Marirena Hotel

The owner is very kind woman and she explained us the thing that we need to know about the property and the area and here it unfortunately finished.

It’s very old building and not Well-kept and preserved that’s To put it mildly, not a good smell in the rooms, we took two rooms for only one night till the morning because we have a early flight.The mattress was uncomfortable and the blankets was not a good smell. A lot of noise till late at night from near by hotel.And the top of the thing was at the morning before the flight we want to take a shower and the water was cold very cold so we couldn’t make a shower.The air condition limit to 20 degrees The key of the room have to be connected to magnetic stuff on the wall so the electrical power in the apartment can’t work without this, and when i want to open or close the door we need to take it out from the magnetic holder on the wall and you can’t see nothing because the lights shut down, also if you want to leave the phone for charge you cant.I very sorry to tell this because the owner was marvelous women but when you host people even for a short night that supposed to be basic+ and it didn’t even was close to that.

Nice hotel to stay, with incredible staff! All of the staff members were super helpful and incredible nice and caring. The hotel is nearby the beach and you have easy access to transportation by bus to the city center or Nnossos Palace.

Breakfast was average and location was ok

We ordered a double bed not 2 single beds shoved together.The toilet had shit in it.The bed was rock hard(very uncomfortable).The shower curtain rail was bending down.The fridges freezer box didn’t have a door on it so it froze everything in the fridge.When you sat on the bed the single bed slid on the floor.The breakfast was average

low season, they gave me street view room first, I needed to ask for a pool view, as well I needed few more hours for late Chack in low season and they wanted half night price, they could be more generous

Great place for the value . Close to the beach and the main street with plenty shops and restaurants . The room was cleaned and the towews changed despite the fact we were there only for two nights.I recommend this place.

Close to the beach, AMAZING staff- kitchen, reception and the cleaning ladys- great great people!!!! Also the bar staff is always nice and helpful ? Room tidy up every day, the common area nice big and really clean ?. Good breakfast, various options for drinks and food- in the hotel but also around. Lots of nice restaurants, taverns and shops close by. Bus stop literally just 2 minutes away! I will probably come back soon- I like it A LOT!!!!

Bathroom a bit small( and smelly sometimes ), but actually not big deal- just for shower and toilet, so acceptable...

The service is very good, it exceeded my expectations, the staff is very good, the cleanliness is excellent, the workers are very respectful and always smiling, close to the beach and close to the shopping street, the bus stop is very close, so the choice was good. I will definitely come back to the same hotel. And thanks to Bella in the reception, she was very respectful and helped us a lot.Anbefale ?

Very friendly and helpful staff. Cheap hotel. Just needed something overnight because return flight got cancelled due to severe weather conditions.

Location quite on the outskirts of Heraklion.

That is perfect for the swimming pool, beach, near bus to Heraklions city and resturant ! Wow amazingly location make me calm and lovely to see the sunrise and sunset on the Windows from hôtel and also beach . I walked to beach from hôtel around 5 minutes. Everything is best hôtel and perfect location !

The hotel is 1 minute from the beach. Amazingly kind and nice staff.The food in the restaurant is deliciuos, must try :)
