Iolida Beach by Smile Hotels

Air conditioning broken and they could not fix it.

The apartment was quite big and very clean, with an excellent sea view. Big ups to the cleaning ladies which are doing a great job.

Almost no shadow for the pools and sunbeds, very small playground for the children with no grass and no shadow during most of the day.

Been comimg for years and it's gone down hill bad. Annual tourist are not taken care of any longer and it's only about the Scandinavian people. Closing a pool at 6pm is unbelievable. Food is downgraded. They cut thier veg like 2 days before serving and they are dry. They shut cafe machine off after breakfast which is horrible service. There are many reasons why I won't come back .

Beautiful sea view. Very kind, helpful, willing stuff. Private beach with sunbed. Very delicious traditional food.

I could constantly hear some device (probably a compressor) running, which was very annoying, especially at night.

Food is fantastic. Komfortible beds. Views are outstanding from balcony.

As usual sound proof is not a strong side.

Very clean and pool by the beach was good for the kids.

At the breakfast there was not enough forks, knives, bowls. Music was too loud. Also at the dinner it was difficult to find clean table even after the peak hours.

The beach in front of the hotel is nice, the 24H staff available, the helpful staff who try to fix the issues with the room, the cleaning staff who are doing a great job trying to make the hotel look younger than what it is. Basically I liked the staff. The 39 square meters of the room.

Basically i didn't like my room, and the hotel road location that is 6 min away from the beach that was sold to me for a beach hotel... Some flats with the sea view (like the one I had to stay in for the 2 first nights) have a strong vis-a-vis with the exit/entrance of the lift (we are talking of about 4 meters! See picture that is making lift looked farther away than it is in reality. The vis-a-vis is looking all over your balcony and beyond! i.e. into the bedroom/bed, and in the living room too. This situation is forcing you to close the curtains (if you are not exhibitionist). I thought I was booking a room by the beach with the sea view, in fact i got a room 5-6 minutes walk away from the beach (depending on an old lift availability). I was in a building facing the main road, which depending on the wind can be heard till late in the night. I felt I was staying in a road hotel. In other word I booked a road hotel room and not a beach hotel room as I thought. In addition the state of the overall room facilities didn t meet my expectations: The lighting of the room was super uncomfortable, furniture of the kitchen and bathroom were old (some are fixed like the sink see picture), The bathroom is old and moldy (see picture), sofa bed was super bulky and uncomfortable. I honestly extremely annoyed with the value for money (240€/night), there are plenty of better options around this hotel. in Value for money I wouldn't t put no more than 5 (because of the 39 m2). I put 6 overall, as my room was changed after 2 days in the darkness, into a normal bedroom, I meant by that : without a vis-as-vis but with the same old issue than the first one (lightening, old furniture, old bathroom, road hotel/5-6min form the beach...)

Location, size of pools, quite clean room, some of the days food was quite good. Reception lady is very nice and helpful! (The one who smiles all the time!)

Very dirty pools. Very old property. Awful hot elevator to go up in Star annex, which sometimes just did not work! Cocktails! - just bad. Beer is ok, everything else is awful. The main minus for us - on such a huge territory not a single air conditioned playroom for kids.

Very good location with a beautiful beach. Very good breakfast. Very clean and friendly staff.

Went with a friend and booked the room with the private pool . So glad we did, we felt very posh. We were celebrating our big birthdays. Hotel was amazing and food excellent.

Food was nice, however it was never hot. Unless you got it just as they placed it out, the heat lamps just didn't work

I noticed that the place was immaculately clean, the pools were well-maintained and inviting, and the staff was exceptionally friendly.

The bedroom lacked curtains, making it difficult to sleep in with the sun shining. The restaurant only offered a limited buffet selection. An a-la-carte option would have been nice.

Amazing staff. Everyone were very helpful and overall we had a really good stay here.

This hotel needs renovation. It’s a 4 star hotel but didn’t feel like it.

Good facilities, excellent poor and beach. The buffet is also nice. The price is within acceptable range.

Room might be difficult to find.

Right on beach, nice sunrises, clean nice sandy beach where one can take long walks, low sea good for kids when weather good, excellent superhelpful staff, clean, all inclusive covering all basic needs, convenience stores all around.

Uncomfortable beds, busy traffic on the street separating the two halves of the property (but a crossover bridge in place), pool chairs reserved from early morning (despite unoccupied during parts of the day), food a little monotonous with too much sauces (more natural would be better, sauced could be kept on the side).

Really really disappointed. Extremely misleading pictures when you book the room (we booked the studio with sea view, with breakfast), they show it’s right above the beach when it’s actually far away. There’s no description prior to the booking that the room is on the other side of the ‘resort’, this comes after you book the room. When I addressed this at the reception desk, they were trying to convince me that it was in the description, even when I showed them there’s nowhere such thing. When I asked them if we could go to another room that was close to the beach, they told me this side of the facility is not occupied, which wasn’t true either. Furniture were old, the bedding was dirty, swimming pool had mould around, sunbeds were wore out, in general the whole hotel had this old worn out vibe, honestly I don’t understand why they charge those rooms 200€ a night, I thought I was booking a 4 star resort when this was nothing close to it. Wouldn’t recommend it.

It was a wonderful stay in Iolida beach, it was so comfortable to be there. There are no luxury design or a lot of events, but it was so cozy, clean and the food was amazing! It was the most delicious all inclusive in my whole live. Stuff was super friendly, we felt like we were at home there. The beach was clean, sea was amazing and we could find sun beds at every time of the day. Our room was a bit far from the beach in second part of the hotel, but we had a wonderful sea view and it was super quiet there
