Pros +
- The piano and water features
- Beautiful pool and views from the rooms. Rooms were spacious, clean and modern. The hallways and common spaces are a little dark and dingy and can use updating.
- The hotel is perfectly located on the seacoast, within a 20-minute drive from Palma. It's a very nice and quiet place, and if you are lucky to get seaside view, you can enjoy it from the balcony. One can open the windows and breathe fresh air, which is perfect during the spring and fall periods, when the weather is good. They have a small parking lot to accommodate guests who have arrived in their own car. One can walk or drive to the nearby village, where one can find plenty of restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, etc.The breakfast buffet is excellent, there is sufficient variety, and the quality of food is very high. The service everywhere, including the Reception and the restaurant, is excellent and friendly.
Cons -
- The rooms were dated and smaller than needed for three family members
- While the property had great beach access and proximity to the water, it was a bit far from nearby stores and restaurants. They had a shuttle bus but the return times weren’t great. The nearby town is also very touristy and not very charming.
- The only downside to be aware of is that the hotel's age (built right after WWII, and the last renovation must have been decades ago) starts to show. Carpets in the corridor are old and sometimes smelly, rooms have old-style massive keys, and the room interior is very basic (like vinyl floors). Also, the gym is tiny, hard to find, and poorly ventilated. Still, we think it can be ignored in view of all other great things.

If was right on the beach and had the most perfect views. 20 minute walk to nearby restaurants and bars and coffee beach , and short hike to a very secluded nude beach . Restaurant was great, and was great having pool bar . Gym was always empty, and although they said they were fully booked it didn’t seem over crowded ever, and they had free yoga which was very beginner friendly and age inclusive to fit the crowd.
They didn’t have coffee in the rooms or lobby so we had to pay for coffee every day … they did provide the instant coffee after I asked but I was not interested in drinking that so just bought their coffee downstairs , which was really good
If you're looking for an authentic family-run hotel experience, then I'd recommend highly. Fantastic location with an amazing outlook. We'll go again.
Location, staff, food and accommodation.
The suite with sea view was amazing. We had a balcony as well as a large terrace. The room was huge with a nice shower. The hotel is right across the street from the beach which is awesome. Unfortunately we only spent one night here so we didn't get to use most of the amenities, however I would definitely stay here again. To me, the price is very reasonable for a 4 star hotel experience right next to the beach.
Everything - friendly staff, location, hotel room, cleanliness, food. Everything was great.
The location and views were great. All the staff I interacted with were helpful, friendly, and professional. The food was excellent. I liked the dinner choice of buffet or selected menu. I requested single rooms with a water view. I was very pleased we had a private balcony with a stunning view.
I liked everything.
Cleanliness, food and friendly staff. Lovely beach which gives preferential treatment to hotel guests for sun lounges.
Distance from any shop. 15 min walk to nearest shop.
The staff were excellent, the whole hotel was cleaned to perfection. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere that is so well maintained. The team at reception were very helpful day and night. The bar staff and restaurant staff all very friendly and made us feel so welcome.
The bed could have been a bit softer
Breakfast was spectacular! Staff was helpful, efficient, and timely. What a treasure. Transfer services were professional and so worth it! Likely the best breakfast and shower around.
I appreciated having local sourcing and favorites on the menus, more of that with descriptions, please!
The hotel is very nice and in a great area. It has a restaurant that you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The room that we stay was spacious and had a nice bathtub, with a beautiful view to the beach ‘Cala’❤️. There is a lot of nature around and opportunities to beautiful walks and secret ‘calas’.
It’s a 20 min walk to Paguera boulevard, but is a very scenic walk and we enjoy. No public transportation to the area, but that is what makes the area more peaceful because there is not a lot of traffic in the area. There are UBER and Taxi services available, or parking with cost .
We booked a room with a sea view and really loved it. The location is great - Cala Fornells is a beautiful cove. The room size is excellent, especially with a large standalone bathtub.
Breakfast could have had more varieties of fresh fruits.
The beach, the staff, the view. The pools.
Nothing. Everything was great.
Nice location on the coast, good breakfast and comfortable spacious rooms. The tennis court was nice to have as well.

Calla Fornells is the classic seaside resort. Original green glass chandeliers, floral decor in the guest rooms, wrought iron balconies overlooking the sea, and keys on heavy fobs that you leave at the front desk give it a boho 40s and 50s glamour vibe. Highlights are sipping drinks on the large and inviting front patio, sunbathing at the rooftop pool with fantastic views of the coastline, wading into the sea, the ample buffet breakfast and dinner, and the relaxed, pleasant atmosphere among the guests and staff. A most enjoyable ending to our vacation in Mallorca.
The most important thing to say is that ALL the staff at this hotel are friendly, helpful, good tempered and exceptionally efficient, couldn't rate them highly enough. This alone made a very positive impact on our stay. The breakfast buffet was very good - varied, plentiful and again the staff were very pleasant and efficient. Same goes for the dinner buffet. The location of the hotel is at the end of the road from the nearest town, Peguera. This means the traffic is very light and gives a sense of exclusivity. The bar terrace overlooks the Cala with good views across the crystal clear blue water, natural shading from the trees and comfortable seating.Excellent free shuttle to and from Peguera 4 times a day or you can walk - use the coast road (map from reception) about 15 to 20 mins tops.
The terrace bar is well located for drinks in the evening and drinks and light lunch in the afternoon. The slight irritation is that you cannot bill to your room and must settle the tab there and then. This means that a pre-dinner drink for example, must be paid for before entering the dining room - caught us out a couple of times. The hotel provides towels for the pool and beach and even reserves sun loungers with towels for guests. The pool itself is quite cold (maybe time of year being mid-October) and the beach is tiny and rocky and gets crowded very quickly. We anticipated this but it's worth pointing out for travellers who may look forward to some serious lounging on a sandy beach.
staff extremely courteous and helpful. View fantastic. very comfy beds. The cleaning ladies did an excellent job also.
Ithink the outdoor dining space could be a bit bigger if possible. We never ate inside once but only because we preferred outside and the weather was good.We did ask some parents at the pool to stop their children somersalting into the pool and diving, etc but I wont repeat the reply. The children could have hurt theirselves.
Location was phenomenal. Staff were friendly, efficient & knowledgeable. Food was of high quality & the choice outstanding . Other guests seemed happy & enjoying their holiday , staff seemed happy & enjoying their job . I can’t rate this Hotel enough .
Nothing . It ticked all our boxes .
