Pros +
- The girls who work in the Kids club are amazing, so kind and attentive to the children. Celia and her two colleagues were really exceptional!! We had a family suite and our daughter adored her bunk bed and the family friendly design. The hotel is beautiful, the facilities are excellent and we were really happy with the buffet breakfast and dinner. Always great choice and good quality.
- Location was good, room was clean, facility was clean at all times. I love the daily evening activities.
- Liked the lay out and the staff were pleasant, Buffy’s were very good and good variety
Cons -
- I didn't love the different tiered access. Certain areas are closed off to those on exclusive packages which I didn't personally like. The hotel is a little outside Costa Teguise so required a taxi / bus ride. Taxi cost approx 4e so wasn't bad!
- Food needs to be tastier, Add more food varieties from different part of the world.
- All inclusive , and we always receive a cocktails granitas, it should be written when you book that , and now the all cocktails are included

Only lower shelf drinks available unless you were in royal class, the three restaurants were not free to eat there, so after a few days of Buffy food we went out to eat a few times, no beach with sand and unfortunately the sea was freezing. They only had the one heated pool the others took some getting used to Should of read the small print
Great tri training facilities and good value for money
Bar area in the leisure side of hotel was a bit like an airport waiting area
Lovely hotel with great facilities, nice pools staff are amazing can’t-do enough for you. Bufffet was good but didn’t ha
That I was put a long way from everything on my own felt a bit scary at times as no one was around
Good sport facilities for tri training. Food and drinks very reasonably priced.
English TV channels temperamental, pool tables broken.
The food was excellent as was the staff in the restaurant's.The room was lovely and spacious.
I would have liked to have been able to sit around the adult only pool but apparently it was closed. We are in our 70s and we're put next door to young girls who were noisy at night and we had to ask them to be quite after 12pm it was.Had we have been staying longer we would have asked to move.We found both sets of toilets in the reception areas in need of updates or to be kept cleaner.
Buffet is goid but like all all inclusive it gets samey after a while
Noise in rooms….. walls paper thin. Listened to neighbour vomiting all night on 1st night and then coughing up every morning ?
Professional, nice, and helpful staff. Large, cozy, and clean room. Tasty food.
We loved it! Super clean, very friendly staff! Totally want to go back and we wouldn't change a thing! They had the most delicious breakfast.
Steam iron was not in the room, but was provided afterwards.
The resort as a resort is ok. The Barcelo Active Resort (not the Royal level) is good. The room that we booked had a small living area, spacious bedroom, bathroom with shower and a balcony with a nice pool view. Two big TVs (one in living space and one in the bedroom). The living area is perfectly comfortable and big enough with a pull out sofa bed, a coffee table, small desk, small cooler fridge and a spacious wardrobe with safe. The sofa was pretty comfy for sitting. The bedroom was perfectly spacious with a double bed and also a wardrobe. The beds were very comfortable and clean (to the naked eye). The only fault was the beds were so easy to drift from one another that one could fall through just by sitting in the middle between the beds. These rooms deserve a king size bed.Bathroom was just ok. Standard bathroom was its shower and hair dryer. Also complimentary toothbrush and some toothpaste. The shampoo and shower gel were nothing special and felt like drying the hair and skin. The cleaning was done nicely and every time the staff cleaned the room it looked nice and tidy and noticeably the floor was also cleaned. The only issue is we saw cockroaches in the room on our way home….Breakfast and dinner buffet: Food was ok with a nice variety of food to pick from every day. From various cereals, omelette, boiled eggs, scrambled egg, salads, yoghurts, freshly prepared smoothies and fresh juice from various fruits to pastries, pancakes and other dishes and treats. The problem was with some tags saying vegetarian cuscus but it was with meat…so not as described and that’s just one example. Also, on our second day at the buffet I saw a cockroach on the floor at the pastry counter.Location: The Royal level is set closer to the coast while the non royal level is located a little further away (across the street).
Everything!!!
There was an awful odour in the bathroom! We did report it several times, cleaners came but an hour later it was back again, kinda ruined the stay, we did request a room transfer but the man on the desk said the manager was in a meeting, he never got back to me, I was told nothing they can do until the manager is free!
Staff very friendly and hotel lovely and clean. Royal Level was not worth the price for what you received but would stay again, just on the regular tariff.
Great location and great facilities. Restaurant food choice and quality excellent
Pool bar cocktails are not made fresh and are now pre-made slushy which are not pleasant
Great selection of food, very clean room, nice views!
Beds were on wheels, we had to remove the wheels in order to keep the beds in one place.
Had a fabulous time. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food choices could be a little better, but we were happy with it overall.
Breakfast was good and facilities were good, so to were the staff
I paid for a sea view room and was given a room with trees covering the view and a ground floor room or underground on the road with people and groundsman walking past my see through doors which is utterly dissatisfying and disappointing having paid extra for something, when I requested a different room staff were unable to give me another room which was not good. Also there were an incredible amount of mosquito activity in my room and cockroach and small flys that I had to deal with causing multiple bites and bruises which I have pictures of and also the 6 to 7 that I manage to illuminate myself. Will be making a complaint if this doesn’t get put forward to them. Thanks
Ordered a double bed took 2 days to sort out mattress as staff were busy Hotel shown as connecting to a beach. Beach is a rocky bay. Room left without towels Closest beach at te guise is 40 minute walk. One male member of staff rude and dismissive of simple questions and requests. Interaction as follows between him and my partner: How do I join the art and wine? How would I know that? You work here. It’s impossible to know where every activity takes place. Check the magazine. Unhelpful and rude I later witnessed a similar interaction between him and another young woman with a simple question & his dismissive attitude was as if she was bothering him. She waited until he left to return to the desk to ask a more professional member of staff the same question and they were helpful.
Loved the large spacious double room with ensuite & large balcony located on the top floor, It got sun most of the day, Room/balcony were private, minimal overlooking. Room had good sized wardrobe for clothes. Pool/sunbed terrace areas were attractive, spacious and well maintained with an abundance of sunloungers. Considering the size of the hotel, it didn't feel crowded. It was also a peaceful and relaxing area to spend time in. I used the gym facilities in the other resort, a great bonus.I travelled alone so chose all inclusive. Good choice of food and an abundance of it. Felt quite OK dining alone and tables available most of the time. There is a daily programme of fitness classes which I didn't get round to attending as they weren't well publicised. I had to book them on the app which I couldn't get to work. If I had stayed longer I would have signed upto these. Most importantly , my stay exceeded my expectations!
Water flow in shower was a little weak, A few more clothes hangers would have been useful. Coffee made from a cappacino machine rather than a self service machine would have been appreciated. Minor things, though....I chose all inclusive, which provided 3 full meals a day, plus tea coffee and alcohol beverages and night time snacks. In retrospect, HB would have been adequate! The phone in my room didn't get answered, again I couldnt work out how to book a nassage thru the app. I missed out on that. For solo travellers who don't have someone to ask or a techy travel companion, someone to give better guidance of the hotel facilities would have been useful. It took a day or two to understand and acclimatise to the hotel facilities, as the resort is so large. I helped another solo traveller who felt uncomfortable sitting on the sunloungers by himself and dining by himself. I showed him where he could sit outside that was. a bit more discreet. He was most appreciative!
