Pros +
- The place was fantastic. Loved every minute. The location is good, the facility is carefully maintained. A family run business with what seemed to be, a group of long term dedicated employees. The stay included breakfast and dinner. Dinner was absolutely amazing, the food quality and quantity was exception, as was the service and range. The dinner was so filling that I could only stomach a coffee the next morning, although my wife said the food was just as good at breakfast too. I would highly recommend this location, and I'm a hard marker!
- The hotel was extremely clean and the service was excellent. The driver to the lift (Ivan) was so friendly and amazing!
- The staff at this property is a well oiled machine that performs at a high level. It is a well run family run place. We met guests who had been returning for 30+ years! The food was top quality. The menus were thoughtful and well coordinated. The dining room staff is top notch. Well done! The Kneip experience spa was a wonderful after skiing.
Cons -
- I didn't like that I had to leave there.
- The spa wasn't great. The jaccuzi was too cold and not too many facilities.
- The beds could be upgraded, as could the duvets.

I recently spent 6 nights at the Alpine Hotel Ciasa Lara in La Villa, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is beautifully located in a peaceful area, offering easy access to both the village and surrounding nature trails. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making sure we felt at home. Our room was spotless and well-maintained throughout our stay, with comfortable beds and a cozy atmosphere that made it a pleasure to return to each day. A standout feature for us was the free garage parking, which was a great convenience, especially in a mountain area where finding parking can be a challenge. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. From the wonderful hospitality to the excellent location and facilities, we had a memorable stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting La Villa.
The only downsides were that the pool water was too cold, and the kids' play area was a bit limited in activities.
clean good size rooms great food
bar area could be cosier - fire was never lit which might have helped
To put it simply, the BEST hotel experience of our (long!) lives, period. I can't even begin to think of things that could be improved... The mind-blowing location, the amazing size of the room and bathroom, the kindness of all the staff, the to-die-for breakfasts and dinners, the indoor swimming pool, I could go on for (nearly) ever. Most amazing, the attention to details, the dinner conversations with the manager, the perfect servers (classy, yet never obsequious), once again, I could go on for ever. One - just one - example of their attention to detail: dinner menus were printed everyday and placed on the breakfast table. I was surprised that ours was in English when most of the guests were German-speaking. We realized they did translate the menus for the two of us, everyday, to make it easier.
Gosh, can you imagine heaven being more heavenly?? Yes, there's something I am worried about: all other hotels will look terrible now, when compared to this one. It has already started... We will definitely be back to Ciasa Lara, if only to make sure it wasn't a dream. And no, I wasn't paid by the hotel!! I just never ever had such a wonderful experience, and we are both 71. We have seen lots of hotels, all over the world.
