- The public areas of the property is very nice with beautiful ocean view
- The resort is beautiful and well-maintained, with two excellent public beaches on either side, and a private dock for deep-sea swimming. The pools are clean and nice as well. But the staff are what really makes this place exceptional. They were so kind and thoughtful, and always ready to help. Great programming for children. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to meet any requests, and the food was abundant, varied, and delicious, with options to suit everyone, including our very picky two-year old. The cleaning staff also did an incredible job, the entire resort is very clean and comfortable. We were sad to leave. Thank you for a fantastic vacation!
- The staff was extremely friendly, without exception. They were available for any questions we had. We asked them about many things to do on the island and they were always available to assist us. The location of the hotel is fantastic, the food was good and the meal times were convenient. The beaches were very beautiful and the rooms with sea views are amazing! The resort was 30 min away from the city center, we rented a car, but there were also comfortable bus routes to and from Heraklion to - so it wont be an issue if renting a car wasn’t available.
Cons -
- The half glass shower partition is useless. Everytime we take a shower, the entire shower and toilet get wet. Room 812 is located is the lower level in a dark hallway and it has a terrible sewer smell. There are too many stairs to climb to get to where we wanted to go. Phone and the safe in room were not working.
- The self-serve coffee machine makes really terrible coffee, but when we mentioned it to the staff they made us custom coffees everyday, so this was really not a problem :)
- We traveled in late September; the weather was a bit chilly. There was an indoor pool, but the water wasn't as warm as it should have been and wasn't as clean as the other hotel pools. There was also a strange and unpleasant smell from the bathroom in our room, but it was bearable.

Hotel is beautiful, well maintained, the views are spectacular.
The entertainment at night is very poor. Also starting very late. There is not activities during the day. Should be more active.
Everything was exceptional....variety of food, kind and helpful staff, good beaches and good entertainment programmes
Well my opinion only the should establish a rule to turn of the engine of cars/ coaches while station in front of reception between 00:00 and 6 am...its not pleasent to wake up hearing engine after midnight. And also if animal friendly be sure the owners clean after thei companions
Location, food diversity and quality , private beach, cleaning
The alcoholic beverages included in the all-inclusive package are of basic quality.
Our family consisted of 16 people with 6 kids from age 1 year old to 11, parents, and two seniors. The hotel managed to choose rooms for us so that we were all near to each other. They also cared to give us an extra-large table at the restaurant. The staff was very nice and attentive to our needs. The manager at the restaurant is very kind and considerate. Went out of her way to serve us.We loved the Saltwater pools and the three beaches around, especially the one with direct access to deep water. The food was fine for the various needs of our family.
The only thing that should be fixed is a step near the Saltwater pool, that somehow gets overlooked by many, causing falls. I told the reception about it and they promised to fix it.
The room's water view was beautiful. The property had great views overall with a convenient walk to Agia Pelagia.
The room was dated, the door squeaked, and the property's layout was confusing. There should be more directional maps and signage to help people get around more easily. Stairs, elevators, hallways get you turned around quickly. The "gym" was very minimal and also hard to find with odd restrictions for time and access for a "resort." For all inclusive, the restrictions with which bars and what drinks was also confusing. The spa was not up to the standards we expected. From the poor check-in, subpar massage, was very underwhelmed.
Beautiful resort with great facilities like 2 pools (one salt and other chlorine). Beach access as well as courts to play basketball/tennis/volleyball (multi use court). We stayed in a Sea View family suite and it was a great view. Food was really good as well (we ate at the buffet for all meals).
Couple of flaws in that the shower stall has a small glass piece to keep the water out from the rest of the bathroom but it’s way too small and the bathroom was always soaked after each use. No bathroom fan either. Rooms are very sparsely decorated with only 1 pillow per bed so we had to ask for a couple more. Also you have to walk through the kids room to get to the master bedroom. There is only 1 mirror which was located in the kids room. Our stay apparently also included 1 a la carte dinner but that restaurant was only open a couple of nights for the 5 nights we stayed there and it was already fully booked when we checked in. No where in the lead up information were we told about this otherwise we would’ve made that reservation. It was my daughter’s 19th birthday and we tried to get them to see if they could accommodate our request but they wouldn’t.
The resort was very nice with a lot of amenities onsite. The food was tasty and available almost all day. They had plenty of vegetarian options, pasta, grilled meat and plenty of dessert for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was delicious, too. 2 separate pools plus a kiddie pool. There were 3 beaches within talking distance of the property: 2 public beaches that were pretty rocky and a private “beach” that could more accurately be described as a concrete dock with a cute tiki bar (not part of the all inclusive). They also had onsite boat rentals with and without driver and other water sports that were reasonably priced. The staff was VERY friendly. Mariana checked us in and out with a smile and pleasant conversation both times, despite being very busy.
The resort was about a 30 minute drive from Heraklion, so if you’re looking to do activities you’ll need a rental or sign up for an excursion on site. Though they gave directions at the desk to the room, it was still a challenging to find. We had to take 2 elevators (they were very small) and still go down a set of stairs outside. More signs would be helpful, Or a staff escort.) Not handicap accessible for many rooms, so that may be challenging for some. The soda was off label and described by my boyfriend as “tasting like a postage stamp,” but he said the beer was good.
We had a fantastic time at this hotel! First of all, the staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. A special shoutout to the lovely lady working in the restaurant who was so sweet with our child, our little one adored her. One of the chefs also stood out for always wearing a warm smile and being incredibly polite. The rest of the team was equally amazing and truly made our stay special. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes every day, so there was always something new to try. The hotel also offered daily and evening entertainment programs, which meant we never felt the need to leave the resort. Our child LOVED mini disco, we were sad it was on the program only every other night ? But I think that was the highlight of her stay! The hotel beach was nice, though not the most convenient for us with a 1.5-year-old. Instead, we went to a nearby beach just a few minutes’ walk away, which turned out to be perfect. We mostly used the pools, and they were all fantastic, clean, well-maintained, and enjoyable for both adults and kids.Rooms were cleaned daily! We got very spacious room that actually contained out of 2 rooms. The view from the balcony will be missed! There are also a few bars in the hotel - all great! Food is available at all times, either in the restaurant or in snack bars.
The only thing that can be improved is Wifi - we didn’t need it, but I guess for some people relaying on it, might be important.
Stress and worry free, affordable family vacation. We preferred Crete thus year because prices of similar 4 star all inclusive resorts in Turkey have sky-rocketed. Beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters, plus two well maintained swimming pools. Our family suite room was spacious with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean with full sunrise glimpses.
Some of the guests were not respectful as they would claim a sunbed early in the morning by putting a towel on and not coming until after lunch. Hotel management didn't seem to care. Food selection in the restaurant was not very diverse, and it didn't include as many local delicacies as we had hoped.
I recently stayed at Peninsula Resort and Spa uin Crete and, unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the high ratings I had seen beforehand. The view was absolutely stunning — that’s definitely the highlight — and the reception area and exterior looked great at first glance. However, once we entered the room, the experience went downhill. The towels were old, heavily worn, stained, and grey instead of white — a very unpleasant first impression. There were no mosquito nets, even though there were quite a lot of mosquitoes, so we had to buy our own repellents. While the room was clean, the hotel itself is clearly old and in need of renovation. In the bathroom, the sink and tiles were chipped, and the door was damaged. The biggest disappointment, though, was the food. We had the all-inclusive package, but the quality was very poor. Meals lacked variety, and even the fruits were often bruised or close to spoiled. The plates and glasses weren’t always properly cleaned — we found dried food on dishes and pulp from someone else's orange juice still stuck in some glasses. Although there were plenty of salads and vegetables, the main dishes were limited and repeated from one day to another. After two or three days, we gave up eating at the hotel altogether and chose to dine in local tavernas instead. That being said, I have to mention some positives: housekeeping was done daily, the pools were very clean and well-maintained, and the staff was always friendly and helpful, which made a difference in the overall experience. In the end, the location is beautiful and the views are truly impressive, but the hotel needs serious improvements in terms of maintenance and food quality to match the expectations set by its online ratings.
Staff were lovely
The bathrooms had sewer problems with bugs every morning at the showers.
Clean, magnificent views, wonderful staff, amazing food . We liked everything x
The stay was quite nice overall. The hotel has a spacious area with beautiful beaches nearby, and it’s pleasant to walk around. The food and drinks were tasty, and it’s a good place both for a calm family holiday and for spending time with friends.
One major issue during our stay was the unpleasant smell of sewage in our room and sometimes around the hotel grounds. The smell in the room was especially strong — after being away for just 2–3 hours, we would return to find the odor had built up again. We had to open the balcony door and turn on the air conditioning immediately to make the room bearable, which affected our comfort and overall impression.
I like the location, food, staff and facilities.
The entertainment was mediocre. I feel Karoke should occur during the week and not on a Saturday night.
My partner and I stayed at Peninsula Resort & Spa for three nights to celebrate our 5-year anniversary — also his first trip abroad — and it truly exceeded our expectations. We arrived early and, after a short wait, were welcomed with an early check-in and a beautiful surprise: an upgrade to a private pool room decorated with rose petals. It was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay feel extra special. The hotel is large and beautifully designed, with stunning views from almost every corner. It was very clean in all areas — rooms, shared spaces, and restaurants — and we found the maps and signage really helpful to navigate the grounds. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, we couldn’t enjoy the private pool, but sitting on our porch and admiring the breathtaking view more than made up for it.The food was a highlight — a large variety of Greek and international dishes, always fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. I never missed a meal! The open bars had a wide selection of drinks and cocktails, which we enjoyed, even if nothing particularly stood out.We also visited the spa, and my partner loved his massage. Sadly, it was fully booked afterward (probably due to the rainy weather), so we couldn’t enjoy more treatments. The laundry service was a bit pricey but very professional and helpful. We used the hotel shuttle to Heraklion one day for a shopping trip — just €4 each way, about an hour ride with lovely views. The beaches at the resort were gorgeous, even under cloudy skies. While we didn’t take part in hotel activities, we appreciated the range of options available. We think the resort is a great fit for all types of travelers — couples, families, and groups. As a couple, we especially enjoyed the romantic atmosphere.Check-out was simple, and getting to the airport from Heraklion was easy.Overall, it was a wonderful stay. We felt welcomed, well taken care
we came at the end of April, The weather was a bit of a bomer.Did wish the room pools were heated.
Nice place to stay - beautiful location! Cons - It felt a little sterile or institutional, lacked a friendly or community touch. For the price, it was reasonable - but be aware that the food and drinks were good, but nothing more. The drinks were made from a dispenser machine and not very good; we gave up after two. The assurance that gluten-free food is available fell short. I did as instructed in the reservation, which was to report to the front desk the request. They seemed surprised and disinterested that I was telling them. The food was marked for some meals (and only the hot dishes), not for others. There were little to no deserts in the numerous offerings (jello one night, and strawberry mousse other times), and their “snack bar” consisted of 2 gluten bread options in a bread basket - - not sure I’d call it a snack bar. I missed breakfast one morning and there was nothing I could eat at the bar (had to request, which appeared to be a big hassle - though the bartender kindly tried to track something down). The upsides: great albeit isolated location, a walkable beach access, clean rooms and good cleaning service. They have 2 separate and very nice pool areas, one an ocean pool. We also appreciated that we weren’t pressured to tip the staff (though we certainly did! But it was bc we wanted to, not from pressure). I think if food in general is not a priority, this is a nice facility. Recommend a rental car if desiring to go beyond the facility. Lastly, the front desk kindly contacted me to notify me I had left something behind.
All inclusive so it made it easy to just stay on resort and enjoy
Further away from the shopping and remote. Need a car rental if u want to go anywhere
