    • The staff were amazing.
    • Everything was great, especially the location and the staff, that was very nice and friendly - it is right on the beach and they have free sunbeds and towels for the customers. The view fron the restaurant was one of the best views in Agia Marina, we saw the best suntrises there.
    • We absolutely loved our stay! We moved from another hotel that we didn't like and we were SO happy we did. The room is so spacious and nicely decorated. The view from the room was amazing to wake up to everyday! The included breakfast was a nice touch. The staff was incredibly helpful with a few difficult requests we had. This hotel saved our vacation we are so grateful!

    Cons -

    • Nothing loved it. Room was a little small but not small enough to make a difference.
    • It would have been nice to have a screen for the mosquitos for the balcony/window.
    • Nothing everything was great! We were a little sad it was so windy while we were here because we would have loved to enjoy the beautiful beach more but obviously that can't be helped. Plus the front desk staff helped us out and suggested a beach that wouldn't be windy on our last day and it was perfect!

Nice location, good rooms , great staff. Nice pool (although very few beds - we had no problems as there was not much guests). Located just by the beach with free beds and umbrellas where you can order your drinks.

We had two rooms. The room on the upper floor was nice with a nice balcony, but the ground level room had a balcony just in front of the parked cars meaning it could be hardly used to stay as it was too much exposed. Understand the parking is limited, but would consider to remove the parking slots from the front of the ground level rooms as the hotel has an alternative parking. Instead of the parking a separation fenced area with plants could be created.

I love my stay at this hotel!Location just right next to the beautiful beach, especally enjoyed my morning coffee with the sea view!Breakfast was great, with many different options each day. Dinner was delicious, the best moussaka I've ever ate! Chocolate cake and orange cake with the ice cream...the best!?Our room was super clean with all amenities we needed. Towels were replaced every day.We had beautiful sea view from from our balcony.Even though the hotel is in a busy area, it never felt that way in the hotel, there was always a lot of space in the restaurant and free beds on the beach. The highlight of this hotel was the staff! They were all so helpful, kind and friendly, big thanks!?

I didn't like parking lot that is located just under the balcony.

Cleanliness and staff is very nice location at the beach is perfect and if I don’t want to drive , there are many restaurants and little shops around Nice restaurant at the hotel and delicious food reasonably priced

Really poor internet , constant interruptions One day we told they had a problem with the laundry and no beach towels were available, we were told to use our used towels

Beautifully located right on the beach. We were lucky enough to have a room with a sea view, so could enjoy the sunset from our balcony in the evenings - heaven! The bed was large and very comfortable. The shower was great! The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff were all lovely and extremely helpful.

Our room was quite small, considering the amount we paid for it (€277 per night). It had very little storage - no drawers and a meagre 5 clothes hangers in the wardrobe! We had to live out of our suitcases, which was far from ideal in such a small room. Very poorly designed.Agia Marina itself is not a particularly pretty resort - just a long strip of hotels and restaurants, quite characterless. There is an older part, which has more of a village feel to it and some lovely tavernas. It is close to the hotel but easy to miss, so make sure to ask how to find it.

A very pleasant experience at this hotel. Although we arrived before the check-in time, the young lady at the reception invited us to wait for breakfast while the room was being prepared. The food was very good, both at breakfast and at lunch and dinner. The room and bathroom are spacious, and cleaning is done every day. Access to the sunbeds on the beach is free, even beach towels are provided. The reception and breakfast staff are extraordinary, always attentive and smiling.

+ Great location, directly by the sea+ Very nice staff+ breakfast exceeded our expectations +++ Absolute hidden gem

We added one more night in a "basic" room, which was way too hot, and the emergency exit sign was very bright, which disturbed our sleep - it's definitely worth booking a superior room

    9CassiaPosted on: 8-12-2024

Location, sunbeds by the beach always available (August-24). Friendly staff at reception with great tips and concierge service. Comfy bed and pillows. New bathroom and shower.

Breakfast has potential for improvement. A bit slow service on resto area.

Elia Agia was terrific. The facility was very clean, amazingly located right on the beach and the breakfasts were really, really great. What a spread! We had a great time there. The A/C in the room was a life saver! The beach and water there is wonderful, too,

The rooms while very clean with a nice little balcony, could have used a dresser of some kind. Any drawer would have been welcomed. I didn't research carefully enough to see how busy the main street was where this is located, and therefore, the beach, too. If you're looking for a real hopping spot with lots of people (tourists mostly) and families, then it's a great spot. If you're looking for something a little quieter and off the beaten path, this may not be the best choice. Regardless, we really liked our stay there. The pool was small and meh...we didn't use it as the sea was awesome, and food/bar service ended a little early for our schedule (somewhere between 9-11pm depending on the night), but I really think they did a great job overall.

The hotel is great, it’s in such a good location and the beach is a few feet away. Our room was very clean and had all the amenities you could possibly need! Breakfast was wonderful with lots to choose from. I will most definitely be coming back! Tip: go to the mini market on the corner and get the frozen bottles of water, they’re a bit more expensive but it stays cold ??

The waitresses on the restaurant and on the beach were great. The location.

This time it wasn’t as good as last year so it was quite disappointing and since this was our second time in a row in the property we were expecting at least the same experience.First of, the WIFI in the property was a complete disaster. No way of using any social media nor basic apps like WhatsApp. So I had to use roaming. The room got clean daily but some days they left us with dirty towels, some days they didn’t change our bed sheets and one day they forgot to put a pillowcase so we couldn’t use all the pillows. The fridge didn’t work as expected and it made a clicking noise but since we had already requested to be moved to another room we didn’t say anything about this. And last but not least there was a water problem which affected the whole area. It started around 6pm and I didn’t got solve until the next day around 7:30pm. My complaint is not about the situation is about how the service desk staff handled it.The service desk (afternoon and night shift) told us there was a water problem and that we just needed to wait. When we told them but how can we brush our teeth or how can we flush the toilet they told us we should wait. No plan B or solution was given. Then they told us the water was going to be back in a few hours, obviously that didn’t happen. So a very sit back approach from the service desk staff which was very annoying. Eventually I asked them if they could at least provide us with some water to brush our teeth and they gave us 1lt bottle. The next day, in the morning I told them I was going to complain to booking if they didn’t gave a us plan B since we are paying, and one member of the service desk staff told me: “well if you think that’s going to bring the water back” which I found pathetic and aggressive. In the afternoon they told us we could go the other building, the SPA facility, and that we could have a shower there. Eventually the water came back.Last year when we checked out we got an olive oil which was great, this year nothing.

Cozy, modern, and stylish hotel, loved the curtains, balconies, and terrace in particular. Great location - just by the sea, with a wonderful view and private territory where there’s always enough spots and sun loungers. Delicious meals, huge portions, and DIVINE chocolate and orange cakes. All staff are absolutely amazing - very kind, flexible, thoughtful, and helpful. My special thanks to Georgos and Kostas who went beyond just providing a service and brought in a personal touch that made my experience genuinely warm and human? This was a perfect 10-out-of-10 stay beyond any expectations. My warmest regards and biggest thanks to the whole team that stands behind????

This is not meant as negative feedback but rather a suggestion:Even though it was meant to enhance the guests’ experience, perhaps, could be a bit more mindful of resources and offer guests an option to reuse towels - no need to change them every day. Also, when asked to serve 1/2 instead of a whole portion, especially by guests from a low-context explicit culture, know that they are not being modest or holding back, they truly mean that? I hate to throw away food, but sometimes I simply could not finish my meal for the portions were so huge. And you should definitely bring those exquisite juicy cakes on your menu more often?

Staff is very friendly, nice and helpful (reception, bar/restaurant, beach); helped us also with trips, renting a car and restaurant recommendations; location on the beach with fine sand and sandy and easy entry into the sea; sign on the beach not to leave towels on sunbeds; food and drinks at the restaurant; proximity to other beach clubs and good restaurants. Close to bus stop to Chania.

Some guests need to learn how to behave in a boutique hotel - too noisy when going back to rooms after midnight (rooms close to reception and on the way up are more affected) - this has nothing to do with the hotel and its staff

    9JoannePosted on: 6-24-2024

The hotel staff and rooms were lovely. Wonderful restaurant recommendations from front desk staff.

The bath towels were thin and fraying. Upon checkout, I mentioned this to the staff and was told new towels have been ordered.
