Disappointing for a 5* hotel. No elevators to rooms. Undersized bathroom. No luggage racks. Disappointing breakfasts.

Exceptional hotel incredible staff and service, attentive and kind with special thanks to Antonia, Myriam and the team we dealt with personally who made the stay worthwhile. My parents stayed there for our wedding and they were treated like royalty. Cannot recommend enough, truly a gem!!!

Everything was excellent. One slight problem was that the water wasn’t very hot on the morning that we left but it may have been that we were up early!

The whole atmosphere was amazing from start to finish - staff were so attentive to your every need. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are very well designed as is the hotel itself, feels like a home during your stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a somewhat mixed experience. The room was spacious and cozy, which I really appreciated and the ambience of the hotel was very nice and the staff are friendly.

However, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, and the small window didn’t allow enough fresh air to circulate. This made the room uncomfortably warm at night and disrupted my sleep. While the ambiance of the room was lovely, I hope the hotel can resolve these issues to improve the overall comfort for future guests. And the breakfast - we step in and step out straight away.

Lovely room, nice and bright, good amenities, beautiful reception and dining area.

I booked the room specifically for the bath, however on arrival at the room had no bath, just a shower. The staff were unable to swap me to a room with a bath. You should not be advertising something you cannot guaranty to provide.

Excellent service, including help with a baby. Good with gluten free for breakfast. Excellent location.

Beautiful interior, thoughtfully designed and very well appointed comfortable rooms. The desk/concierge staff was kind, professional and very helpful. Miriam had been a great help managing logistics details during our stay.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, very private rooms, majestic stairway in entrance, interesting history about the building.

Breakfast could have more choice. Only a small deal.

Ive been category 3 member of booking.com since inception, staying at all types of hotels and this is the first time i go out of my way to leave a comment. its nothing close to a 5 star hotel. Its a 3 and a half star at best. Upon arrival we asked where do we park and stayed on the line with staff which kept us going around in circles to ultimately figure out the hotel was in alleyway with no car access. We asked her how do staff arrive with cars her response ‘ they figure it our’ 2. The rooms were across two floors with the second floor having barely any room to stand straight.3. Bathroom were dirty4. Water is reusable which tastes like sea water. 5. Honestly other than the reception that looks nice, the hotel is completely underwhelming and wouldn’t stay there.

Hotel staff were lovely, beautiful building but not many facilities on site no pool or spa, restaurant we couldn’t take our baby into either, room service very limited.

No pool restaurant staff for breakfast were not as accommodating as hotel staff, wouldn’t allow us to have breakfast 15 minutes early even though it was all set up which considering the price for the hotel I thought was very bad and wouldn’t return based on that alone.

The location was excellent for visiting the city and surrounded by restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offering was exceptional. The room was spacious and the bathroom excellent.

The room was not as described in the Booking.com confirmation sent to me. The room had no kitchenette and was 'duplex' with very steep narrow stairs which I would not have chosen. We were told that the room with the kitchenette was already occupied. The living area of the room had 'leather' armchairs in the sitting area were very worn with holes in the arms and foam protruding, more shabby than chic, hardly 5*. The Merchants restaurant provided very average food. The meal was marred by the impossibly loud music which they refused to turn down, could not speak over it. Would not go back.Breakfast did not start until 8 am which seems a little late and we missed this on the last day.There needs to be better communication between 'Booking.com' and the Hotel to ensure that the client is booked into the room described.

Big nice room

That the Bell boy was sneaking around in our room even though i put out the don't disturb since I went out to buy water since they refilled with filtered tap water that tasted bad. And when I brought this out to the manager. She never came back with an answer why he was in our room. I did get compensated with late check out... but would know why the heck he was in my room! Won't stay ever again at this hotel.
