This place was very clean and the breakfast was great

No hot tub or sauna in the winter and gym area was outdoors. We couldn’t use the equipment because it was too wet from the rain

Babbis was great, he is great at his job. Rooms were clean, hot tub was prepared beforehand, breakfast was good and definitely more than what we expected.

There was some mosquitoes but also they provided some tablets to prevent it. Maybe mosquito nets would be better solution

the food was amazing, the breakfast was rich and fulfilling with enough variety, the dinner was a 5 course of very satisfying dishes that changed every day.The facilities were great, the pool was good size with a lot of beds and sun beds around, the jacuzzi was also great at the right temperature, and the gym is cozy with everthing you need (except to a squat rack but I didn't expected to see one).The staff was very warm and helpful and helped with everything we needed.

Great location, nice to have a pool in the room and shared pool. Very close to the beach and delicious breakfast.

Cleaning could be better, in reality rooms are smaller than pictures , hotel in general needs renovation as it looks tired ?

Wonderful hotel - lovely spacious room with great facilities. Everything was very clean. Nice pool, garden and lots of sunbeds. The restaurant was amazing (we had both dinner and breakfast there). The best thing was the staff though - everyone was so friendly and welcoming (reception, restaurant, cleaning staff)!! Definitely recommended. Also protected free parking for guests, and a 5 min walk from the long beach of Amoudara. Would come back!

The sofa bed for the third person was pretty hard, but ok for a night. Otherwise really nothing to complain about!

The staff was exceptional and could not do enough for you. Anything you wanted or needed was supplied happily. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillow choices. Pool towels were free and readily available as well as bath towels. The food was fabulous with great variety. We ate breakfast each day at the hotel and one dinner. The dinner menu is changed daily and was excellent and service was impeccable. The location was right next to a bus stop so going into town was easy with buses every 20 minutes. The beach was a 10 minute walk. The hotel will arrange transportation and tours for you if requested. The room was cleaned daily. I would definitely stay there again.

There could have been a sea view, but I did not miss it. The pool was great and very well cared for. So I really loved everything about this hotel.

The breakfast options were plentiful. The grounds were well-kept. It was close to the airport.

When we first arrived, we were shown to a room that was very disappointing. It was extremely small, the bathroom was not clean, and the air conditioning unit was positioned directly over the bed, making it uncomfortable. The balcony was almost entirely taken up by a large hot tub, leaving only enough space for a tiny table and two chairs, which made it essentially unusable.We requested a new room, and to the hotel manager’s credit, our request was honored after a couple of days. The new room was much better, and we appreciated that effort.Unfortunately, our experience at dinner was another disappointment. My friend ordered the grilled tuna, which should have been served rare, but instead it was completely overcooked and inedible. When she mentioned this to the wait staff, they simply shrugged and walked away without offering any solution or concern, which left a very poor impression of the service.We were also dissatisfied with the hotel’s location. The description online suggested it was close to many restaurants, offered a lively nightlife, and sat near a beautiful beach. In reality, there were very few dining options, no nightlife to speak of, and the beach was far from impressive. The area felt more like an extension of the city than a relaxing beach destination, which was not at all what we expected.

Pool is beautiful

We had to carry our 50lb luggage up a number of steps. Not conducive for senior citizens. The AC went out in the middle of the night opened windows and we were swarmed by mosquitoes. Pipes in bathroom stunk of sewer. No sleep all night dozens of bug bites!

Property was very beautiful and well put together

The staff at the reception desk, as well as the staff in the restaurant where wonderful. They always provided a warm, sincere greeting.

I was somewhat disappointed by housekeeping. After arriving, I noticed the little veranda for my room was extremely dirty. Perhaps hadn’t been swept or washed for quite some time. I decided I would do it myself, after they had finished cleaning the room. Housekeeping did not appreciate my help, and gave me attitude for the rest of my stay.

the food was great. breakfast was rich and the dinמer was tasty and surprising. we took the big room with the private heated pool and it was great. the room was big, the water was warm and the bed was very comfortable.

the location wasn`t that close to anything, there is a supermarket nearby and that`s it. the gym was neglected but functional .

The hotel had a beautiful gardens and great swimming pool. The bar and restaurant very good. The staff were great, friendly and very helpful. The beach was ok

If your after a holiday that is just spent around the pool and hotel that's great but if you venture out it's not a very nice area.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, making our experience even better. We booked the jacuzzi room, which was perfect for the March weather—so relaxing!The location is great, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making it super easy to get around, even late at night. The beach is just a 5-minute walk away, and Amoudara Beach was lovely. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of open space. Private parking is also available.Breakfast was great, and we also had dinner at the hotel—highly recommend signing up for it! The chef takes dietary preferences into account, and the food was amazing. One of the highlights for us was how pet-friendly the hotel is. We traveled with our puppy, and the staff was so loving towards him. He had plenty of space to play, which made our stay even more enjoyable.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and can only recommend staying here!

Excellent tropical vibes by the pool. Relaxing stay with comfortable bed. Loved the outdoor bed loungers. We discovered the jacuzzi near the back and very much enjoyed! The breakfast buffet was amazing with traditional and local foods. Very professional staff. Short 5 minute walk to beach.

On arrival we were greeted by à charming and efficient receptionist. She understood our needs and was happy to help with à smile.Our room was large and spotless. Really wonderful.The on premisses parking for our car was near to the hôtel building.The hôtel rooms was surounded by à nice lawn and the swimming pool is gorgeous.All of it spotless. The buffet breakfast was plentyful with large sélection of items eaten in sunny spotless well equipped Breakfast room.

The bed sheets were too short on the beds. It s à shame as besides that, the beds were confortable.

An amazing hotel with an incredible staff! They were very flexible and always available for any request. The jacuzzi room was a great choice, as recommended by the staff.They also suggested some excellent restaurants, which were definitely worth it, and helped us rent a car at a reasonable price.It was a lovely off-season vacation, and we would love to visit again in the summer. We’re looking forward to their recommendations!

The design and room was chic the hottub was perfect for two and hot !! The staff were fabulous … the restaurant was excellent !! Anna and the chef were so accommodating and giving and happy !! Perfect at making your experience awesome !!! Food was amazing the four course meal creative and delicious !! The wine and breakfast excellent !! The poolAtmosphere look fun for summer and you can have a ocean view ! Since it’s one block from hotel !! Great base to travel the coast !! Thank you for a amazing stay !!!

Coukd not have enjoyed the stay at Malena more - Loved the rooms, I had the executive suite which had a balcony and a private Jacuzzi. Spacipus rooms, the beds were very comfortable, flatscreen TV was great and had Netflix loaded on it. Jacuzzi was on 24/7 and was so lovely to dip into day or night.The breakfast was always lovely, fresh orange juice machine, lovely freshly made granola, Greek honey, spanikopita (spinach & feta pie) loads of freshly baked breads and spreads. (General stuff like omelettes, sausages, bacon there every morning too)If you want to up your experience - get a room with a balcony, watching the sun rise and set from the hotel was very peaceful and a beautiful unexpected addition.The pool was very nice, really clean - very cold in November but that's to be expected.*Restaurant has several great options for dinner, lovely staff in all areas (reception, restaurant, bar, cleaners).50 metres away there is a huge supermarket with all foods, drinks, snacks you could want. Bits of clothing and toiletries as well if any are needed. Across the road from the hotel entrance there's a nice cafe - a great bakery less than 2 minutes stroll. 2 or 3 decent restaurants beside the hotel. There is also a pharmacy 30 metres from hotel if you need anything.The food delivery app Wolt is fantastic if you're looking for any kind of dinner delivered. Il Pazzo - Pizzeria in Heraklion centre delivers to the hotel - beat pizza on the island*If you're a solo female traveller - when out and about - only get in taxis that have a YELLOW reg plate. But any taxi man that the hotel organizes for you is vetted and safe.*Everywhere I explored on crete takes debit card - which is really handy* whether its the market stalls in Heraklion, taxis, supermarkets, olive oil tours / experiences around the island. Authentic cooking class in Chania was well worth the day trip also.

Some little spiders can occasionally make their way into the rooms - but this happens everywhere on the island it's not hotel specific.* The room i had was fairly soundproof to general noise - but for a 4 night period, the room next to mine was maybe louder than the average guest, and that sound really travelled. But this could well have been guests just being very loud.*

Shower- the pressure of the water

Hospitality- It was my my birthday, solo trip. I had booked ahead and requested for a nice gesture. Not a happy birthday not a note not a slice of anything. Ive always travelled around my birthday and always gotten nice gestures. Nothing at all. I was never asked if I was alright or everything was fine except on the morning of my checkout while I ate and a lady asked if I needed anything else.It’s just a basic hotel, do your thing and leave.I was going to extend my stay but checked out to somehere else for the rest of my time here.
