Breakfast was a la carte and was exceptional. OJ was freshly squeezed. Real Jamon Iberico on a warm bread spread with fresh tomatoes was great. Coffee tasted like coffee.The room and bathroom were big and had a bidet.Parking was ample

There was a column in room 103 on one wall that unless you register it's location it can knock you out cold.

Staff didn’t know anything, some didn’t even know Spanish. Everything could be better. Even de vending machines were not working.

Location was very good right on a smaller cove next to the main beach so not as busy as other areas of the town

The staff were practically excellent throughout. More clearly, practically excellent in all disciplines. A nice touch was the potential to store our bicycles either in one's room or locked luggage area.They have a wristband idea that one can place a credit on to pay for miscellaneous sundries. Very good.Direct access. Front, easy to get to the centre of town. Back, direct to cove beach, and looked secure too.

The parking location, with the exception of tree overhang, is fine. But does cost much - which is typical of the town. Did not particularly like the bar. Sheer weight of numbers in a small and seemingly poor designed space. (The concept of activities is super. Did not try any but have the desire to do so next visit. I feel the location of activities board could be better placed).

The pool and garden area were fabulous really beautiful!

For a 4 star hotel it lacked a lot of amenities in the rooms, like a mini fridge and a kettle also on the walk into the hotel there should be more lighting. Also at the pool area little tables between the sunbed would be great.

Location was very good with easy access to beach and shops / restaurants. . Staff very welcoming and helpful. Food was good, plentiful and good variety. Good outdoor space with plenty of seating areas, nice pool and attractive setting. We would stay here again.

The room and bathroom were basic and require modernising.

The hotel is very old, all facilities are destroyed, the pool is too small for such amount of people, there are no enaugh sun beds, the breakfast is very poor, with a long lines to the entrance ? bed and pillows was terrible, it was my worst experience in ??, also I had a very noisy neighbors, they we’re crying and screaming from morning till night , all hotel needs renovation, in lobby there is not condition, there’s hot , all furniture in hotel , also in lobby is old and dirty ?

1. The lights in the bathroom are not safe to turn on and off. 2. The air conditioner is not clean and has mold. 3. The toilet paper holder is not working. Therefore, I would like to inform you. 4 . The pool is always full. We can't sit or lie down comfortably because everyone has reserved seats. Sometimes, for half a day, no one comes to sit but they put down a cloth to reserve seats. I think my comments will be of some use to the hotel to improve.

Near the beach

Old rooms. It was impossible to get a bedsun because people left towels there all day without being in pool and nobody at hotel took care of that. When we wanted to order bottle of water at buffet restaurant, waiters never knew what to do. Always gave us a hard time saying we couldnt order it, then manager came and all was ok. Left phone charger in room and told us it wasnt there. Wrote hotel about it and they never answered us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. There was a great variety of food. A special thanks to receptionist Alena, who assisted us with all the necessary arrangements during our stay.

It is a beautiful hotel with great location with nice pool area and right next to the beach. Breakfast and dinner was tasty, not boring for a 1 week stay. Although I did not travel with small kids, I noticed that very colorful programs were provided for kids by the animators. Hotel was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay (iron, hair dryer, scale to measure our suitcases, etc), and hotel staff was polite and helpful. I have noticed that unlike other hotels, the number of hotel staff was available, so guest could get a great service. The hotel room and bathroom size was big enough for our staffs, daily cleaning was accurate.

The bathroom is a bit outdated, but as it was kept clean, it did not have any negative affect on our stay.

The location is one of the best you can find.The proximity to the beach within its own "caleta", the swimming pool and the restaurant make it a quite precious and unforgettable experience.They also fixed the elevators, that was one of the points I mentioned last year.

Our experience has been worse than last year - no Birthday message in the room like last year (customer loyalty?), no effort to give us a quiet room.The worst aspect is the obvious target of the Hotel and the absolute lack of effort to make the experience enjoyable for all types of guests.The Hotel obviously needs refurbishment, but if a bit of decency and rules were applied, then you wouldn't be disturbed by the other guests. The rooms have many defects and damaged elements, and that's because the trend is for the Hotel to welcome numerous families with lots of children and zero rules - so you will hear children running around the Hotel and in the corridors at 6 in the morning or until 1AM in the night - there are lots of rude guests, shouting like they were alone at home and slamming everything from doors, to windows and with a heavy walk that reverbarates across the structure because it's all reinforced concrete.While you would have otherwise a great experience, the lack of possibility for a nice rest and a good sleep in your room, makes the whole experience worse.I want also to mention what other said in other review and I can confirm - while last year the swimming pool was opening at 9AM, this year it was open already from 8AM and lots of guests are using the Hotel's towels to occupy the sunbeds, sometimes for hours without even showing up - I took pictures on purpose so you can see the nice practice. The "socorrista" (life guard) is just a young guy who is too shy to tell the guests anything to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.All in all, there needs to be more control by the Hotel staff to ensure all the guests have a nice experience without the limitations imposed by other rude guests or the Hotel will suffer more and more damages and the overall rating will go down... if it goes down this road, I am not sure I will be able to visit again, and that's a pity.

We found it easily and as we arrived at 14:00 there was available parking at the hotel (or around it) and the check-in went smoothly. The receptionists were very nice and helpful, with a good vibe between them and good manners. All of them understood many languages and were patient too.The staff at the night bar were cheerful and attentive, (though busy with many orders), yet still functioned gracefully and patiently. The staff at the restaurant were fast and kind , and allthough very busy throughout all day, still let us eat 30 minutes over th the closing time theThe art in the hotel is absolutely fantastic! You are greeted inside with a beautiful carved olive tree, an abstract insane statue ! The place feels authentically designed for families , old-school style, with beautiful paintings along the hallways everywhere. The paintings are also enforced with high resolution prints of photos from Costa brava beaches.. which later on you explore nearby. And other cool stuff.It feels like a really nice art gallery hotel, with a wide and spiral stairway. I thought the architect of this building designed it to make you flow directly into the sea :)) or pool with great view!!Even the floor tiles were esthetic in a very nice way.Classic hotelIt felt like the hotel had a lot of experience, yet well maintained throughout time, and managed. The room was basic, yet spacious and with an AMAZING view of the beach from the terrace and sofabed! beautiful picture of Costa Brava in the room. pleasant lighting. ( bath area was nice too) mattresses were comfortable and clean .Best of all, key to the great experience is the seamless connection with the beach.. and, obviously the gravel-pebble Beach itself, that has "magic fun stone-sand" that doesn't stick to your body and leaves you clean.. real real treat!!!The route connecting all the nearby cove beaches is great!! Nature and old architecture combined. It's great for 1 night!

The food in the restaurant could improve, though it felt the staff was working hard and doing efforts .The restaurant closes at 14:30 at lunch..Would be nice if they put a hanger on the terrace (for the wet towels.) Ann

An older hotel, but well kept. Very clean throughout, including the bedrooms. The pool area and beach access are great. Amazing view out to the sea. The sound of the waves was very relaxing and a constant. Outside the hotel is everything you need in terms of restaurants, bars, and shopping.

The bedrooms are very basic. For the price, they could be better furnished. There are also no amenities in the room whatsoever. No tea or coffee, either. The bathroom is old, and the lavatory drain was blocked. The bath has a flimsy curtain rod and curtain. The towels are okay.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful and also willing to speak English. We were upgraded to a suite which was wonderful with a big terrace and sea view. We enjoyed our breakfast outside overlooking the sea. The freshly made omelette was delicious

The location of the hotel and the direct access to the beach is awesome. Since we booked a superior room for a couple euros more the view of the room was amazing and the bed was huge. The staff was very friendly. Food was good.

However there are also a couple negatives:I’ve been to the hotel as a kid (10+ years ago) and barely any renovations have been done. The hotel looks the same as back then and a lot of things are quite old. The safe and for some reason the fridge cost extra to use. The restaurant is also very full and loud but thats normal in a hotel of this size. Since the hotel is not cheap I would expect the management to do some renovations sooner or later. If you stay at this hotel try to get a room with sea view. It’s only a little more expensive but it’s definitely worth it since the view and location is one of the best things about the hotel

too noisy. Guess this was a 4 stars hotel but is no longer.2 out of 3 elevators were out of order. Fake grass outside, such a pity the hotel has high potential. Very noisy rooms

The restaurant: the food was obviously mass produced and far from memorable. The low quality of the olive oil served is a good hint of the restaurant's standard.

Everything was great ! I was surprised by so fast and quick help that I got . I travel a lot but I didn't see such a good hardworking Manager and so quickly help , I think his name is cesar en I appreciated his team there were amazing !!!Delicious food and very good location .

Excellent food and very nice personal and service!! All different types of tapas was fabolus! A very good place for vacation!! :)

It shouldnt be allowed for guests to put their towels on the sunbeds while they are eating. Because in that way all the beds often was occupied without being used.The elevators need service.A little refridgerator inn the room would have been nice.
