    Pros +

    • The double room was very comfortable, great en-suite bathroom and a large terrace to sit in the sun.
    • We had a fly infestation on one night which prevented us sleeping. The management reacted with fly killer spray but no apology or consideration. Breakfast was the poorest I've ever seen in a 5 star establishment
    • Staff all excellent. Super meal in restaurant. Lovely breakfast. Very relaxed.

    Cons -

    • The breakfast selection was very poor for a five star hotel... The Honeycomb on show was almost finished when we arrived at the opening of the dining room at 8am.Of course, it was almost finished the day before, but the staff didn't care much. The sausages were not cooked enough and tasted like the Lidl's cheapest brand. The bacon rashers resembled the three star hotel selection, and the scrambled eggs the same. The hot water dispenser should be called " Lukewarm water dispenser ".. Again, at the opening of the dining room at 8am. The jugs of juices were almost empty...left like tgst that from the previous breakfast.... We saw a "chef" coming in and out the dining room looking like he slept outside on a garden bench, unshaved and scruffy... It's a FIVE STAR HOTEL NOT A HOSTEL!.. very disappointed.....
    • Food average, at best. Some golfing groups noisy. Room rather dark.
    • The big problem lies in the quality of the restaurant. The formal dining place St. Andrew’s serves very mediocre food, vegetables overcooked and strangely combined like spinach with raisins. Fish and meat overcooked. The lunch and breakfast place 19th hole a disaster. Poultry salad was a combo of cut up chicken fingers, tinned pineapple, ice salad covered in an awful convenience sauce and covered with oil soaked croutons. Inedible insult to guests. Vegetable soup totally tasteless and watery for almost 10€ a joke. Non alcohol beer 250 mlfor 5€. Price level in the 19 th hole in no relation to the quality. Employee on check out dec. 6th in the morning very impolite, no question about our stay, if we enjoyed it nor anything like have a good trip or something. Just wanted to get us out as fast as possible.

Food average, at best. Some golfing groups noisy. Room rather dark.

Lovely old fashioned hotel , right on a very nice and well kept golfcourse. Very efficient housekeeping , rooms perfectly clean

Fabulous breakfast. Wonderful staff. Ideal location.

Lovely hotel - needs to improve its breakfast

The food at breakfast was very average. For example the Greek Yogurt was watery rather than creamy. The coffee was bitter and the milk watery. The service by the waiters was slow or non-existent.

    8ValeriePosted on: 2-11-2024

Most of the staff were great

Not enough staff to do the job fully. Standards fallen since last visit

    8RainerPosted on: 1-4-2024

    Very good

The gap of food service between end of breakfast and lunch service. As very early golf players we had no opportunity for breakfast (tee time 7:30) and when coming back from the golf course we had to wait until noon to get something to eat.

Food was good. Staff very helpful

    WiFi needed a little attention

A sophisticated management makes a difference in once stay in a hotel. This hotel has a wonderful general manager Miguel that elevates hospitality to its highest level by finding a solution to any obstacle or wish the client might encounter and makes sure that you leave the hotel with a smile reaching the sky. I stayed here a few days leading up to my birthday which couldn't have been a more pleasant and exquisite experience. I enjoyed a luxurious suite with a breathtaking view from the terrace. On the evening before my birthday, when I returned from a relaxing pool afternoon in the sun, I was pleasantly surprised by prosecco and delicious chocolate desserts. Upon my birthday when I left back home I received from a lovely lady of the reception my favorite bird of paradise flower that now graces the interior of my home through the rainy days in Belgium and resonates happy days spent here. I've been to other 5-star hotels on Fuerte, but this is the only 5-star hotel on the island that I recommend. The service, room, views, delicious and beautifully presented room service options, live harp music (and much more) by the dinner were an absolute delight and a perfect definition of luxury. I spent my birthday on a cloud.

Lovely large hotel room and a huge bathroom with separate toilet. We really liked the central dining area in the middle of the hotel and enjoyed sitting there in the breeze under the trees.

The fact that, unlike golf courses in Scotland, you cannot go for a walk on the massive golf course, even round the edges without paying for a round of golf. Even early in the morning or in the evening. I had a broken bone but my husband was very keen to go for a walk but was told he was not allowed.

very spacious comfortable rooms, good breakfast selection, firendly staff

    bedroom lighting poor

    8StephenPosted on: 7-1-2023

    Pool, gym. Breakfast. Helpful staff.

Intermittent air con. Half room no lights

    10SantiagoPosted on: 6-17-2023

The room was good. The pool was ok, not really good as expected from a 5 star hotel; the beds were a hit uncomfortable and there was no pool service. Bad room service. Our room was never cleaned properly, they just made the bed and the rest was kept a mess.

    10JessicaPosted on: 5-30-2023

staff were so friendly and helpful, hotel facilities were all immaculate. The range of breakfast options was really impressive, absolutely loved my stay and would definitely recommend & return.

I booked a nice holiday with my girlfriend, but she couldn’t come with me. Very nice, very clean, luxuryous conditions, 5 star! Enjoyed every minute even the sadness fir being alone. Thanks!

The day when I left this paradise

    8SusanPosted on: 2-12-2023

Bed. Space. Bathroom. Balcony. Golf course. Breakfast. Low-key live music in bar - not too loud to bother guests in rooms.

Quality of food at dinner not as good as on previous 2 visits. Charging for bottles of water in rooms and on golf course. Room safe had no instructions in English.Reception tried to get us to share our pre-paid (expensive) Private Transfer to Airport with another random guest.

    9TheresaPosted on: 7-13-2022

    great people, place and food

    location was a little remote

    10PeterPosted on: 4-27-2022

Clean facilities and friendly personnel always there to help. Food quality and presentation at dinner very high.

Breakfast choice could have been larger and we always had to tell when some bread baskets were empty. The paddle should be for free at a 5 star hotell.
