Town Lodge Polokwane

Their site didn't show the fully booked my booking went through and I didn't get a refund

The restaurant offering is a little limited, but for a work trip its perfect.

The staff are friendly, the facility itself is very clean and the rooms were made up very neat.

Location

Aircons is old and very noisy in the rooms. The single beds were wobbly and moved/swayed all over the place

I loved the location and aesthetics of the hotel; the staff was welcoming and friendly. The hotel is perfectly situated for the events at Meropa Casino, I have found a permanent solution in this stay.

There's no desk phone in the unit, no bar fridge as well. The restaurant covered a buffet breakfast till 10:30am and being late meant going to eat outside, it was a down part that we could not order anything as the kitchen would then serve again at lunch time. There was no pool view as per the booking :(

The cleanliness and the staff

Why if the breakfast is buffet do u still have to be served by someone..you wait while they cooking for other people in the queue..is not sitting well with me

The place is clean and comfortable

The restaurant staff didn’t want to assist us or give us attention when we needed it. They were only focused on the soccer players they were hosting and forgot about us. It was sad to watch actually. We couldn’t even order food cause no waiter was checking us.

I had to wait for someone to come to the reception desk. No one was there on arrival

The breakfast and dinner were good

Our rooms were smelly, especially in the bathrooms. I think that it might be the drain system that needs to be sorted out. A bar fridge in the room will be helpful to keep drinks/water cold for the next day. The air conditioning needs an upgrade as it is old and noisy (you cannot sleep with it on due to the noise)

Welcoming and friendly at reception, it was peaceful and clean everywhere, our room as well as the bathroom was very clean and comfortable.

They don’t have room service ?

A warm welcome as always. The Town Lodge is very clean from the front desk, restaurants, Bathrooms, hallway and rooms. The food is healthy and served with a warm smile by the chefs and waitresses. The security is good, welcoming smiles and greeting from the gate to the Town Lodge. I look forward to staying here in the future when I visit Polokwane.

There was an awful smell in the bathroom. It seems like the cleaners don’t use disinfectant or bleach when washing the toilets. The smell welcomes you as you open the bathroom door I was in room 263 on 1st floor, There are no lifts and no porters to help us carry the luggage. It’s hard carrying the luggage and bags up and down the stair case

Location and the staff were caring

Noisy people at night. No one was controlling them.

The place was extraordinary near to where the function were. Just a stone through away. The climate was so calm. We slept like kids

The mat iin room 216 is too old it needs revamp. The breakfast is too expensive R225 per person because it didn't have variety of food

Disaster - No client service - took 2 hours to deliver food, aircon not working, not accommodating our need for a ground

No lift only stairs. Aircons did not work - blows hot air the room was like a furnace. Restaurant took 2 hours to service food

The staff from the cleaners, chefs, front desk, security guard and Manager were very friendly. The Lodge is clean and smells good. The food is tasty, nutritious and well prepared. I will definitely keep recommending it and even go back there.

Everything was perfect. No complaints.
