- If you’re hesitating about booking this hotel, don’t waste any more time, it’s absolutely worth it, especially for families. I usually always find something to comment on, but honestly everything was great. From the room equipment and cleanliness to the kids’ playground facilities, the swimming pool, the food, and the staff, there was nothing to complain about. Excellent value for money, especially nowadays. I definitely recommend it and will come back soon! A special mention to Mr. Mario for his kindness and professionalism during the checkout.
- We stay at Aminess Vival Maestral Hotel every year in mid-November and still enjoy many things about it, which is why we keep coming back. The location is great, the atmosphere is familiar, and the staff is generally kind and helpful.
- Staff very polite and helpful, room (junior suite) big and clean, breakfast really good, lots of choice, dinner good but a bit heavy, beach nice, pebbly, beach beds comfy.. All you really need for a relaxing holidays. Novigrad is a very pretty town.
Cons -
- We’ve noticed a gradual decline in quality over the years. Some maintenance details were off during this stay — the shower and toilet flush tank didn’t work properly, and the daily tea/coffee in the kitchenette wasn’t refilled as before. Small issues, but noticeable when they repeat. We also felt that the food quality in the restaurant has gone down. The selection and taste used to feel richer and more refined, while now everything feels more basic and of lower quality. The biggest issue, though, was a private event held in the hotel. Guests were entering the yard, and the noise echoed until around 2 AM, making it hard to get proper rest.Overall, we still like the hotel, but it feels like the Aminess group is expanding too fast and losing focus on individual properties like this one. With more attention to maintenance, food quality, and guest comfort, this hotel could easily return to the excellent level it had in the past.
- Too much noise, from beach bars, evening events, bands at every corner, poor sound. Maybe we are just too old. A bit pricey, beer, etc. over the top expensive.
- In the evening it was pretty loud and overcrowded at the dinner. The same at the pool. The view over the see was pretty inexistent from our room, the balcony is the smallest I have ever seen in such a hotel at the seaside. . We had a problem with water pouring from the ceiling during one night because of heavy rain, but the manager was very friendly to find a solution. The pool has to be cleaned, the walls are turning brownish and there is mold on the decorative rock in the pool. I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to get that rock out of the pool.

It was overall a good stay at Aminess Maestral. The staff was most of the time very friendly, the food was good. The room is very nice decorated, but pretty small for a family. There are plenty of activities for children, which we really enjoyed.

The property is located right by the sea with shallow, rocky waters—we recommend bringing water shoes for safety and comfort. There's a lifeguard on duty, making it very family-friendly for children. All water activities are conveniently located nearby. While I can't speak for other guests' experiences, we were provided with a beach chair voucher that gave us complimentary access to two chairs and towels for our entire stay.
The air conditioning in our initial room didn't work properly—it never went below 25 degrees. Since the room didn't have a balcony and the AC vent was positioned far from the bed, we had a very uncomfortable first night. However, after we complained to the front desk, the staff moved us to another room with a balcony where the AC vent was located right next to the bed and worked much better.
Comfy Bed, all kinds of food, even for breakfast, view amazing, very friendly stuff, evening bar with live music and great gin tonic.

The food is amazing and there is a lot of choise. The staff is really friendly and the outside of the hotel is perfect for family time. If the weather is bad, the pool and indoor playground is also a big plus. This was out second time visiting and we will be back.
Staff was very friendly and nice, especially in SPA. Food was good, also the hotel quality in general was solid. Nice price-performance relation.
It was very hot in the room, I could not change anything in the air-conditioning, so I had to turn it off. Also, the water in the indoor pool was quite cold (it was supposed to be heated), but it was quite cold.
The staff is very friendly. Location is perfect. Very nice path for a walk to the city. Hotel is nice and comfortable.Thing that bothered us the most was that there were too many people in the dining area first night. Two hours seems a bit short period for that many people. Also, we would have like to have dinner sooner. Food that night was also nothing special. But the second night there was less people and it was more “breathable”. Food choices were also better. Otherwise nice stay.
Nice, but small room, great activities for kids, great paths for walks, food was amazing.
Long line at the check out.
Food was amazing, I like pool. They give me better rome that we booked. Staff are nice
Fitness, food, location, room view.
To check out at 10h am.
The food was amaizing! I have never had such good food at any hotel! The whole place was nice, kids play-room was very good and the location is great.
The room was small.. but with a nice view ?
Friendly staff, excellent food choices for breakfast and dinner, nice pool area and sauna, very good location, nice walk to the center of Novigrad, very nice kids playroom

Clean and well equipped hotel complex with fantastic service. Breakfast was nice with plenty of fruit. In general the quality of food and drinks were above my expectation. Parking slots in shadow with price only 3 Eur/day is nice benefit.
Room was ok for 2. 3 people might be difficult.
Everything but the comments below
Pricing of drinks and some items from the menu. Water which you need to go to the beach with a child is 12x more than store-bought, soft drinks which or anything but tap water about 6x more. This is just a few examples but the value for money decreases rapidly even though the room is fairly pricey already.
Our Highlights were definitely the great and friendly staff , the mini club and the food.
Big issue was very loud music till midnight on the beach bar which you can hear in the room as if they would play on your balcony. Another disappointment was that you have to pay extra for any beverages during the dinner buffet including water ! Those were things we weren't aware of at the time of hotel booking.
The location of the hotel and its standard are very positive. Kids club very big and very attractive. The pool inside the hotel as well as outside is fine. Food super. The room also has all the necessary amenities
Breakfast should in our opinion be until 11:00 or at least until 10:30. People from outside the hotel who occupy sunbeds and umbrellas (with a large number of guests in the hotel) should not be allowed on the beach of the hotel. Parking lots should be marked with parking numbers and a parking space should be assigned to the car for the entire stay. With a large number of guests, there were no parking spaces, which resulted in cars parking on lawns / under trees. When cleaning the rooms there was no exact tea/coffee during the stay. With the option of HB board for dinner, all drinks were paid, which with a large amount of stay for us, water should not be counted additionally.
Big hotel with really professional and friendly staff (speaking English well & even German), huge delicious breakfast and evening buffet, plenty of possible activities, and overall great location. Fantastic as a family with kids. We really appreciated the children’s indoor play area, the indoor and outdoor pool, minigolf, and the small tourist train to Novigrad center. Our son did not want to leave. :-)
The size of the room (and bathroom) was a bit challenging for us; this was too small for 2 grownups and a kid. Also the airconditioning was not very powerful and never got the room temperature below 24 degrees Celsius. During the night it would have been nice to open the windows, but we didn’t dare as there were no insect panes. If you have food allergies or intolerances, be careful at the buffet - for every meal, allergens are listed, but I noticed that several times these were not correct/complete. The staff was incredibly kind though and always answered my extra questions; they even prepared a custom portion of gluten-free pasta upon request. Also there was enough to choose from so that I could always find something to eat.
Good location, nice view from the balcony. Big parking place.
