    Pros +

    • It was in a good location. Great pool and the breakfast wasn’t bad.
    • lovely pleasant staff, lovely pool to swim in, only a few metres from the beach and restaurants
    • The hotel is in a perfect location, just by the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and bars around it but it feels tucked away nicely. The staff is lovely and helpful. The place is run by a family and has a family feel to it. The swimming pool is great and the area by the swimming pool is perfect for relaxation when you want to stay away from the beach. The rooms are immaculate and the daily room service is second to none!

    Cons -

    • The property is very very old and needs renovation. I had to move rooms because the a/c didn’t work. It wasn’t very clean either. The people who worked there were kind and tried to do everything to help but the management / owners were rude. I had an issue that my partner was coming to stay for an additional night and wanted to pay the supplement and the lady owner made a huge issue over it on the phone and was screaming and shouting and unable to hold a normal conversation about the booking.com policy. I was finally able to prove my point but only after a very stressful conversation. There was also someone who I think may have been family that sat in reception all day and slept in a chair it looked awful and completely unprofessional. The area isn’t fantastic and I wouldn’t recommend either the hotel or the resort - unless you want a trip down memory lane to the 1960s.
    • breakfast was ok, could have been a bit better, having said that, the staff were very attentive and helpful
    • The hotel is positioned near a busy restaurant with live music on so if you do not like the noise and want to go to bed before 11 then it might be a little much, not for us as we loved it! The rooms do not have kettle or glasses but the glasses can be borrowed from the bar downstairs.

Location of the hotel is wonderful, people at the reception are the soul of this vintage hotel, patio and swimming pool are very nice

coffee at the breakfast room is just undrinkable

the location is perfect pretty much by the beach, staff was very nice too, the swimming pool is certainly a plus, although it closes early

the single room was very small and old, the bathroom had an odd smell, breakfast was okay except the coffee which was of the worst I've ever had

Location good. Friendly staff Good powerful shower. Nice clean good sized pool

Unprofessional staff when things went wrong. Indifference when they ran out of towels and only after much chasing were we given 2 hand towels for showering. Water leak meant they turned off the water in bathroom bar toilet but didn’t supply bottled water for hand washing etc. Had been off for 20 hours when we left . Inappropriate letter at reception and in rooms stating if air conditioning turned to lower than 22 degrees they would switch it off in your room for 48hours. No fridge for a cold drink during the night. Safe was an extra charge. Decor dated and very tired. Hotel in great need of major financial investment to bring it up to expected standards

    everything was okay

The hotel is charming, a real gem. It’s old-fashioned in a good way, still retained by the family who built it and who still work there each day to oversee operations. The owners and their staff are friendly and helpful and it is clear that they all really care about their guests and make every effort to look after them well. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and is located right next to the stunning beach on one side and a long strip of shops and restaurants on the other. There is a bus stop just a few steps away from the hotel which offers regular journeys to Palma, the airport and to other resorts along the coast. The food options in the hotel were somewhat limited, but certainly adequate for us and everything we ate was well presented and nicely cooked. We felt that the hotel Gaya was excellent value for money and we would definitely stay at this hotel again should we return to the island.

We didn’t find anything not to like!

Location is perfect. Third time here. Staff are friendly and always willing to help.

Could do with some mosquito deterrents but I know this isn’t something easily controlled.

The breakfast was superb, cuts od meat, cheeses, variity of eggs, boiled scrambled etc. Super selection of juicwa plus coffee & iced water, yogurts, selection of breads plus toasting facilities, butter & spreads etc Didn't have the evening meal so no comment.

Absolutely nothing, we had the option too of having breakfast by the pooolside & the staff were courteous & friendly

Very clean, good food, friendly staff and 2 min from the beach ⛱

The furniture from the 19th century in the rooms needs to be upgrade whih better one, also there is a restaurant opposite the hotel with live music till 12am which can be a bit annoying

    7NeilPosted on: 7-9-2022

Breakfast - coffee poor, juice not the best, hot food on only 1 day. Location excellent.

    Breakfast.

    8EarlPosted on: 6-26-2022

clean and comfortable and close to sea/beach

front facing bedroom ( my choice) may be regarded by some ( though not me )as too noisy

    6GiuliaPosted on: 6-22-2022

The location was good for relaxing, close to the beach, and very nice.

Breakfast is not the best...cleaning so and so... No fridge in the room, and is summer is very important.is not a traditional Spanish area for sure and too much noisy from the room and cleaning service very bad.
