    Pros +

    • It was not easy to get to, winding mountain roads, but the location is beautiful and the accommodations are over the top charming.
    • This is the second time we stayed at this lovely hotel - a full week this time. It is just a very friendly place, at a beautiful location with its own little lake and a view of the snow capped mountains. There is a nice restaurant on the bottom floor with the same name but different ownership. Our room had a little kitchen area with a fridge, but nothing else. Plenty of parking.
    • Nice staff. Friendly and professional. Wonderful breakfast!

    Cons -

    • The mattress was a little too soft. A coffee maker would have been nice. The breakfast became a little stale after eating the same small offerings for a few days.
    • We paid to have air conditioning and the hotel does not have ‘air conditioning’ in the sense a person from the USA is used too. The temperature is regulated by the hotel which is not what I was expecting. Very disappointed. When the issue was addressed with staff they apologized and gave us a fan.
    • To get to the hotel was a long uphill narrow winding road. Two cars cannot go by at the same time in most places. The rooms / bathroom are outdated. The bed and pillows were very soft and rather uncomfortable. The lady at Reception -who didn't speak any English, was rather rude and not helpful at all.

We had a lovely balcony onto the lake, which was unfortunately frozen. The view from the room facing the mountains was amazing. The chef and lady waiting on us at dinner were very nice and helpful.

The location and the two bedrooms in a room.

A steep ascent on the way back from the village. It is, however, manageable with breaks :)

Pretty hotel affordable breakfast is good

    Pillow too thin utensil incomplete

The location is awesome, decoration and lasers were good, nice little bar/restaurant, cool lake. They offered to pick us up from the train station but we did the walk because it's so nice.

The room was too hot when we entered. A bit pricy but still the best deal in the region.

Beautiful location, very quiet, but a bit far (10 - 15 minutes walking) and uphil from Grächen... Good breakfast and restaurant.

The equipment have seen better days, but still perfectly usable.

This was my second time stay at Hotel Zum See.The room was very comfortable and clean. All the staff were very kind.I loved breakfast at the hotel. All the breads were very nice. It's on the TMR route. Many other good walks around. My dog loved here too.

This is my 3rd stay. I started TMR from here. While I was doing TMR they let me leave my car and luggages. All the staff were very kind. Accommodation was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. If I go to Grachen again I'll stay at hotel Zum See for sure!

A cozy small hotel of older vintage with a wonderful location. It was a bit on the expensive side for us, but I guess that might be the price range in Switzerland.

The prices at the restaurant were outrageously high. EUR 47 for a flat, dry wiener schnitzel with fries and a couple of boiled carrots, no sauce, and no anchovies. It's really a rip-off and completely insane. They exploit the fact that the hotel and restaurant are far from everything, so people have no other options. The breakfast wasn't the most exciting.

Serene environment in the forest with beautiful views

Breakfast was a little bit late to get to the lifts for opening.

The location, the view, from our room / balcony.Breakfast was good. I liked especially the bircher müsli and the choice of nice natural tea / tisane. The little SPA area was great.

The mattress was a bit too soft in our opinion.

Everything was great! Staff is super friendly, even though we didnt speak the same languages at all they made all efforts possible to communicate with us. All of them were very friendly and thoughtful. Its a great price for the location and the views are amazing. Zero regrets. Its not the easiest to find but just go until the very top of the mountain and its there :)

Extremely idyllic setting up above the village by a forest lake. Beautiful views of the weisshorn. Friendly and helpful owners. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Fine breakfast. A little awkward to open the plastic boxes to get food. The soft drink at the lake in the afternoon was nice, because of the lake nearby. And the weather!

I had to wait long time after having called the reception and got in doubt. I didn't know if they had heard the clock.
