Pros +

  • This is a very large and busy camping with live music every night. The Sunflower tents are located somewhat in the back, a more quieter area on plateaus of different height. From the tent you have view of other tents. The tents are located quite close to each other with little space between. The Sunflower staff is very helpful and kind. The camping has lots of facilities and a nice beach, with little shade, and pools with no shade. In the immediate area there are several nice villages, fisher towns and lots of supermarkets. When you drive a little more inland, you discover beautiful nature and nice small villages, less touristic.
  • Nice tent, foreseen of all facilities ( airco + ventilator were a nice plus because the tent can become very hot) Camping was nice, store and bar a bit pricey. Toilet facilities were limited for the amount of people but very clean.
  • The staff were really helpful and nothing was a problem. The zip on our tent broke and it was rectified really quickly.Great location and everything you need for camping. We only stayed 2 nights but wish we had stayed for longer. The location is great and the tourist train into Novigrad is a great addition. I would recommend.

Cons -

  • For us it's a little too large and busy. We prefer the more quieter and more beautiful beaches in Dalmatië.
  • Hilly entrance( not ideal for a child carrier), our tent was located next to a public road, so a bit noice from there during the night.
  • The shop is very very expensive...drive the 5 minutes into Novigrad and avoid the shop on site.

The deluxe tent was very comfortable, the place was clean and well-maintained. Shared bathrooms are cleaned multiple times a day and I always managed to find them "just cleaned" therefore no issues. Even if chilly, we had the heater inside the tent which was a lifesaver. Moreover, the tent was quite nice and comfy, almost like a "glamping". Barbecue spots are available for free. The sea is perfect, you can see the stars at night, what else do you need?

The only issue was the toilet, the deluxe tent has a shower and a sink (with hot water), but for the toilet, you need to use the shared ones in some locations. That means that in the middle of the night if you want to pee you'll have to have a 3/5min walk depending on your tent position. But I believe there's no solution to it, as it would be difficult to have chemical toilets in each tent. Anyways the shared toilets were always clean, well maintained and with lights.

There was everything we needed. It was clean and the owner is so helpful and friendly. We would come again just for his hospitality.

It rained the whole time we was there. So I would recommend pre planning alternative things to do as the parks activities were mainly closed. Which is not sunflower camping’s fault I need to add

The beach so close, the sunsets, the kitchen and beds

No toilette , so crowded. But thats not sunflowers camping fault of course.

Shops and restaurants, beach and pools at walking distance, Clean campsite with all the necessities. The tent is well equipped, clean and handy.

Wifi did not work. Bedsheets did not fit and pillows were not comfortable. There was loud music from the camping every night untill very late. The tents don't have a toilet and require a walk to the community restrooms.

The accomodation was very nice and clean. Also personal was very helpful. There were everything what we need for one night stay. The camp is very nice a lot of restaurants around. The sea and swimming pool was very close to accomodation.

Everything was ok. Toilets could be closer.

The tent was really nice and clean and surprisingly, the temperature inside was just right. A bit far from the beach, though, but still, the walk to the beach was not that bad.

6SebastienPosted on: 8-26-2022

The proximity of the sea and one quite pleasant restaurant.Pools are quite nice (despite paying sun chairs).

Basic tent confort that could be enhanced. We had a very bad experience on the 2nd evening with a large party organised by one of our neighbours.Loud music and talk till 2 am despite several complaints at the reception. The campsite management recognized during our next day exchanges that it has not been well handled and apologized for this.We hope it was bad luck for us and that this situation will not occur again.

We had a nice time. Stay was overall good.

Sunflower camping is located at the boarder of Aminess Maravea Camping Resort. Toilets and other facilities are to be used on the camping, and quite far.

9AndrewPosted on: 8-7-2022

good setup and good relaxing

each tent should have its own grill and also should have a sponge or towel to be able to clean dishes.

10ChristianPosted on: 8-2-2022

The glamming tent was really nice. The camping ground had many pools, access to the ocean and the owner/manager of sunflower was really friendly

We visited sunflower in the middle of the summer and the first few days it was very hot inside the tent

Exceptional

not so many toilets for men

9MichaelaPosted on: 8-6-2022

Absolutely perfect glamping experience. They have thought of everything! And the owner was super nice.

WiFi was working very sporadically…

It was nice, but it can always be better. Dog beach did not meet my expectation.
