Pros +
- Location, staff, food.
- Clean and tidy rooms. Breakfast and dinner plentiful and with many choices. The staff is very friendly.
- Location was perfect and staff was great especially Jakov,Mate, Marijana, Antonija and others on the beach, then Mate, Nahid , Tonkica, Matea ,Jovana in the restaurant. We really felt like home and would recommend this place to everyone.
Cons -
- Too many stairs for a family with children.
- Parking is the only thing that can be improved.
- Parking is big issue, I don’t recommend this place if you are coming with car. It is stated that there is parking and they charge it, but actually you need to leave them keys and if you need your car it can take ages. First day we waited half hour to move other cars so we lost our dinner reservation, and on the day we went home again half hour.

Amazing beach in front of property.

We first visited this hotel in 2022 and instantly fell in love with it and the area. So much so, when we knew we were visiting Croatia again, we had to fit a return in here! Brela is a tiny haven and that I don't want everyone to find! It's a beautiful looking hotel, overall very well maintained, clean, light and bright and modern. You always see the staff out every morning cleaning the pool areas/sun loungers. Staff for the most part are very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast in a morning is huge. Such a wide variety of foods. You can never go full! The fussiest of eaters would be able to find something to eat. They have a fresh egg station for any requests and a fresh dessert (pancake) station. The seating area while you eat is so calming and picturesque. It's one of my favourite parts of the day, sitting and eating a delicious brekkie here. This year, a staff member kept coming round saying hello to everyone staying. They do delicious cocktails in the bar area. They do an exceptional frozen strawberry daiquiri! We used the spa for the first time and treated ourselves to a massage each. We both could not compliment our masseuse' enough. A very relaxing environment and both very good massages! We also used the gym this time round. Small but had enough equipment for a good work out. Not too busy but people using it. There was a staff member cleaning and providing towels and there was a water machine. No complaints here.We didn't realise you had to book a taxi in advance, so when we were running late for our bus to Dubrovnik and the staff realised the taxi wouldn't arrive in time, a staff member drove us to the bus stop instead. It was all organised super quickly - thank you ?Despite being slightly disappointed by the staff, not feeling as welcomed as previously and feeling like something was just missing; this is a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous part of the world and we really wouldn't hesitate in returning.
We booked this hotel months in advance and requested the same room as last time. Whilst I understand this is not always possible, I do believe when you book in advance and you are a returning customer, everything should be done in their power to make this happen. It has always happened for me elsewhere. Unfortunately, we did not receive the same room or even a room on the same level. This was slightly disappointing. My partner had recently proposed to me before this trip, so I messaged the hotel to inform them. I didn't expect anything as such (although from our previous stay it felt this hotel went above and beyond) but a congratulations at check in would have been lovely, it's the little touches! But after we checked out, we received a message with an apology stating they had been delayed reading messages (despite them having 3 or 4 staff members at reception daily...). Last time we arrived, we were offered a cocktail on arrival. And nothing this time. It just didn't seem as friendly or personable. It just felt like a let down after our last visit. The room was looking a little tired and in the bathroom, the water was leaking out of the shower quite a bit onto the bathroom floor. But the room was comfortable overall and we only used it to sleep and get ready in. We both found the pool very cold.
Everything! Absolutely stunning location. Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent friendly and professional staff. Excellent quality and choice of food and drinks. Just a wonderful, luxurious feel to the hotel. Would definitely go back.
Couldn't fault the hotel, but make sure you pack mosquito spray!
The hotel is beautiful. Very pretty. The views, the design, the architecture. No excesses. The staff are perfectly friendly and unobtrusive! We stayed in the “mala” building, which is closer to the south, a bit away from the main building, reception and restaurants. It's calmer and more comfortable there than in a big building. We took a standard room with a sea view and a room without a view. As a compliment, they gave us both rooms next to each other and with good sea view, on the second floor with large balconies. The rooms are not big but bright, cozy and beautiful. The breakfast is good, included in the price. European. A huge beautiful common terrace for breakfast and dinner there. We did not have dinner included and it cost us 28 euros per person. Dinner without seafood but very decent and nice. Location is perfect. One of the best not even in continental Croatia, but also one of the best in Brela and fortunately for us far enough from Brela center with a lot of people.About sea. It is only two minutes to the beach from the side of Baska Voda and 5 minutes from the side of Brela from our building. All way under the pines along convenient paths and steps, with luxurious views. That is, the hotel has access to different beaches, we enjoyed both. The beaches are municipal but there is no effect of a crowd on the beach and strangers.Three minutes from the reception there is a bike rental and we took it for a couple of hours. There is a very beautiful and convenient promenade in Brela, about 7 km one way by the sea coastline. We rode, swam, rode further, went to bars, rode further. Magical.A separate delight is the cosmetics in the bathroom and the silent air conditioning system. The hotel has an interesting parking system. It is free of charge but your car is taken to another parking by staff and if you need it they bring it back, as the Berulia parking place is overcrowded. At first we were confused by this, but it turned out to be very convenient too.
The hotel was overbooled and we couldn’t extend our room and stay.Someone in the reviews already wrote about the time, in the vacation at this hotel that runs unforgivably fast. It’s true. There were too many people at the beginning of dinner, but that’s understandable, we were on vacation in the end of hight season. in the beginning of seprember.
The breakfast was very good . The service in the dining area outdoors and the buffet area was fantastic! (Charming and very friendly staff ) The hotel's location is great with amazing sea views !
We loved absolutely everything at Berulia - the people working here, location, facilities, food, beach... And can't wait to come back!
It is close to the beach, close to both nearby towns Brela and Baška Voda (walking distance from both towns), breakfast and dinner were exceptional, staff was very helpful. Since we were on honeymoon we received little welcome gift which was a nice touch. Bed was very comfortable and room although smaller was very nice. Two pools outside were also very nice. Hotel is modern and everything was very clean.
Parking is too small and can't hold all of the guest's cars. It is always very crowded and we kept getting calls in our room to move our car so someone else can get out. There is an option to leave car keys at front desk, but then you need to wait long time for them to drive your car to the hotel. There were no drinks included in dinner, not even water. If you want drinks you need to order them seperately and pay extra, which is strange for hotel with 5 stars and hotel that isn't quite cheap.
Location, breakfast, see, pool
Slow reaction time of hotel personal when somethink was not working ( broken door, inability to lock the door,…. )
Position of the room and immediate proximity of the sea, hearing the sound of the sea through the open window at night – exquisite!I had requested a quiet room and I believe that this wish had been granted. Maybe because of that we did not have a view of the sea even though the room was sold with sea-view. But the beautiful oleanders just in front of the balcony were also wonderful! The outsite swimming pool – we used it only occasionally as we prefer swimming in the sea – the view from the pool is wonderful.Breakfast was excellent, coffee should be proper espresso machines. But what we loved most was the extremely friendly staff and this will be the reason why we will remember our stay at your hotel as extraordinary.
The bed was quite small even though on booking.com it was declared as large double-bed – for a 4-star accommodation I would expect a bigger bed. Can’t remember when it was the last time I was in a hotel where the bed was so small.Bathroom was also quite small, no bidet, could hardly turn around. We had dinner only 1 evening at the hotel, but there is definitely room for improvement as the taste of the anti-pasti was quite plain and flavourless.
Very nice hotel. There are no comments. Sea, beach, rooms, cleanliness, restaurant, staff - everything is at the highest level. Well done!
small bathroom
Everything was superb. The staff is really nice and kind and they really want you to have a great stay at their hotel. The food and wine was amazing! The view was really nice to see in the morning when waking up. The bed was large and comfortable. We had a really pleasant time during our stay. Thank you so much for everything. And a special thanks to Karla (receptionist) and Jakir (restaurant) who were always working with a smile on their face.
The bathroom was kind of small. Try to keep the buffet full till the end, especially during breakfast.
The food was great, beautiful hotel interior(pool, pines and a view). On the road to the hotel we got lost, but I wrote to the hotel administration, and they ordered us a taxi at night time. So the service is also good.
The breakfast options were vast and the majority of the time very nice! The hotel was clean, modern, and didn't feel too busy. There were many different options to get a drink or food of which there were ample options. Staff were helpful with assisting luggage transfer from reception to room etc. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
The main disappointment for us was that our deluxe sea view room unfortunately was near a local club where very loud music was played into the night roughly 1am, to the point where we could not rest due to the noise -which is not how we envisioned our honeymoon to be. Regarding this we spoke to a receptionist and voiced our concerns about the very loud music being repeatedly played night after night. To which she was helpful in relocating us into a different room however we were made to pay an additional fee for this despite this not being our fault. The receptionist seemed aware that the rooms were located near a club as she acknowledged the fact it was nearby and the 'main building' rooms were further away. We were grateful for the room change and help however we were not pleased by the additional £250 fee we were made to pay.
The location by the beach
the small rooms, you had to pay for sun beds on the beach owned by the hotel, our shower was leaking water, we had a flood in our bathroom every time we showered, we got a parking ticket because our car couldnt be parked inside the hotel parking, our car also got hit by someone who ran away, the food lacked flavor
Great localisation, beautiful sea view and professional staff
-
very close to the beach. good food. nice rooms.
music from the beach bars was a little bit loud but stoped around 11pm.
The room (with a sea view) was spacious and pretty new (as the all structure); food quality was good with many choices (as there is not much going on in Brela, I would suggest opting for the full meals option); great sunsets; great sea
There is not a beach in the proper sense of the term (which is quite typical in Croatia it would seem) and you are asked to pay for a beach umbrella which I believe should be included in service.
