotel. We enjoyed relaxing by the small pool and looking out over the lagoon. We watched the Sunrise both mornings by walking a short distance to the wooden walkways that go over the mangrove.
    • Our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect — peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk from the stunning Bacalar Lagoon and cozy local cafés and restaurants. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed with thoughtful details. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with recommendations or arranging activities.
    • Cleanliness, staff, location, breakfast.

    Cons -

    • We were unpleasantly surprised on Sunday afternoon by the "pool party" hosted just outside our window. We had the room with private pool, roof top terrace and lake view. The party featured a DJ playing techno-like music at very high volumes for the four people at the shared pool that day. It gave off the hostel vibes that we had hoped to avoid at a high cost, adults-only hotel. It was incredibly loud (even after it was turned down a little) and lasted from 3 pm to 7 pm which meant that we have to leave the hotel to have a conversation as we simply couldn't hear each other neither inside the room or outside on our terrace. The music wasn't advertised anywhere and we were subsequently told that it is every Sunday and Wednesday. Had we known, we would have booked a calmer, non-party hotel.
    • Not very lively
    • We didn’t like the “vib”: we wanted a peaceful and relaxing hotel but the music was too loud ( restaurant and pool) and too much like the music you get in big resorts… The city is pretty much closed on Wednesdays because no navigation is allowed on the lake… so it was a bit disappointing

The hotel is really nice and both decor, facilities and staff is good. Location is very neat and close to the lake.

Spacious and comfortable rooms. Loved the common spaces on upper level. Loved the private rooftop patio in the King rooms. Clean, fresh, well appointed and tasteful.

    Loved everything

The staff were very welcoming, helpful, and professional.

    There wasn't two bedside cabinets/tables.

Great beds and linens. I moved to a twin room and liked it much better than the king balcony T he e staff were amazing and very accommodating

The layout of the king room with balcony was a little odd. The balcony up stairs with sea view when standing but not sitting. Bedside lamps had to be turned off at door

    Very cute boutique hotel

There was no cook available for late lunch when we arrived, but it was the slow season and they suggested a restaurant a block away that was fantastic. So problem solved.

A very pleasant boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staff, good size rooms, a nice swimming pool area and in a great location close to the lagoon and a short walk from the Zocalo

The hotel provides bicycles, although they are not maintained so they're kind of pointless which is a little annoying as they are the ideal way to get around the locality. Also we felt that the chef could do with a bit more training.

The staff was excellent, very accommodating especially the Hotel Manager. I really believe she is the only reason the place runs so smoothly. Very dedicated.

Property was clean and good location.

Great location. A little a bit away from the real hustle and bustle but still walking distance which made for a lovely peaceful stay. Beautiful lagoon only 2 minute walk, note access was $20 pesos. Breakfast started a bit late for our liking at 8am, but the complimentary coffee station in the room tied us over.Really enjoyed the balcony and pool. Staff were very accommodating, for ordering refreshments. W

Can’t really think of any complaints. Hotel itself was just lovely.

Corina and Shanty were very helpful. They answered all our questions and arranged for taxi pick up and excursions. The bar staff (Eliezer and Fabienne) were very friendly and made excellent drinks. The breakfast was amazing. We didn’t eat lunch or dinner. The mexcalito limon was our favourite drink. The water was always warm. There’s a strip of restaurants close by and a convenient store across the street. I would recommend this hotel and would return again. The bathroom was stocked with full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and cream. I loved the roof top area that we had which had lounge chairs, day bed and a private pool. The pool was cold but would be refreshing on a hot day. Amazing star gazing too from rooftop The main pool was lovely and it had a nice area to chill. 2 mins walk, perfect for a sunrise or our favourite sunset swims.

Preference would have been not to have a rain shower as i like the option of hose with a shower head.

the location, the drinks, the guac, the sunset, the calamity. It was very relaxing here, seriously, I was so tired and burnt out from work but only 2 nights made a massive difference. I highly recommend this for relaxation. You can put up a hammock in your room's tiny garden, seriously, the absolute best!

I liked Everything. I honestly cannot think of anything that would have bothered me.
