    • Balcony, nice spa & indoor Pool, Mountain view,
    • The view from this town is amazing. The shuttle service into Zermatt saved hundreds of dollars for me as a solo traveler letting me not book directly in Zermatt itself. All the staff were very helpful and my dinner at the restaurant was also very good and classy. While skiing in the USA has gotten very corporate and some ski town locals struggle to keep up, the locals in Switzerland have kept organic and family oriented business intact. Support this family and their multi generational family business!
    • Staff is perfect expect the lady from the Netherlands she wasn’t so friendly. The rest staf is fantastic.

    Cons -

    • Location you should call them and they bring you electrical car to drive further to hotel. This complicated.
    • Entrance is smelling a little bit bad because of pool
    • No option to make it cooler in the room. But we were also there during the hottest days in the summer, actually in 120 years was the news.

I found the staff at Hannigalp to be friendly, helpful and competent. The amenities are nice and well organized. The hotel is in the car free zone of the village, it is very quiet, but the electric hotel taxi gets you there in the blink of an eye. The bed was comfortable, and the view from my room amazing. The bathroom is nothing to write home about, but there is a nice spa area. I did not eat at the restaurant, but it looks cozy. Hiking or trail running around the area is wonderful.

The lady at the reception was so kind and so friendly and she gave us so many vouchers

Amazing location surrounded by a stunning landscape!. Excellent attention and service from the Staff. Clean and cozy rooms, on top of being pet friendly. We couldn't resist having dinner dinner every night at the hotel and enjoying what Chef Olivier had prepared for us and served by lovely Carol! Highly recommmended.

Spacious and very clean room with balcony and view of the mountains. Very friendly staff and the owner went the extra mile to drive us to the cable car station. Nice wellness facilities. Excellent breakfast.

    9NicolePosted on: 7-20-2023

The view from the room was to the trains:). Great soundproofing. No noise from the trains could be heard. Plus the breakfast was awesome with gluten free and vegan options, ie. Cheese, spreads, butter, yogurt. It is just 5 min from the main train station.

No option to make it cooler in the room. But we were also there during the hottest days in the summer, actually in 120 years was the news.

The place was spotless. Staff, especially our server in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful, and the spa was top notch. If/when I'm back in the area, I will definitely stay again.

Staff at the hotel were extremely obliging

Sadly - the hotel charged 4.50 Swiss francs for a bottle of tap water with our lunch. We could have got our own water from the tap!!

The Offer of spa facilities. The view of the mountains was beautiful. The staff at the reception were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was tasty.

For this price we would expect a bigger room and a bigger bathroom. All was very small and rather uncomfortable and old. It needs renovation. Also the pillows were not good for sleeping. The spa was ok but the floor next to the pool was extremely slippery, it was unpleasant to walk around, especially with the kid. I haven't seen something like that before to be honest and we've been to many hotels with pools before... There is a pick-up service, what means, it is not possible to park the car near to the hotel. With a little child rather unpleasant. Also the parking needs to be paid.In a nutshell, unfortunately not worth the money and not child-friendly.

Very nice and cozy hotel to stay. The hotel restaurant is really good and serving very healthy various food. The spa area is also very excellent. We already had the chance to stay at other hotels before in Grächen, but this is the best hotel in the while village.

Location, staff, breakfast, restaurant (you could eat what you wanted of the main dish) the free access to cablecar, free shuttle with electric hoteltaxi, no cars in the area where the hotel is, fine parking facillity, view from the room’s balcony, pool and spa.

    Nothing ??

    5IrinaPosted on: 2-24-2022

Place is good and staff is very friendly.

Double bed with separate mattresses was not comfortable at all. The food was very bland.

    9KristelPosted on: 9-17-2021

The staff is really sweet, everything is spotless, breakfast is top, wellness was terrific. There's a service to take guests with all their stuff from the parking in the village to the hotel, so there's no need to struggle with the luggage. And the food, definitely the food. Ate too much :-)

Maybe the daily menu could be made a few days ahead, so people can take into account when eating at other locations. We attended the Walliser evening with raclette, but one of us hates cheese with whole his soul. Expecting there would be 'a la carte' like usual, this would not be a problem. Unfortunately the only other option on this special occasion was pasta, which we already ate the night before in the village. The food is delicious though ;-)

We love everything about the Hanigalp, and stay there whenever we're in Graechen. It is steeped with history and tradition, in a beautiful location and a lovely place to base yourself whilst in the Alps. Olivier and his team are super helpful and attentive.

The staff friendliness, the atmosphere, the peaceful location, the scenery, the traditional surroundings.

    Nothing. Everything was perfect.
