Gran Hotel Las Fuentes

Hotel seemed modern and clean and had some nice areas - specifically the games room was a real bonus for the kids. The pools were very nice, but cold. Spa was very nice!

The main pool closed for 2 hours every afternoon whilst the lifeguard went on a break. surely they could have two? the gym was very small and didn't have any exercise mats, just a couple of machines and free weights. Breakfast was very limited.

The hotel was very generous offering chocolate and champagne. The beds were very comfortable, the staff very friendly. The hotel is exactly at the beach and the pools are creating a lovely view. The staff at the bar really know to make good cocktails.

Some machines in the playing area were not working.

The size of the room. Confy bed and pillows.

When we arrived found a towel outside the our room 335. We report to the reception desk, but nobody do nothing.That towel spent all night there because when we went to breakfast the towel continued there.

Internet was very bad doesn’t work properly. I was on 4 floor and in 4 days i have to go down in the lobby to use it ???.The staff could be more friendly

The property itself is nicely renovated and clean, and is located just stones from the beach.

The customer service is very poor, mostly because they’re very understaffed for such a large hotel:1. You need to take a number to then be attended at reception (as if you were at the butcher in the supermarket). Sometimes the wait was incredibly long.2. The buffet breakfast was terrible. It was the worst quality breakfast I’ve had at a hotel of this style. Plus, it was packed with guests and completely understaffed.3. The line at the bar was always long and the service was slow.4. Trying to get in touch with anyone via phone is nearly impossible. I tried calling for hours one day, prior to arrival, with an inquiry. I never managed to get through. When I expressed my frustration upon arrival, the employee at Reception took no responsibility on behalf of the hotel and blamed the reservations office in Valencia. It felt a bit like a poorly run cruise ship.

What we really like is where the hotel is situated: the sea was just a minute walk. Also, the programs and animation for children were a big highlight.

We had quite a lot of problems with our room: no WLAN within the room, both sinks in the bahtroom were clogged, and then the toilet broke. We would have been happy if they offer us the change the room.

At 4 stars hotel we didn’t had slippers in the room and also towels for the pool area. The food some times is cold enough and no taste.

Breakfast was great and the dinner was even better. Good alue for money and lots of delicious & high quality foods to choose from. Especially at the dinner buffet! Good variety of meats, salads, pizzas, tacos & great desserts!I also liked the infinity pool & the activities they had for my 11yo son.I was glad we chose the hotel and not an apartment instead.

I think it's probably the best hotel in the area but I would not choose to stay here without kids. There were many families with babies and young children. That's why it gets a bit noisy at the breakfast table and by the pool.

Everything about this hotel was pleasing. Checkin was smooth and efficient, the bar and pool areas were clean and well staffed. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with lovely soaps and shampoos.Although the hotel was busy, the room was very quiet at night.The beachfront and access was easy and well maintained and just a short walk to the marina area.WiFi was a little weak but probably due to the volume of users.We were sorry we only had time to stay for one night.

The car parking prices were a little high and there wasn’t much parking on the streets outside.

Location is good, very nice parking, good receptionists. Good animation for kids, especially, mini disco.

Breakfast and dinner are very poorly organised. Always queues, always and everywhere. The quality and variety of food is very-very basic. Uncomfortable pillows in the room.

First impressions of this hotel when you drive through the front gate are very favourable and as soon as you walk through the front doors it just gets better. The gentleman on reception was extremely polite and helpful and although we were too early to book in he gave us security cards to help us get in and out of the hotel and sent us on our way to explore with a promise to call us as soon as the room was ready. There are bars and restaurants throughout the hotel but we chose to walk to a local beach bar around 100 metres away and sat on the sand with a beer and tapas. Sure enough we received our telephone call to say that the room was ready and we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. There is a very nice sea view from the balcony and the bathroom is probably one of the brightest and biggest I've ever seen. Breakfast was a self service buffet in the restaurant but there was plenty of choice and we were certainly not disappointed. When we checked out next morning it was the same gentleman on reception, and even though we had only stayed for one night he gave us a complimentary bottle of water each for our onward journey together with a free sunscreen for the windscreen of our car, a very nice touch and very gratefully received. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The room size was fine for the 2 of us. Did not really take advantage of the pool but did like the set up. The security was also a nice feature!

The breakfast hours were too short, 8:00a - 10:00a, especially after a jet lag trip.

It was ok, but we where there in the end of the season, city was empty and nothing much to do! Hotel was full with old people, it’s ok, but it was wired to be only 30+ people in hotel and also in whole city. Good thing was that they have a washing room and you can wash and dry your clothes for free, it was very useful as we were traveling for a while already.

We had an issue with people smoking on balcony, so our room smelled a lot, but staff was helpful and we resolved this problem.
