Pros +

  • Dogs being allowed in the hotel.
  • Great location. Close to the beach and right in the middle of everything one needed. Stores, restaurants, etc. Main avenue right there. Staff was nice. We truly appreciate the staff and their attention. There was a little gym surprisingly in the basement. Pretty new. Board games available, extra tables and lounging area for evening gatherings. Parking nearby for a reasonable fee. Rooms are semi updated. Roll in showers are great. Some with the beloved bidet. Some rooms had even an extra door separating the bathroom hallway closet area from the beds which was nice but didn't help with soundproofing. Sound travels through halls, windows, balconies, walls... must be the way it was built. Overall reasonable rates. How they keep these rates. I would give it a 7.5 rate overall. Higher if the soundproofing was better.
  • Price of the drinks were very reasonable, could always get a sunbed, staff were friendly and helpful, gym was great.

Cons -

  • Facility is a bit old, however still functioning. We were sad to not be able to bring our dog on the poolside.
  • Walls were beyond paper thin. One could hear absolutely everything from room to room and hallways. TVs, chatting, elevator if you were close to it.... For light sleepers, not great. Families and pets welcome, meaning screaming children in the pool, and barking dogs left in the room. That I didn't appreciate. While it's true that there are no barriers for people with reduced mobility, the sidewalk by the entrance was tiny, so it does impede a little bit the ability to maneuver wheel chairs or walkers. Breakfast was plentiful and OK, but always the same. Good pastries and Some fruit to emphasize. There was a lot more than that, yet repeated every single day. Rooms are semi updated as mentioned. Mix of old furniture and new fixings and old flooring. A little more updating would go a long way for the presence of the hotel. Single rooms are very small, but alas European size is you are used to it. Double rooms are more the way to go.
  • Rooms need updating. Pool table needs updating.

In general the hotel is good! The pool was nice, the breakfast was good and they were helpful. Very close to the beach and to the nice clubs/restaurants.

We booked a room that said one queen bed and they gave us one with two single beds, because all the other were booked.

It was really central and our balcony room overlooked the pool, was very quiet and had double doors to keep out all sounds. It was spotlessly clean and staff were really helpful. We booked room only but had breakfast one day - at 8€ per person, it’s good value if you eat a lot as there is a buffet with lots of choice.

The receptionists and the breakfast team have been excellent! Professional and courteous and very helpful. Have asked for a quiet room as we read reviews that the front facing rooms are pretty noisy and we were given a back ,pool facing ,corner room ,excellent choice.

It needs to be modernised, the room key is just an old fashion key so did not feel quite comfortable with this. The furniture in the room is old and space isn’t quite generous for 4 people with luggage, the fact that we stayed 2 weeks, meant that we had to keep clothes in bags as the wardrobe isn’t big enough , the mini fridge was also in the wardrobe taking up space. I would have liked a shelf or two in the bathroom. Breakfast was good but after a week got sick of the same things so maybe a menu change for every other week would be good or variation of few products.

Breakfast was very good and served until 11am, They regularly restocked also. I like hot breakfast food and there wasn't much of that but there was plenty of other stuff and my wife and children loved it. location is good also.It is a 3 star hotel so don't expect higher than that. Staff very nice too.

Nothing really.

The size of the triple room was OK. That room had also decent bathroom, shower, nice balcony, closet. Location was amazing - on the main street. close to everything - beack, good supermarket, restaurants around. Pool was not big, but it was never packed with people, you could always find a place.

1. double joined room had a window to the ventilation shacht. New showergels or shampoos were never added - we stayed for 8 nights. Sangria in the lobby was terrible. It didn't have energy saving features like electronic cards to switch of lights in the whole room at once. Walls were thing so if there was a party or people come in late you could hear. Also you could hear people through that ventilation shacht in the joint double room.

Location is great and breakfast is nice

The staff at reception are absolutely unpleasant (no hello, no thank you. The minimum of words), but the breakfast staff are very nice. The walls of the room are absolutely too thin, so you can hear the neighbors' conversations. Everything about this hotel is old-fashioned, from the key to open the room door (which takes quite a bit of trial to open) to the mattresses on the beds.

The central location of Hotel S'Agoita is probably the best part. Right by the main street, it is easily located to walk around, do some shopping and have dinner. During the day, it is a simple 5 minutes walk to the beach which was the reason we were there. They have a shower by the pool that they let us use after check out, this allowed us to really enjoy our last day and the beach and still get to rinde off before heading to the bus station!

Nothing really! the staff at this hotel were all lovely and accommodating ensuring we had everything we needed

Staff very attentive. Breakfast exceeded expections, fruit, ham, cheese, tuna and excellent coffee.Location right in heart of nightlife and yet only a few minutes from the beach.Would certainly recommend this hotel.

The bar area lacked atmosphere.

Great rocation, clean room, the pool side is quiet always.

They copied the ID card although it's not permitted in Spain. I know it's only fine to write ID number. check it please. And lots of pigeons bathed in the pool...

The location was excellent, so central. There was always a wide range of food supplied at breakfast and it was plentiful.Very friendly and helpful staff.I thought that the cleaning staff did a great job.

I would prefer more fresh fruit at breakfast because I don’t eat meat so this is the main thing I enjoy for breakfast.I think 13 euro per day for parking is excessive.

Great breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, pasteries, cheese and lots of ham +++It wasn’t a luxurious hotel, but very good value for the price we paid. Location was suberp.

10OlgaPosted on: 8-4-2023

We were absolutely delighted with the hotel and even a little bit surprised to have a very spacious room for three people. The location is very good - not more than 5 minutes away from the beach. It is on the main street of Platja d'Aro which makes it a bit noisy at night but not really disturbing. It also had a pool with quite few people.

Nothing to complain about

Perfect place to stay if you are not looking for something fancy. The Hotel was very clean, the staff a 10. We enjoyed the Pool which was also very clean. Our room was with a balcony with view to the Pool. The upgrade was worth it. The breakfast was also great. This is definitely a place to return to. Thank you.

It is a typical 3 star hotel but it is clean, comfortable and they have all your basic needs for your stay. Their location is excellent too! Around 150 meters only from the beach and located along my favorite shops and restaurants. But the main highlight are the hotel staffs! Good, helpful, warm people! I love them!

I like everything!

7PhilipPosted on: 7-10-2023

The location was perfect very strategy and close many things. Breakfast was basic.

This hotel very noisy even though with double glass we still heard properly especially our room front of discotheque very loud so we can’t sleep good.

8HollyPosted on: 6-30-2023

The location was perfect and even though the hotel was located on the main strip, you couldn't hear any noise. The hotel and pool area was clean and staff were very friendly. The reception area and seating are was immaculate and very comfortable.

The breakfast room was ok, slightly dim and dark. I would like to have seen a larger breakfast selection. There were not many food options and found the sausages and bacon small - the continental breakfast was nice.

Location was very central. Very reasonable price. Breakfast was very good for the price. The staff spoke great English and were very helpful.

Nothing I didn't like.
