Beleza by the Beach

Exceptional and serene location in South Goa, well maintained with nice facilities. You can see that the hotel staff has put a lot of thought into the design and execution of the property.

Nitpicking here, junior suite could do with a bit more space with a working cable connection.

The property is tucked in a beautiful spot with plenty of greenery. The paddy bar is a beautiful place to sit and relax. All the staffs were very helpful and kind. Food is good too and definitely a place to rejuvenate with your loved ones.

Nothing to dislike

It is so beautiful, amazing big rooms, massive pool with gorgeous views of paddy fields, and a serene walk to the beach. We returned later in the trip due to this! There is very little around (no shops etc) so it’s very peaceful.

The reception management are rude and unprofessional. Lacked customer service skills and were not welcoming. Other staff were smiley but poorly trained. This let the property down. It is nice to be greeted warmly on arrival at a hotel when on holiday. Wifi is very poor, and aside from the breakfast (it’s lovely!), evening dinner was not so good. Go to the beach shack, Magzika.

Don’t come here unless you want it to be a slow holiday. We requested extra coffee to the room it never came. Restaurant service was very slow and check out process was 15+ minutes per person. The spa was sadly quite disappointing too.

The rooms were comfortable, clean and cozy

My fiancé and I stayed here and were considering Beleza as a prospective wedding venue. However, the service was slow and not attentive. Once we checked in and got to our room we recieved a call from the reception asking who was staying in the room? Lots of stares from the staff. Ordered room service and got questioned about how we would pay. It was not a comfortable stay, especially when we were considering it for our wedding!

The secluded peace of the paddy fields, very calm empty beach front location was a perfect pause from the pace of the real world. We loved our pool mega room. It was huge, such a beautiful private garden too. The communal main pool was also stunning. Massive, and again very calm. The food was lovely at breakfast, but not great for dinner. Expensive with the taxes too. Many staff but little response! Recommend the beach resto shack just over the bridge, so delicious for sunset.

We have enjoyed ourselves so much that I had to rate it 5 stars. In fact, we are still here for another .5 days and I am already writing the review.Positives:The professional, courteous service provided by so many wonderful staff (Nelson (check in), Pooja (spa), Lucy (spa), Deepesh (restaurant), Tushar (restaurant), Vivaldy(restaurant), Malcolm (housekeeping) to name only a few) is top notch. We cannot have dreamed of enjoying our time more. The 2 bedroom suite we share is amazing. The paths and gardens are beautiful. You cannot see or hear the ocean from the rooms, but it is only a few minutes walk to their beachside restaurant and lounging area. My 84 year old father is able to walk all around the resort and to the beach. The resort is located on a winding, narrow back road and to be honest, I was worried a time or two about actually being brought to the resort...and then you arrive and all is well. My father says the staff interact very well with their visitors and go above and beyond expectations with their attention to details. We highly recommend that you come and enjoy the amazing Beleza By The Beach. William and Brenda

Recommendation for the resort to think about:Placing a bench in the walkway to the beach - Dad (84 yrs) was able to walk it, but it was a little hard and taxing in the heat.

The complex is lovely, very pretty gardens and direct access to the beach - the beach is stunning. I think the hotel needs to streamline its check in and checkout process - both took too long.. They also offer a taxi service, I was surprised to have to pay for the airport pickup at the time of ordering. The taxi from the hotel to the airport was more expensive - a bit of a scam.The pool water was bit "cloudy", not aesthetically pleasing.

Perfect location on Colva Beach with 30min beach walk (7 minute drive) to Colva village. Half way between Betalbatum & Benaulim (dolphins). Large main pool, smaller quieter one at the inhouse Spa (excellent massage/facial). Our room overlookedrice fields with a balcony, was spacious with great king bed, rain shower in large bathroom and a as a quiet retreat when needed. Breakfast buffet was e tensile, this sane restaurant also provided a la carte lunch and was open for dinner. Adjacent Paddy Bar provided a lovely view for absorber’s although our favourite spot, watching brilliant sunsets, was at the beach restaurant/bar where we enjoyed several delicious dinners. There are special offers/dinng promotions throughout the week and music sessions every n weekends. The beach is white, clean and stretches in either direction for long walks: there are beach lifeguards but we didn’t venture into the sea. An absolute highlight of our stay was dinner at JuJu, the hotel’s nearby offsite restaurant - innovative Indian fusion cuisine to tempt the tastebuds, excellent wine , wonderful attentive service and very reasonably priced for the overall inexperience (the hotel provides a free shuttle). We would certainly return here if our travels take us to this way again - we booked it as a relaxation, before long flight home, at end of a month crowded 5 week Indian trip and we’re not disappointed with any aspect. Beautiful hotel, with a very clean pool. They have a restaurant by the pool and one closer to the beach. Staff are friendly and accomodating and theres plenty of them. The room was very spacious, clean and they do a great cleaning every day. They can organize taxi's for you, which is a hassle in Goa.

The prices on the menus are fine(of course outside of the resort is cheaper), but theres a lot of extra charges (10% tip, 9% STGT, 9% CTGT and om alcohol another 22%) which makes the prices quite high.Around the pool the beds in the sun are occupied by people from 9.00 untill afternoon, some leave a bag and dont even use the bed, would be nice if staff was more quick in opening beds up that are not in use for more than 30 min. Wifi was a bit unstable.

The staff was great! Everybody was very welcomed. Especially, Sonya at the reception and Pakush at the beach restaurant especially. The restaurant is great as well.

Last two days there was a wedding at the hotel. It was very busy and crowded. So, if you are looking for a quite space, maybe check with the hotel first what is the wedding shedule.

This is a good hotel. Room (terrace suite) was large, comfortable and clean. Staff were always polite and keen to please. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Lengthy menu with Indian, Thai and European options. Two pools - the second is quite small and 'hiding' to one side of the property. Two restaurants (one beach front) and two bars. Fabulous beach and warm sea. Good beach 'shack' restaurants very close to the hotel - much cheaper to eat and drink here compared to the hotel!

Food and drink is relatively expensive although how it compares to similar standard hotels I'm not sure. Certainly the 'market price' charged for fish at the beachfront restaurant was high - similar prices to the UK after all the taxes. Be aware that taxes in India (including Goa) are around 30% (including a 10% service charge at this hotel) and even higher on alcoholic drinks - around 50% total! Just be aware that the prices you read on food and drink menus are far lower than the cost you will actually pay, as they never include tax.

Poor

There was sand in my bed from the previous stay. They gave me a room in the croner on the forth floor. when i called to pick up my bags they didnt come for 30 mins - i had to drag my bag down 4 floors to make my flight.

Nice beautiful resort. Great gym and breakfast.

I tried to call reception from the gym but it was difficult to do so as the phone didn’t work and I didn’t know what numbers to call. This could be dangerous in an emergency so an easy fix is to include a list of numbers by the phone.

The spa appointment was really hard to get, would have liked for the option of booking the spa the same time as making the room booking. There could have been more goan inspired cuisine.

Wellrun place right next to the beach but they have no beach beds on the beach and its a public beach. That was the only drawback. Food is good.

From the rooms to the beach is a walk through the parking etc that is a downer. The water pressure kept on dropping everyday in the afternoon but was back in a few minutes. The food trays etc were not cleared for two days after keeping themout of the room. The housekeeping was average. They cleaned the room but didn’t replace towels etc despite taking away the used towels.

Everything was great. The room was big, and beautiful - The cottage overall was fantastic. The sitouts were amazing. This was our second time at Beleze, and the best part is Nazare, and the beach access.

Our sower had a slight problem, and this was not fixed, even after a request. Needless to say, it should have been checked before our arrival. To discover the shower not working when you are in the shower, is a difficult situation, because then somehow you have the shower, and then you are done, and forget about it. The hotel should check everything before guest arrival, instead of expecting to respond to complaints. Swimming pool was also not the cleanest.Considering that we booked a cottage, with two rooms, and there was a nice sitting room, there should have been some basic cutlery, such as plates, bowls - just 1-2.
