Hotel Hochsauerland 2010

The location is great for a short winter holiday. It's walking distance to a Ski Piste and many restaurants; I would recommend though eating at their restaurant which offers well-prepared food. Needless to say, the buffet breakfast is also very good. The staff are very friendly and honest, especially Mr. Gurini. While the hotel is a bit outdated in style, it's well-maintained and very clean. The sis is great as well as the billiards, table tennis, etc. The room itself is comfy enough for our family of three. We're very happy all-in-all and would come back again.

Locations was good

Rooms had almost no acoustic isolation, we could hear everything that happened in the hallway or other rooms, it was hard to sleep with the noises.

I stayed at the hotel during the ski jumping weekend. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the location is great. I wish I had the opportunity to use the sauna and jacuzzi but my own schedule was too busy - next time!

The breakfast buffet was mostly good, the staff was friendly, the sauna was wonderful, the swimming pool was pretty cool. THERE IS A BUTTER VENDING MACHINE at the buffet ya'll.

The dinner buffet selection was pretty small, because I don't eat fish. It was quite expensive. The balcony didn't have an ashtray.

The location, the wellness oasis: spa, saunas & swimming pool! The rooms are very clean. Breakfast buffet was really superb too.

Lunch and dinner buffets are mostly salads or soup with no proper main course dishes. Unfortunately also 1 vegetarian option but no vegan options like simple pasta with tomato sauce. A’la carte might be a good idea with simple things on it like grilled veggies with roast potatoes etc… So with buffet lunch and dinner was kind of disappointed.

Generally a very good hotel for the price and location. The breakfast buffet selection was very good. The spa area was excellent with a large pool area.

Unfortunately I got food poisoning. All I had the day before was the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. The dinner buffet has a decent selection and value for money. Although the hotel does all day buffet and by the taste of the meat, it has been kept warm all day. I was very ill as a result. It's a shame because otherwise it's the stay was very pleasant. And don't expect for staff to speak English, they do try. Thankfully there was one at reception who did. No other instruction around spa was in English but it's appropriate for its location.

Beautiful environment for hiking.

The promised big twin bed turned out to be two small single beds. Cleaning was not spotless.

Rooms are clean but bit small and old fashion.

Good value for money however they charged me twice, once through Booking.com and once at the check out. It took me a few days and several phone calls to fix it, so overall I wasn’t amused.

Food is simply awesome. We are the vegetarian guest and chef took extra care for us to cook specially for us. Buffet here was good and the Menu was awesome. staff is extremely friendly in the Restaurant especially with kids. Very proffessional and elegant. After Radisson, this is our next best hotel.

Room cleaning was not done properly in our absence but overall it was very good.

Food was great, we ate breakfast, lunch and had the buffet dinner. Staff were super friendly. Spa area was v impressive.

Dreadful spoilt our little break!

Rude Staff who did not speak English and just pointed abruptly to entry form!They then attempted to squeeze us into a single room and insisted it was a double. It was quite obvious that it was a single room. One glass, pillow, one quilt! I had to contact Booking.com to resolve the issue. Room was changed; however, spoilt break away!

Close to the city centrum.

The bathroom in the room smelled of sewage all the time.

Breakfast was very good.

More power points in room.
