    Pros +

    • The view from the pool is amazing, the room is big and spacious.
    • Clean lots of green plants awesome
    • Everything, overall, the fact that we were there alone.

    Cons -

    • The location is not great. You have to take a taxi to get out, and the road to the hotel is a bit bumpy. There is no elevator, if you’re located in the rooms that are close to the lagoon, there’s a lot of steps to get there.
    • Road is very muddy and rough.
    • It is kinda far from the town. It's best if you rent a car so you can really enjoy everything else.

The hotel is beautiful and in a peaceful and quiet place. Its dock and facilities right on the lagoon were perfect. The room is spacious and was really comfortable. The staff is super nice and helpful, we really had the best stay

The only downside is the overpriced food at the restaurant and the fact that the hotel is distant from Bacalar center. We didn’t have a rental car and commuted with taxis, it was OK but a taxi into the center is 300 MXN so it made things a bit more complicated. I would recommend hiring a car/scooter and it will make your stay perfect

•Beautiful Property: The hotel is stunning and surrounded by nature—perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.•Spacious Rooms: Our room was large, nicely decorated, and very comfortable.•Delicious Food: The food at the restaurant was very good—especially the chilaquiles, which were among the best I’ve ever had.•Free Kayaks: A great amenity that allowed us to explore the lagoon at our own pace.•Quiet Atmosphere: The property is calm and quiet—ideal for disconnecting from the busy world.•Remote Location: About 20 minutes from Bacalar town by car, which makes it great for those looking to unwind away from crowds.

•Restaurant Service: Service could be more attentive and organized.•Breakfast Confusion: We were told breakfast was included, but it turns out only a few items (basic eggs and simple pancakes) were covered. This was confusing and could easily be fixed by offering two separate menus—one for included items and one for additional options.•Beds: Just okay—not the most comfortable.•Remote Location: While peaceful, the hotel is far from town, which can be inconvenient if you’re hoping to be close to other restaurants, shops, or attractions.

Property was very beautiful and well taken of. The bar and the pool was very nice and the thier lagoon section was clean to swim in. One of the best views in Bacalar. Staff was very friendly and professional. Must comment the manager Johnathan, he was extremely nice and professional and made us fell at home. Already planning another stay there! Highly recommend

A bit too far from the roadside however that made it an adventure for us!

Rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable

The breakfast and restaurant are not good at all! If you book a hotel which is remote location, then the food served must be excellent as people do not have other options. Menu has 7-8 options and half of that is not available. Ordered chicken and pasta dishes. It was very mediocre for the price we paid for hotels. In breakfast which was included offered only omelet and bottled juice and American coffee. Are you serious?

Excellent location, need a car or taxi to bring you in. The dirt road is perfectly fine for a sedan that we rented but make sure you use the road that they specify on their communications, the other roads are a bit rough. The hotel Facilities were extremely nice. No bed bugs like other reviews have mentioned but bear in mind that this is a tropical destination so you will find a lot of mosquitoes, bugs lizars and even an opossum if you leave food outside the room(but this is all part of the charm when you visit a tropical place like this so do not whine about local fauna. The room was perfect size and we got offered a crib for our baby girl. Note that they do not offer them when you come in as they are transition to an Adults only hotel. The pool was perfect, nice and cold to beat the heat. The access to the lagoon is top notch. By wife, baby and myself spent a whole day in the pier bungalow and it was pure bliss. The free kayaks are a great add in and we used them every day we were there. The service was excellent from everyone. Giovanny was a bit funky but he was a great guy and very accoommodating to everything in the restaurant.

The restaurant. There are not that many options and for the beauty of the hotel, they owe it to themselves to have a better food offering. It is fine for a day or two, the portions are good, but after that, it does get old and a lot of the food options are fried, and we did need more healthy options. The included breakfast is simple but good, 2 eggs a bit of fried beans and some sauteed veggies, coffee and processed fruit juice. So just in general, improve the restaurant options and you have a 10/10 hotel.

Villa looked nice and view on lake was cool.

BEDBUGS – We left with bedbugs, confirmed by a doctor. The hotel ignored my phone calls and WhatsApp messages. I have not received any apology or reaction from the hotelFOOD – 6 options menu (same for lunch & dinner). Dry tacos with no salsa/avocado. Receptionists admitted this was unmexican but offered no explanation.8PM BAR & RESTAURANT CLOSED – No food or drinks after 8pm. Road to the village is unsafe, so you're stuck.BREAKFAST – Basic 3 options (plain eggs, chilaquiles, or pancakes with no toppings). Extra charges for refill coffee, water, or baby yogurt, despite "included" breakfast. Instagram photos were misleading.SERVICE – No Mexican hospitality. Extra charges for EVERYTHING. At checkout, they tried to force us to sign a waiver against writing a review. Refused, and they yelled about cameras (?!)Really not worth the price—avoid!

    Pretty hotel, good facilities

Basic breakfast, but good. Not many food options. Bar closes early.Access road can be uncomfortable and makes trip to Bacalar take longer

It was beautiful, big comfy rooms and very clean! The staff was excellent. The food was delicious.

The road off the highway is really rough and if you have a low car you could damage the under carriage. It took 20 minutes to drive on this road because we had to go so slow. The pillows were uncomfortable and when I asked for a down pillow, they had none to offer.

Its a nice hotel and the room is big and modern.

Its on a not so nice part of the lagoon. The water is not very inviting to swimm there. Also we had bedbugs in the room. And there was no internet in the lower part of the hotel. They didnt fix that even after letting them know. Also they did some plumbing work while we were there, so the smell around the pool was terrible. Would not stay here again

Great facilities, very private, perfect for a truly peaceful stay

The restaurant can definitely improve, they could grab the chance that there’s no other near restaurant in the walking area

I loved the ethos of the hotel, it obviously really cares about minimising any negative impacts on its beautiful environment and encourages guests to do the same. It was a beautiful hotel set in an equally beautiful setting, and I loved the free kayaks and paddle board. We used them every day and enjoyed the still relatively untouched nature all around the hotel, including the mangroves. There are some amazing birds that can be seen alongside the jungle including kingfishers, kites, vultures and humming birds. The staff were all lovely as well, and really made the stay enjoyable.

The only things I wasn’t 100% happy about was the volume of the music both from the lobby and from the restaurant. The hotel is not so big, so it meant you could nearly always hear it throughout the day, which I thought wasn’t so much in line with minimising the disturbance to the surrounding wildlife and didn’t fit with the otherwise very tranquil vibe in my opinion (though they never played it too early or late into the night). I also thought it would be better for the environment if they were able to find a different solution to selling plastic water bottles in the restaurant.

    9MichaelPosted on: 10-18-2024

Peaceful place at the lagoon, excellent food, Kayaks were free to use. Little tip: If the mattress is too soft (as it was for me) just flip it.

WiFi was partly not working, but nothing to complain about

    10Ma C.Posted on: 8-24-2024

The view and by the lagoon. They have free kayak and paddle board. Relaxing place.

The road and no signage to go to hotel.

    9AdrianaPosted on: 8-22-2024

The restaurant. The food is delicious.

They’ve wrote us 1.5 months before cancellation deadline to ask us for full payment. I did t reply right away, cause I thought I was within the cancellation period and they just cancelled my reservation. Found this really brutal and very bad customer service. I’ve asked for extra body lotion at 20.00 but it wasn’t possible to get any since the maids already left the property. We got only one glass to drink water at the room, we were 4 people.

    Very poor value for money

In this hotel everything is about money. Instead of a warm welcome you are told what everything will cost when you lose or damage it. And we were told that we would not be refunded in case we would leave the hotel earlier (we prepaid everything, why would we want to leave early?).Rooms should be spotless in an hotel with these prices but bathrooms and showers are not. We had large insects in our room and cleaning was very poor.In 1 of our 2 rooms we didn’t have internet during our entire stay. The worse were the receptionist: they are on their phone all the time and totally uninterested in the guests. This hotel is not worth the price they charge. There are much better options near Bacalar.
