Vista Cave Hotel

Location

Having stayed at several other cave hotels during this trip, I found the overall experience here lags behind the others. While the location is fantastic, I felt the room cleanliness didn’t quite meet the standard as compared to others nearby. Wifi is not working in the room. Additionally, while the reception staff were friendly, they seemed to be students working part-time who struggled with local knowledge and general inquiries. Also felt the breakfast selection was a bit limited.

Breakfast was great

While the views and setting at Mithra Cave Hotel were beautiful, unfortunately, our overall experience did not meet expectations.The air conditioning in our room leaked into a bucket that had to be manually emptied every hour, which was both inconvenient and unacceptable. Several of our personal items got wet as a result. When we asked the staff if they had a dryer or any alternative solution, they were careless and simply said no.Additionally, the airport transfer arranged through the hotel was disappointing. The van smelled like smoke, and the air conditioning did not work, making the ride extremely uncomfortable—especially after a long flight. For a hotel of this reputation, I expected more consideration when selecting transport vendors.I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves their customer service and facilities, especially for guests who book expecting a higher standard of hospitality.

Location was the only good thing about this place.

Terribly rude staff, no WiFi, and dirty rooms

The location was very nice.

Staff was rude (yelled at us when we were checking in and were not hospitable throughout our stay), no WiFi throughout the hotel, rooms were not cleaned (and the staff complained when we asked to have them cleaned), and throughout our stay the hotel was very slippery due to ice (we had multiple falls and 1 injury).

Hotel Mithra was a unique experience for our stay in Cappadocia.It was our first time staying in a cave room, a bit dark and windowless, which felt unusual at first, but that’s part of the authentic cave hotel charm. The view from their restaurant was absolutely stunning! Unfortunately, there were no balloons for a couple of days, and the only morning they flew was the day we flew the hot air balloon such a pity since the hot air ballon view from the hotel was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Still, its location in the heart of Göreme made it a perfect and convenient choice overall.

The shower drain needed to be fixed as it was accumulating water with the shower on.

Great location, very high up. Excellent view restaurant and terrace were wonderful.

Pictures on the website are misleading. Only one bathroom for a family suite.

Beware if you are staying in room 13. The bedroom is directly below the restaurant and you will hear chairs moving and footsteps late into the evening and early in the morning. On our last morning the balloons were flying, however the public terrace for pictures did not get set up until almost the very end when the balloons were landing.

Perfect location! Everything was right near by and the spot for watching balloons was amazing. The staff had the best customer service.

Keep in mind this is a cave. It was dark and a little dusty. To be expected!

The room was right underneath the cafeteria, because of that it was really noisy all night, We couldn’t sleep till midnight!!!! In the morning also it started again which made our stay really difficult!!!

Waking up to the sight of hot air balloons soaring over Cappadocia from our spacious cave room at Mithra Hotel was magical! Seriously, the view was incredible.

We were really hoping to capture that classic shot with the carpet seating, but it wasn't arranged in the morning. It was not consistent. Staff was on leave and there was no others who could arrange and prepare it.

Nothing at all

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the hotel I booked through your platform. The experience was far from what was advertised and expected.•The room was extremely small and looked nothing like the photos shown on your website.•The staff were unprofessional and discriminatory, treating us with clear bias simply because we are Arab and Emirati.•The breakfast was a complete disappointment — there was barely any food, most of it was finished, it was not clean, and there were flies around.•The dining area was unhygienic, and when we asked the staff for help, they ignored us and behaved rudely.This experience made us feel unwelcome, disrespected, and cheated — especially since we paid extra for a better stay. I request a full refund for this unacceptable service and false advertising.I expect a serious response and action regarding this matter.

- the cave suite is clean and well kept - friendly staff - nice rooftop terrace and good breakfast, though we didn’t manage to take the hot balloons pics due to the weather - rooftop terrace staff was helpful and keen on taking pictures for you

The location, stuffs and facilities were awesome.! All the stuffs were very flexible and helpful to accommodate our request the best way possible.

I think it’s not about the property but mostly in Turkey they don’t provide drinking water as and when is needed at the room. They serve limited number water bottles per day so it would be great if they remove this control.

Truly enjoyable experience at the cave hotel to experience Kappadokya and all the attractions can be booked within the hotel where the tour agency will provided the transport to and from the hotel. We truly appreciate the staff service for making our stay as comfortable as possible.Hotel has the perfect spot to view the hot air balloons in the morning and provide the best spot for photo taking

Good locations and view

They left expired coffee and supplies in the room. We asked for water which was complimentary but they asked us to buy it from restaurant.Staff wasn’t that friendly and services wasn’t great.

Spring bed, holes in towel, outdated equipment, overpriced compared to other true 4 star hotels. Can't even serve real orange juice at breakfast...

Terrific location with incredible views of the city and the surrounding area. Lovely staff, they were also very helpful in organizing airport transfer. They offer both cave rooms and rooms with lovely views in the newly built part of the hotel. Nice breakfast buffet with city view, lots of Turkish specialities on offer.

Location was good. Love the heated tiles.

Great view to see the famous Cappadocia hot air balloons. Cave hotel rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet has good food selections.

Staff does not aware on the activity of the city. We asked the staff if there’s a fireworks for the new year and he said no. So, we went to our rooms and put on our sleep wear then after a few minutes we heard the fireworks so we run outside with sleeper and sleep wear to see it! We could have plan watching the fireworks better if we got the right information or if he doesn’t know, just simply say, “I don’t know or I’m not sure” would be a better answer to our inquiry.
