    Pros +

    • We loved the Cretan Dream. Perfect location, with gorgeous kept grounds of beautiful plants and trees. The infinity pool was beautiful overlooking the sea we loved out Pool suite as well we had a glorious view as well. Breakfast was great and the store was perfect it had everything we needed.
    • - The staff were very friendly and helpful- the location was good- the pool and facilities were great
    • In our 2 weeks stay we visited 9 hotels, this is maybe in the 8th place. The staff is very nice and the hotel is great. The food was decent, but not tasty, definitely not worth the money (we only got breakfast and we paid for one dinner that we decided to have here)

    Cons -

    • We loved the property. The only thing we could say we didn’t like about the property was that you had to walk across the street to go to the beach(but we knew that when we booked)!
    • I wish there were more amenities like toothbrush/toothpaste
    • The room we stayed in has almost no sound proofing, which can be quite annoying at 7am when people are checking out with trolleys. You can hear everything from outside like it's happening right next to you, this was the biggest downside. The bed and the pillows, for us at least were really uncomfortable, but i guess this is a matter of taste for every person. The little fridge in the room also makes an annoying sound from time to time, it woke us up a couple of times. We did not complain about anything to the staff, i don't know if our room would have been changed or how responsive the staff is to these things.

No hot water, poor shower pressure, and very cold in the bathroom. the indoor pool was not functioning at all, although the photos. poor breakfast and lack of customer service .

Great people, great facility, excellent service. Highly recommended! Nice beach right across the street. Good food on site and within walking distance.

    Was all very good.

The room was spacious with a large balcony and good views. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was ample with a large range of hot and cold dishes. The outdoor pool was lovely and not busy during our November stay.

It's quite a busy road to cross from the hotel to the beach. The bus to Chania didn't seem to run from the bus stop outside the hotel during our low season stay but a bus did operate from 1km along the road towards Chania.

Greet location with beautiful ocean view from balcony. I love the sound of ocean waves. Breakfast was great

The water in bar was a bit cold

Very quiet, comfortable and spacious sea view suite on the 3rd floor with excellent sea view terrace balcony. Excellent breakfast catering for all European tastes. Bus stop outside Hotel from Stalos to Chania (2Euros), with a supermarket close by. Staff were very helpful and courteous.Airport shuttle bus available to Chania Bus station (3Euros) as well as Herkalion and Rethymno (e-ktel.com).Recommend Kri Kri Taverna in Stalos and Steki restaurant in Chania old town.Beach opposite the hotel. Our second visit to Cretan Dream Resort and would certainly recommend this hotel for future vacation.

Had a minor problem with the extractor fan, but dealt with promptly by the maintenance manager (Margerita)

Very good size of the rooms and very welcoming staff.Amazing location and hotel is very nice. Have shows and evening events. Fantastic. Strongly recommend

Bathroom window is just next to the door and when barbeque is on, then you can smell the smoke thru bathroom window.

Stayed 5 nights in a Sea View suite which was spacious, clean (thorough daily cleaning) and well equipped. Nice balcony with a view of the Stalos sea. Very comfortable King size bed. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety of options. Nice infinity swimming pool. Friendly and helpful staff. We greatly enjoyed one dinner at the resort with delicious food, Greek music and dancing. Overall, highly recommended as a base for exploring western Crete.

OmG.. we were speechless on arrival. We arrived late(11pm) and we were greeted by very friendly staff. Checked in smoothly and have been offered a complimentary dinner which was amazing. Then we got taken to our seaview suite on a buggy. The luxury suite was exceptional...more than I expected. The view of the sea was astonishing. The infinity pool was excellent.. On my birthday, we decided to eat in the hotel as they were hosting a Tomahawk night with live band. The food was excellent. The hotel staff surprised me with amazing cake, serenaded by the live band and what made it soooo special....fireworks display. I was so overwhelmed with all these. Great selection of breakfast. The staff are very friendly and accomodating and attentive. We booked 2 excursions from the hotel (Samaria Gorge and Knossos Palace). Early start to both of them and what the hotel did was they even organised a packed breakfast for us to take away to the trips. We didnt expect this. Now the luxury suite with a sea view.. it was luxurious, clean, spacious, beds are extra comfy. I cannot fault it.The location is great. Bus stop just in front of the hotel. 10-15 min bus/ taxi ride to Chania Old Town. There is a beautiful beach across the road if you are fed up with the amazing infinity pool.OmG.. i cannot praise this hotel/resort too much. Its a dream to stay there.Cretan Dream Royal Resort and Spa. you lived up with your standard. I am so grateful for making my birthday so special. First time in Crete and OmG you didn't disappoint. Efharisto!

Great resort.Great room(401).Great sea views.Friendly and helpful staff.

Pool temperature was ice cold.Access to town of Chania on local bus service was hopeless as buses passing the resort door were almost always full.Staff were putting in long hours due to staff shortages.

    9VojtěchPosted on: 10-3-2024

Excellent breakfast, great communication and service. We spent 4 nights here with my family, everything was without problems, the hotel is located on the edge of a long hotel avenue, an ideal choice for those who will explore Crete by car, there is a large parking lot at the hotel, a bus connection to nearby Chania is also possible.

Basically nothing, just one small thing, we had minor interior door defects in our room, we reported it right after check in and everything was fixed by the next day, so OK.

Food delicious, outside area and lobby area beautiful

Room a little worn- water damage door bathroom and outdated decor

The service from the staff, check-in to check-out was phenomenal. They were very polite and always smiling. Also, the views from the pool were stunning. I am not usually one to just lounge around, but couldn't help but do so in the evening.

The pool was lovely and most of the staff were so friendly ' the bar staff & big shout out to the lovely Niki who helped us learn how to play Doors while it rained :)Always had pool chairs and access to fresh towels, overall lovely relaxed atmosphere! The entertainment at night was enjoyable - e.g. one night a local Cretan dance. Lovely little token of local honey given at the end of the stay which is a really nice touch.

No major issues but the hotel could take a few improvements. The food was only OK, not 5 star anyway so we only ate 1 evening and my husband skipped most breakfasts and got something in Stalos. Not having fresh orange juice was poor. The rooms were quite dated but spotless and lovely size. There was no acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which is why we booked a 5 star hotel so that was disappointing and there wasn't any major welcome at reception - no problems checking in but just very clinical and to the point, no smiley 'you're very welcome to our hotel' like we would have got in previous hotels in Crete. The tunnel to the beach is overgrown and unusable but not closed off & the beach is a little dirty but drive up the road there's beautiful spots for swimming.

Everything was great we had the mezzanine suit, very comfortable but the private pool water was very cold. The sea was a much better choice for swimming. There is no seating area at the beach. It is a nature reserve.

They cleaned our room every day around 4 pm. It's a little too late, in our opinion.
