The sleeping cubes gave little ventilation, so they get warm in the night. A small fan would be ideal to have inside, and the white noise they make would be helpful for sleeping.

Excellent location in the old town Palma 10 minutes walk to the cathedral. Nearby plenty of shops bars cafes and everything you need. Lovely building in a nice quiet spot. Great staff and its kept nice and clean. Very relaxed atmosphere.for chilling. The dorms were very nice air conditioned private and secure..

Nothing to dislike

Great location in the center/old town. Alberto the receptionist was helpful in planning my daytrips around the island. Checkin is strict at 3pm but you can leave your luggages for free in their storage or for a paid locker (either is okay also after checkout). The beds are very "capsule" like but you get used to it complete with linen, blanket and pillow. The locker system in the bed is useful and safe for belongings (there is also a safe within it). Bathrooms and toilets are clean and private. Would stay here again if I come back. One of the better hostels I have stayed in.

It locates exactly in the old town, 5 min to all the main churches and touristic places. Cubicles are super cute, spacious, with the locked storage for your belongings, lights and electricity sockets. Transport is very close by, so you can take a bus and go to a different city or to the beautiful beach. Staff is veeery lovely, friendly and helpful. There is a luggage storage, and also you can still use a kitchen, even after check-out. Kitchen has several fridges, tableware, pans, stoves and everything you might need for comfortable staying

Cold in the rooms and first thing in the morning in common room area . They should keep room temperature at 20-21 C

They provided items like unlimited towels, extra bed sheets , your own safe in your personal locker which many other hostels don’t. The staff also went above and beyond even after our checkout they offered us to leave our belongings if we needed ! I am definitely coming back :)

Employees, location, facilities.

The mattress they use are foam made. However the foam is not the best quality. They have got the form of the people who sleep there.

Really nice hostel. Clean, well organized. Gabo, the receptionist, was a great help :)

Location!

Unfortunately, it is not as clean as the reviews said. I woke up to pee all over the toilet seat and floor, and there’s a lot of hair around.It’s clear they have a cleaning crew. That’s really good, but maybe they need to have them come more frequently? The other disappointment was all of the kitchen items are plastic, so if you make a cup of tea, it taste like plastic/coffee.

Exceeded expectations, "cubby" style bed with a place to keep your stuff was absolutely perfect (all hostels should be like this!), clean good facilities, 24 hour reception.

If you're paying that much for a hostel, luggage storage should be free. Storage is quite expensive

I don't have much experience with hostels and usually prefer hotels, but my stay in El Josemari Youth Hostel was surprisingly pleasant. I stayed in an all-female shared room for 4 people. I only used the room for sleeping during the night, and it was comfortable, clean, and safe. Each bed was designed as a tiny cubicle and well equipped with a locker (super useful!), reading light and sockets. The staff was extremely friendly, the shared bathroom and toilet were always clean, and the common area was pleasant. The hostel is perfectly located on a beautiful square close to a basilica in the old city center of Palma.

It was rather expensive for a hostel, but this comment is more of a critique towards hotel prices and their availability in Palma in general, not towards El Josemari Youth Hostel in particular.

The design of the bed with the locker within the capsule was great, staff was friendly and efficient, good location.

Mixed bathrooms that didn't look as good as in the photos on Booking. No big light in the room, just lamps inside the capsules. I've stayed in much better hostels for less money.

Bottom bunk was mattress directly on the floor causing difficulty for my friend getting down and getting out.!!No chair to use for doing your shoes up or just sitting for short while.One locker did not work with key card.

Location and all the stuff.

Not enough space for basic things. People ( guests) are very loud at all night and not respecting quiet time. 2 toilets and 3 showers for whole floor. You have to make a request for staff that someone opens a window for fresh air( you can’t do that and air smells very very bad). Overall, overpriced stay that does not provide basic thing. I asked for change of a bed, they never responded for my request, even there were some available beds.

really enjoyed the stay—the location was great, close to all the main spots and easy to get around. It made exploring the area much simpler and more fun. The staff were also very helpful and friendly, always willing to assist and make sure everything went well, which made the whole experience even better.

The locker is positioned at the foot of the bed and is fairly spacious, providing enough room to store two bags comfortably, such as a standard carry-on and an additional small bag. However, it is not large enough to accommodate a full-sized check-in suitcase. Because the locker sits directly against the bed with no extra space in between, accessing it can be a little tricky. Taking a carry-on in and out requires some maneuvering, which may feel inconvenient if you need frequent access to your belongings.
