Hotel Marina - by Liburnia Hotels & Villas

The location of the hotel is amazing,

but unfortunately the rooms are not up to the standard of a four-star hotel. In our room, the water in the bathroom did not drain properly, flooding the toilet area. The TV remote control didn’t work, the fridge shelf was broken, and the balcony door did not close well. The phone to call reception was out of order, and when we tried to use the water kettle, the entire electricity in the room went out. Overall, the rooms are in need of serious renovation.

Sea is good, beach is good, food is good but it was repeated

While the overall experience is great, there are a few areas that could use some attention. The hotel's amenities, while functional and perfectly fine for a comfortable stay, do show their age and could benefit from some remodeling. The large number of children at the hotel can also make for a noisy environment at times, which might be a drawback for those seeking a more tranquil getaway. A refresh of these facilities would elevate the hotel from a good choice to an exceptional one, bringing the aesthetics up to the same high standard as the food and atmosphere.

Great location, room was not too big but decent value for the money. Breakfast was good, wellness and Spa also very good although Gym was too small and limited in equipment.

Nothing that I did not really like

Everything was perfect, but our favorite was Viktoria, the animator who was babysitting our 4 years old girl :)

We really liked the location, close to the see. Also the walking possibilities even with children (like walking up to Moscenice). And you can buy ice cream, coffee or other foods around the hotel, this is perfect. Both the breakfast and dinner are very fine

In the restaurant we receive drinks for free. This is good. I only would like to have something that is not very cold drink. Maybe you had it and I just missed it. Anyway the restaurant was perfect as usual

Everything is to recommend!

The room was nice and spacious, and the breakfast and dinner were tasty. However, you must arrive at the restaurant early to catch the entire offer. There are plenty of hiking trails in the surroundings.The personnel was extremely helpful.

According to the hotel plan, we obtained one of the largest rooms available. For that - many thanks. But in such an excellent room, they have built the connection doors!!! They have spoiled the whole goal of the best room in the hotel since you hear everything from the neighbour's room—from talking to all-night voices!Additionally, the best places in the restaurant were reserved for groups, and the rest were for individual travelers. An unfair separation of the guests where I suppose we have paid for the accommodation more as the groups.

Putovali smo sa pesekom i kućnom macom i nije bilo nikakvog problema. Bookirali smo standardnu sobu a kad smo došli ponudili su nam malo veću sa balkonon, što nas je zaista ugodno iznenadilo. Ponuda za doručak je zaista izvrsna a sva peciva su sviježa i ukusna. Za razliku od nekih drugih hotela koji formalno primaju pse a u biti ne žele ih vidjeti ovdje zaista cijene i poštuju kućne ljubimce i nema nikakvog problema! Bar radi do 23 sati a mi smo došli u 22:50 misleći da će nas odbiti poslužiti jer za 10 minuta zatvaraju ali, nisu, ljubazno su nas poslužili! Osoblje je zaista fantastično, ljubazno, i spremno pomoći. Porcije u restoranu su vrlo ukusne i nisu skupe a najljepše nam je bilo sjediti u vrtu vani gdje se može piti i jesti. Imali smo sobu koja gleda na brdo i na prekrasne cedrove posađene ispred hotela.

A very pleasant small hotel, in the lobby and wellness there are vaporizers with pleasant aromas. Neat and clean rooms with modern equipment - kudos to the cleaners. Extremely friendly staff. The food is fresh and deliciously prepared, as well as beautifully presented. The indoor and outdoor pools are well-kept, clean and inviting. In short, a very nice and pleasant stay was ensured.

This is by no means a scolding or a negative remark! Maybe the hotel's exterior atriums could be arranged a little more, as far as the green areas are concerned. Additional watering, arrangement of bushes. Now it is nice, but considering the excellent interior of the hotel, the excellent staff, the surroundings could be added. But there was no trash or litter anywhere. Just a little more attention on the green areas.

The location is good, close to the beach, it is picturesque, the hotel has potential but is neglected, the staff speaks good English. There is parking paid for 11€ per day. Pets are allowed, for 22 € per day which are also allowed in the restaurant in a designated area.

Everything in the hotel is outdated except the lobby bar and the restaurant. I think the hotel is living up to its former glory. It's full of old people drinking disgusting cheap alcohol. The food in the restaurant rotates for several days, if you don't eat today for 3-4 days, it is offered in a different form with couscous or other additives. The meat that is missing is generally old and deep-frozen, as is the fish. The pizzas are amazing, I dare say this was the best pizza I've ever tasted. Congratulations to the guy who makes them, I met him personally. The rooms are small and outdated, not dirty from lack of cleaning, just worn out. Our room was visited by a huge spider, I emphasize huge, pincer, ants. The bathroom is very small, I could not bathe my 4-year-old son, there is no ventilation in the bathroom. The room is unsafe for small children, all the furniture has sharp edges, our son hit his head on the edge of the cupboard in the tenth minute, bending down to pick up the ball. I think the price quality is unfair 175€ per night 11€ for a 2 kg Chihuahua dog. 22€ for parking, which is a bare meadow and your car is again at 40 degrees. I didn't have a good experience in this hotel My wife was worried both nights because of bugs. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything.

The mini disco was fun and the staff really made an effort to include all children. It was also the right mix of the same songs with variations at the end (games, a film, face painting), etc.

Teeny tiny bathroom. not even space for the bin they provide. Rooms so loud, we had to run the AC for the sole purpose of drowning out the noise from the corridor. The pool looks about three times larger in the pictures than it is. The splash pad was out of order for the whole summer 2024.The beach was so full you can literally not find free space to even walk to the sea. They lock all the gates, it’s unnecessarily complicated to get anywhere. It’s clearly a hotel catering for children but then dinner doesn’t start until 7. Both my kids had food poisoning on days 2&3, which didn’t help with our impression of the place.

Restaurant was really nice with great food. Drinks included during the meal. Our kids really liked playing ping-pong and evening entertainments with "LIRI" were amazing, too. Hotel was quiet, close to the beach. We really enjoyed!

I stayed at the Marina Hotel for 10 days. It was a really fantastic vacation for me.I must highlight the exceptional appearance and decoration of the hotel. I especially emphasize the tidiness, neatness and cleanliness of all premises: lobby, atrium, corridors, staircases, public toilets, gym, bar, restaurant - and of course my room (thoroughly cleaned and ordered every morning).The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful, kind and competent:- receptionists were always nice and at my service, offering advice and answers to my inquiries and questions. It was a pleasure to communicate with them on a daily basis;- waiters and waitresses were very friendly, polite and quick in providing service;- restaurant is a special story since the chefs prepared numerous delicious dishes each day for everyone's taste. From the vege and vegetarian dishes, fish specialties, pasta in various ways, to the large number of meat dishes. I have to emphasize a particularly outstanding salad bar in the central part of the restaurant. A really large and varied offer of salads, again for everyone's taste. I have to admit that I enjoyed these salads every day. That's why I have to express special gratitude to the chefs. Sincere compliments on your work;- last but not the least, special thanks to the cleaners and housekeepers for the maintenance of the hotel premises and especially the neat keeping for my room;- finally, I have to mention every evening after dinner charming performances for the numerous youngest guests. The kids enjoyed very much dancing with performers, playing with clowns, watching different attractive acrobats etc .Although I did not have the opportunity to meet, I want to express praise and admiration to the hotel management for organizing, keeping and sustaining really very high level of service and accommodation in the Hotel Marina.

Hotel is near the beach in a very nice small town.Good indoor swimming pool.

Dont look at the photos, they were real maybe 15 years ago, now the hotel rooms and itself already looks old. Heavily overpriced.Canteen type of food (no view, no taste - plain), you almost need to fight for the last piece of omlette one hour before the breakfast ends, lack of fresh vegeteables and fruits.Sound isolation in room does not exist. And it is super noisy due to lots of small kids, you wont need an alarm, some shouting or crying kids will defintelly woke you up and keep you awake late.In one room we had ants invasion, kid was having 10 per day in her bed.There is no place to dry your stuff except the balcony railing, which make it look even worse.Old A/C, not clean.Max 3*.

Perfect locality, wide sortiment of high quality food for breakfast / lunch / dinner as well. Nice view from the hotel room. But the overall experience was saved by the very nice, helpful, mindreading personal!

Really not a good price/quality ratio. Bathroom ridiculously small, even with a normal, european body proportions. Also, asking for a very high parking fee beside of high enough price overall.

Very good and different type of food. Fresh salades, delicious meats. Nice location for familly rest. Clean long beach beside hotel, blue clear water with small nice shops around. Very good servise in hotel. Very kind staff. Children liked evening programs. We will return next year. Thank you.

Poor

The main attraction for kids outside the hotel is broken for more than a year we heard. But the price is too huge. We came here because of this attraction which does not work.Another negative experience. For this prices, parking should be FREE
