Pros +
- Beautiful place and great location. Staff very helpful and nice. Food outstanding. Close to all hiking in San Cassiano. Special shoutout to main dining room staff.
- Wine room dinner was excellent, staff are friendly, bar is excellent, room comfortable and slippers are a cozy touch.
- Location great for hiking. Fabulous food. Great staff.
Cons -
- Hot tub not hot enough. Food and service in main dining room far better than Michelin restaurant downstairs.
- Food can be a little pricey, but understandable given the location. It's probably a better dining choice than anything in the nearby town. Also, in the height of summer, it can get warm as there is no AC. It take a while for the rooms to cool down
- Nothing to dislike

Location great for hiking. Fabulous food. Great staff.
Brilliant pool and spa . Fabulous breakfast . Wonderful staff
The spa facilities, dining, and parking were excellent! The front desk gave us some great recommendations for hikes nearby that we might have otherwise missed. The shuttle will drive you into San Cassiano or other trailheads. Rooms were very comfy and spacious.

Ciasa Salares was exactly like the reviews. Beautiful facilities and breakfast. The highlight was our wine/ cheese tasting at Cocun Cellars with Clems and Rebecca who were fabulous and knowledgeable. Make sure to visit the chocolate room after dinner as well.
Everything about this hotel was amazing- the location, the comfort of the room, the food (half board was effectively 5 courses of beautifully prepared and presented quality food). But the staff are its greatest asset- lots of smiles, help with walking routes and a shuttle to near by town.
Nothing to dislike
From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. It was the warmest welcome we’ve received our entire two weeks across Italy. The food, the wine, the cocktails are incredible. The cleaning service takes pride in their work and made sure we had everything we needed in our rooms. We honestly wished we could stay much longer than 3 nights!
5th visit to ski for a week - the staff are the best and the food sublime. Thank you to Domenico, Antonio and the entire team for making this another special week. Love this place.
The hospitality here was top notch! Everyone was so nice as soon as we walked in. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Our room had a balcony which was so relaxing. The kids had a room with a beautiful view of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious and the amenities were great as well. They had a shuttle to take us into San Cassiano and back, which was super convenient. Additionally they gave us each a bus pass to travel through the Alta Badia region. Would definitely stay here again!
Nothing! It was perfect!
Everything! The staff was friendly,, professional and helpful!!! The property is soBeautiful and the relaxation amenities were so relaxing at the end of the day after a long hike. The food was amazing/special!!!
We loved everything!
- Room was very good, large, clean, quite. - The staff in the reception very kind and helpful!- The food in breakfast & restaurant delicious. Congrats to the chef & team.
- I had an issue with the restaurant, the dessert was "buffet" which -in the whole hotel world- means that I can take a second dessert if I want to. No, they charged me 10 eur me because I took a second dessert and when I asked them why they told me "it's up to 1 dish". The were staring at you, counting the pieces you put. WEIRD. Obviously it was not about the money, it was about the attitude. Anyway, the kind woman in the reception deleted this charge during the checkout.
Incredible Location, Terrfic Staff, amazing design, and a very nice breakfast
I liked everything, I wish I bookd more nights
Awesome setting. Lovely room and facilities were great after a long day hiking. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
This is an exceptional hotel, the room we had with a view of the dolomites was very impressive. the room was large and clean with fruit and sweets in our room on arrival. The staff were all very friendly and informative and we were provided with a free bus pass to look around the area (the bus stop was just outside the hotel). Ample parking was available. The part that made this hotel so exceptional was the level of service and the quality of food in the restaurant/breakfast room. We are not experienced hikers so the ski lift near the hotel was useful to take you up to easy walks in the Dolomites with fantastic views in every direction of the mountains and the flower meadows. We were even given water for the journey when we left.
Absolutely nothing.
Amazing breakfast, solid price quality dinner, very friendly staff with good recommendations of activities to do in the area. Wine cellar one can only dream off, fantastic.
The staff are a truly amazing group! They are attentive to any need or desire. The Ciasa Salares is the perfect mountain escape with an incredibly beautiful view. The food and drink at all of the dining options is top notch. I was sad to leave, but we are looking forward to our next visit.
We LOVED Ciasa Salares! The staff is fantastic (more on this below). The property is beautiful and so well maintained with such great care. Our room was really nice (and the view!) and it was so nice to sleep with the door and window open with the cool, fresh air. Our breakfast each morning was phenomenal (so many delicious choices), we loved our happy hour routine each day, and we had two great dinners at the hotel (one in main dining, one in the wine cellar.....what a special experience, complete with cheese and chocolate rooms). We also loved our afternoon spa experience (circuit) each day after hiking....multiple different types of saunas, natural hot tub, etc. All this said, it was the staff that made our overall experience a 10+. Every single person was delightful. Their service, whether at breakfast, happy hour, dinner, housekeeping, front desk was truly 5-star. Speaking of front desk staff, not only did they make us feel at home, but their hiking recommendations were perfect. Of all the places we could have stayed in the Dolomites, we could not have been more fortunate than to discover Ciasa Salares!
Breakfast was amazing - fresh fruit, eggs any style, crepes - everything you can imagine. great coffee/expresso
Place, views, breakfast, spa
This time the outside fareplace did not worked. Very high prices. No iron and iron table in the room which is absolutely inconvenient.
