Pros +
- Most staff were professional and funny. The room's sound isolation was quite good. The food was diverse and generally good; however, you could always find something that tasted great.
- Service, food, facilities, animation, pool, gym
- The sun loungers were very comfortable and there were plenty of them around the pool. The gym is also well equipped.
Cons -
- Climate control was not strong enough. The usable pool was only half of the water surface (the other half was shallow).
- The rooms are very tired, definitely not 4*. Never have I had to pay for a safe in a 4* hotel. The air con didn’t work that well. There was no iron or ironing board in the room. Limited mirrors, I had to dry my hair in a very humid bathroom; there was no humidistat fans. There’s a kettle in the room, but no coffee or tea. The daily entertainment was as annoying; killer darts and soft archery to name a few… I want to relax on holiday and not to be interrupted by tacky music and tanoys. I don’t expect this in a 4* resort. This kind of stuff was going on in the 90s. The hotel appears to be very under staffed, particularly the bar area. The location isn’t great either, it’s on a main road - there are not many decent places to eat outside the hotel apart from the west end burger place and el toro. The hotels snack menu around the pool bar is limited and doesn’t really cater for vegetarians. You are forbidden to eat your own snacks around the pool area and staff watch you like hawks.
- Staff were curt. A few staff were friendly, many were rude, some were indifferent. Often stood for ages to get a drink and they didn’t even acknowledge you. Strange towel policy that was just a bit chintzy for a 4*, no staff or service at all on roof terrace, no tea and coffee in rooms, empty fridge in rooms, very poor buffet dinner.

The pool area is well laid out with comfortable loungers and beds. Rooms were clean and decent size. Location was fair. Poolside snacks were tasty.

All as it was described. Great staff , food variety excellent. Gym superb. Close to beach and shops. Well looked after.
Very poor experience upon checking in with receptionist. Other than that the plus points are very clean hotel, good food and restaurant staff
Huge disappointment
Unfortunately, my stay at the Hotel Caserio was a huge disappointment and did not correspond to the desired quality at all. I would like to emphasize that this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel with the room category deluxe double room. I changed rooms, but the 2nd room was hardly any better. The following points were inadequate:1. The toilet was dirty and broken, the paint on the seat was coming off (in both rooms!)2. The air conditioning barely worked (even after 3 hours without guests (!) non-stop operation, the room temperature was still 25 degrees) (in both rooms!)3. The wall in the bathroom was broken4. The wall in the bedroom had many dark stains (in both rooms!)5. Bed linen and towels had to be changed regularly because they arrived dirty in our room (in both rooms!)6. The electricity in the room was faulty and regularly went out (in the 2nd room)7. The fridge did not work. I had to replace it myself (in the 2nd room)8. The shower was rusty and dirtyAdditionally, the service and help from the hotel staff was often inadequate, they simply did not care. For example, one day we complained about dirty bedsheets and towels at 2pm at the reception. Despite telling us, they will send the cleaning service immediately, nothing changed in the next 5 hours until we complained again at the reception.I have attached the six sample photos regarding the room quality
1st rate hotel lovely and clean comfortable excellent facilities, and lovely staff
All good
It was a quiet and close to beach and local eateries.
Paid a deposit for damages and still waiting 4 weeks later to be reimbursed.Sent an email and still waiting on a reply.
Hotel facilities are excellent, clean and comfortable. Food is good and has alot of choice.
Our room was located on the first floor near a staff store room leading to staff stair well where staff gathered from 7.30am making a lot of noise preparing for cleaning. This was every morning. The stairwell was in use all night often with loud noises of equipment being used and moved.
Very comfortable hotel in an excellent location. The breakfasts were amazing - so much choice of cooked food and the omelettes were delicious- freshly cooked to order. Plenty of fruit choices, smoothies and doughnuts - highly recommended ?. Enough sunbeds by the pool although they are quite close together. Rooms were clean, plenty of wardrobe space and hangers, and a lovely balcony with sea and pool views. All the staff were very friendly and helpful- especially in the dining room.
The evening meals were a little hit and miss for us - lots of fish and pork choices which we're not keen on but other nights there was chicken and beef. We never went hungry. There was just 1 night where the chef was cooking chicken on the hotplate and we asked for the roast beef. He was still wearing the same gloves to slice the cooked beef that he had handled the raw chicken with. We didn't say anything as he was very busy but with hindsight that shouldn't be happening. Apart from that everything was fine.
breakfast was great, lots of hot and cold choice for all tastes.Lovely and clean daily. Fresh towels.
We were given no information on arrival. Not even Wifi password, or explanation about in-room safe or tokens for pool towels or anything else! No hotel or area information in room. No phone in room. No way of contacting reception or housekeeping.Room was pretty basic for a 4*. bed seemed comfortable, memory foam I think but after a few nights, not so good. No drawers anywhere, no shelves in bathroom to put toiletries. Nowhere reachable to hang towels. Kettle provided in room but no tea, coffee, sugar for even a welcome brew when you arrive. Very uncomfortable chairs on balcony. Avoid north facing where you never get any sun but on 8th floor you get uninterrupted view of nude sunbathers in opposite hotel!!!
The meals were excellentThe poolside loungers and shades were excellentThe Gym was beautifully located and equipped
The lifts seemed to lack capacity. There are 2, They are rated for 6 people but are small for this number and the wait times can be quite long at peak meal times
We have stayed here twice now. It’s a nice hotel with good size rooms. The Breakfast and evening meals offer a wide a range of food which does vary each day.Staff are well trained and are very friendly.
The extra’s in the rooms are very limited. There is a kettle with cups but no tea/ coffee were supplied. An ironing board in the room would have been appreciated, however I did not ask to borrow one. There is a soap dispenser in the shower, I used this sometimes, but preferred using my own.
That was an amazing hotel. We had a good time there sunbathing on their rooftop with such beautiful views of Maspalomas dunes. The food choices were good. The people were polite and friendly. The surprising bonus was a sauna free of charge. And the gym was well equipped. The room was very comfortable. I did have a good sleep there. The location is just perfect, 300 m from the promenade and the beach. I do recommend this hotel for the stay on Playa del Ingles.
Good location. Nice food good breakfast. Good staff
The cleaning staff was lovely and very good. However they come around very early and it’s very loud
Lovely hotel very clean staff all very nice and helpful. The very young girl on reception amazing young lady so so nice. Buffet breakfast is fantastic
Cleaners knocking the door at 8:30 each morning. We asked about it and was told to hang the do not disturb on door each night and take it off when up for breakfast and they would call back. The woman cooking the eggs christ how they have her dealing with the public I don't know. Kettle in room but no tea bags coffee it's 2025 please put them in room.
Breakfast, big room, big bathroom, clean, roof terrace, bar, plenty of sunbeds (with thick mattresses), helpful receptionist
Would have preferred a room with afternoon/early evening sun
Hotel, room and facilities were perfect and the whole hotel spotlessly clean.
Food not labelled, cooked meat was raw inside. No one seemed to care. Younger reception staff very helpful while older staff were abrupt or simply ignored you.
Breakfast and gym were excellent. All Staff below par and miserable. If the cooks making the omelettes at breakfast could throw them at you they probably would!
Staff. Spanish trained rather than European. Customer service is extremely lacking.
