The hotel facilities are clean and well-maintained. The wellness area and saunas are beautiful and in excellent condition. Everything looks nice and tidy, and the place itself has potential to offer a relaxing stay.

Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. The food was not tasty, and the menu was very limited. We’ve stayed in many German and Austrian hotels, and this was by far the poorest dining experience — even basic breakfast sausages were missing, and ordering a schnitzel at dinner cost an extra €10 compared to other dishes. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and when we asked to shorten our stay by one night, they refused. The spa pool was too cold and always empty because no one could really enjoy it. The hotel is usually quite empty, and we now understand why — it simply isn’t worth the price. They charge €45 for renting bicycles, while the same costs about €20 in town. Everything feels overpriced, and the service attitude is not welcoming. Overall, we strongly do not recommend staying here; there are much better hotels in the area offering far greater value for money.

Spacious room with two balconies and a lovely lake view. Great indoor pool, saunas, and tasty breakfast. No air conditioning, so with 95°F heat, we had to keep windows open. Our room faced a busy street, making sleep difficult. Quiet rooms face the mountains, but my request for one wasn’t accommodated. If leaving early, arrange in advance as the hotel is locked at night.

Everything was excellent. Breakfast was sumptuous. Dinner was high quality. All food was perfect. Pool was romantic. Room was large with fantastic balcony. Location near lake in the mountains could not be beat. We will definitely return here.

My only disappointment was that Cathryn (the lady of the house) could not flirt with me in English?

Outstanding friendly service in the restaurant, beautiful three course meal to a higher gourmet standard. Restaurant is beautifully decorated in a modern alpine style. Fantastic service. spa is small but nice,Clean, good standard. Nice views of Achensee and mountains.

Reception service not as friendly and helpful as the restaurant. We tried with our German as best we could but from the three different staff there was no word of English which is unusual for a tourist area and in comparison to the restaurant When I asked for an extra pillow for my highly pregnant friend they said there were none which I don’t think is likely as they weren’t fully. It wasn’t bad service by any means- very efficient and the man at the start was quite friendly. The rooms are okay but quite small and not as well decorated in comparison to the restaurant. (Maybe that was just our room and the shape of it- 101)

This was the perfect getaway for a week in the mountains; we loved the close proximity to many of the Achensee attractions (the Erlebnis Card is well worth the money), but it was also easy to spend a day relaxing in the well-appointed spa. What really set this property apart, though, was the fantastic customer service. We received personal support on all of our requests: including adding a few extra touches for a birthday we celebrated while there. And the food each night as part of the half pension (breakfast + dinner) was a highlight we looked forward to each day. If you are visiting this hotel, make sure you choose this half pension rate - it would be hard to summarize well enough how good the food was; suffice it to say that each night provided a different five course fine dining menu - and all directly within the hotel. We loved our stay and will definitely choose this hotel again if visiting the area.

The nice stressless atmosphere, the food in general breakfast and dinner and a surprisely afternoon snacks. The treatment area is super organized and the massages were excellent.The personnel was very good qualified and always looking forward to our wellness.

Despite of all the good service, there was the breakfast waitress who was not greeting to us ever and not so friendly even though the service was good, she was always overpassing our table.

Location, food and facilities were excellent.

1. Pillows were too soft as per personal preference.2. Communication between staff and guests is not clear.
