How quiet it was and the atmosphere was calm

New bungalows, nicely decorated, in a very beautiful location, close to the water. As it is further from the Bacalar town, it is best to have a car, so that you can drive to the city for food.

The only thing we didn't like - was the lake tour that we ordered through the hotel. It was about "nothing" - the boat just took us to several different places of the lake, and gave us some time for swimming, but we could do the same swimming just next to our hotel without any tour...

The location was suburb right on the lagoon. There are only 4 rooms. Daytrippers are allowed however. It was super quiet and peaceful. There were kayaks and sups complimentary and a JetSki (extra). The staff organised a lagoon tour for us. The pier was very beautiful.

No restaurant of food offerings. Small bar with no soft drinks (out of stock). We paid for breakfast included which required us to drive several kms to a restaurant which we did not do. No coffee in room. No cutlery or cups or plates in rooms so very difficult to eat our own supplies bought at the supermarket. It would be easy for this place to offer a coffee machine and pods in room and a light breakfast. Lucky we had a car as it’s too far to walk to town. You could take a taxi.

The location of these bungalows is great, right next to the lagoon in a very quiet area. We enjoyed the free stand up paddle boards and kayaks.

We feel it’s overpriced for what you get. Very basic for the money you pay

Alex and family are very kind and hospitable. They ensured exceptional service throughout the stay. The location is truly outstanding, just as shown in the pictures, especially with good weather. The property offers added privacy, as there are no other resorts on one end. We certainly found it to be an ideal place for a peaceful and quiet family getaway.

There are on dining options in the immediate vicinity and you need to drive about 10 min from the property where there are plenty of options.

Unbelievable view. Waking up in the morning to see the lagoon is irreplaceable! The room is very comfortable and beautiful.

The hot water boiler is tiny - lasts for 5 minutes top.The WiFi would be better. Our girls did need to watch TV every now and then and it was quite difficult. Also for us, sometimes connectivity didn’t allow us to do basic things. But it wasn’t that important.

All the bungalows are next to the laguna. You have large windows and mosquito nets. The bungalows are very clean and spacious. The small fridge was very much appreciated. You have canoes, SUPs, and live vests at your disposal. Parking is convenient.

No restaurants or shops nearby. Better stock up in Bacalar before arrival.

The place is amazing, rooms are great, clean and comfortable. It is right next to the lagoon, so views are amazing, it is far from crowds and the place is overall amazing

It is new, opened in february, so there are some incoveniences like, no restaurant or food, so you can either order, walk to nearby hotels or take a cab to the town. Wi fi is not the best, but is works most of the time

Beautiful place, the rooms are very modern, large and extremely comfortable beds. The view from the room is amazing. Kind and helpful staff.

We loved absolutely everything. The location is absolutely breathtaking. The cottages were right on the water and had all the amenities and were very comfortable. The staff was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We were able to reserve our tours at the reception. We will definitely be back and have also recommended Mayan Playa to all our friends and family.
