Pros +
- Spacious rooms, great breakfast and restaurant.
- Location is both the good and bad. The surroundings are very picturesque and nice and you can ski in and out to the hotel - however it is also the problem - check on the bad staff. Otherwise the hotel is good. Room was clean. Dinner in the restaurant was ok and nicely served and you can order half-board (one day in advance). We took the sauna and it was good. Breakfast was fulfilling and well packed - they had good choice of food. The only thing - they may need is to service the coffee machine though (don't make latte there - I got some crunches from dry milk in it). If you go on skiing for several days it is a great place that you may consider.
- We ended up at this hotel after a nightmare experience at another place we had to leave at dawn. This was truly our safe haven! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Our room was massive, with plenty of storage, a spotless bathroom, and an amazing view of the mountains. Plus, it was super pet-friendly - our dog could be with us everywhere we went, and no charge applied! It really felt like a breath of fresh air after a rough start to our trip! Highly recommend!
Cons -
- I hate low scores, but there is something I don't like even more - that is to be ripped off. We were looking for one day trip to winter and I looked for the hotel with parking - that is exactly as mentioned in the description - it mentions there is 5 euro parking per day. One day before the booking they sent the notice that this is only for summer and on winter the arrangement is totally different - I even thought of cancelling - but the booking was not refundable. So first - you have to park on a paid parking, which cost 10 euro per day. After that you have to order mandatory snowtrax taxi to the hotel that cost additional 25 euro one way for a 5 minute ride (1km). And the cherry on the cake was that parking charges you per each light day - so for one night stay we had to pay for two days. For one night that would put you into 25+25+10+10=70!!! euro in "parking" fees. And this presumably you only go in and out once. I would definitely want to know this BEFORE I book a hotel. Something like this may not stop me if I was going for a week of ski, but in this case I would have preferred another option.
- I really can’t think of anything!
- Transportation from nearest village + car parking there will cost you additional money (up to 30% if the trip is short). I'm not saying it should be for "free though :)

I really can’t think of anything!
Very nice staff, gret view from balcony, clean room, good breakfast.
The hotel is in perfect location, close to the hiking trail and still not far from the city, rooms are new, breakfast served every morning from 8 till 9 - great selection, everyting was perfect , looking forward to visit Obzor again
Breakfast is pretty good, you can also order some type of eggs (included in the price). Location is perfect for skiing (ski-in/ski-out), restaurant is inside the hotel with decent food and not expensive, rooms are clean and warm, good beds and facilities for kids.
Transportation from nearest village + car parking there will cost you additional money (up to 30% if the trip is short). I'm not saying it should be for "free though :)
Great location just by the pist.
The transport to/from the hotel shall be included in the room price - this additional cost is surprising!
I recommend this hotel, very friendly people, great quality of the food and large selection at breakfast, the interior is fresh after the renovation.
Great restaurant, nice clean and modern.
It was a bit far from the bus stop and quite high up. If you come by bus prepare for a good hike.
Everything perfect. Spacious and nice rooms, friendly people, great food. And dog-friendly :)We will definately return!
Nothing. It was great.
The hotel has a restaurant with a terrace, great for dinner. We had a very comfortable room with private sauna which can be switched on at additional price.
The hotel is located on top of a hill, a bit out of main town’s facilities, can be difficult to reach in winter season
Best service ever! Highly recommended! Outstanding stayl! Easy check in and check out. Comfortable and clean rooms, afortable prices, you wont be dissapointed. Hope I will come back some day!
None!
-great location directly by the ski slope,- the rooms are clean, refurnished, spacious- tasty breakfast, gray choice of pastries, pancakes (omelette and scrambled eggs for extra fee)- the parking place is located near the center of Pec, transport is provided by the hotel staff for extra fee 650 CZK ( 25 EUR) for single ride- the a’ la carte menu for dinner was fine, good selection of wines- staff was helpful and nice
the only thing we were dealing with was missing hair dryer in the bathroom, but was available to rent at the reception
fantastic staff, always smiling and nothing ever was a problem. nice restaurant and quick and easy transfer to the car park.
no complaints
- very quiet- large room- clean- guys from the bar who also apparently work at the reception
- location (arrived during evening and everything was really dark)- poor signage (didn't know where to park) - issue with lack of hot water (ruined our evening) - smell of a dog in whole hotel- breakfast (cold and dry pancakes, cold and soaked toasts) - being charged more than booked for (apparently hotel set their own exchange rate and charge your more than it was in the original booking)-lack of kettle in the room or common area
The hotel itself is situated amongst the nature. The room has really nice view.Very clean.Rich breakfast.Friendly staff.Nice restaurant with beautiful summer terrace.
The road to the hotel is in terrible condition.Literally there is no asphalt and many big holes.Luckily,we didn't have to share bathroom, however the rooms are built to share bathroom and toilet between two double rooms. The property currency is in euro, however you have to pay in czech crowns and the hotel exchange rate is a bit of rip off.
Fabulous location. Great restaurant with variety of national cuisine. Clean and very spacious room. Fantastic stuff. I’d truly recommend the hotel Obroz! Can not wait to visit this place in the winter time.
Personel was very helpful and nice. Food was delicious. Hotel has a potential but still needs to work out some stuff;)
First: Room was supposed to be one big room. Instead we got 2 adjoining rooms - when travellong with small child it's a problem, because he wont stay alone in a room. Second: Restaurant was not working on one day in a dinner time, which was not announced ahead.
Comfortable room, breakfast, location, quietness
The hotel is situated on the mountain literally. We were there in May, so it was accessible by car but not a lot of parking spaces. As the hotel was almost empty it was ok. Breakfast was good and as in hotels normally, just was served more personally. The hotel was quiet and with open windows, you can hear all the birds singing in the forest. If you are up to it you can hike to the top of the skiing mountain and there is a lookout tower for nicer views.
Some rooms do not have a mountain view. Our room had a tiled floor that was cold with bare feet but should be fine in the wintertime.
