Eight Hotel Paraggi

Staff, especially Amanda at Front desk and Ruggero the driver. All the guys at breakfast were great too.

Pretty pricey overall.

The location is nice. I like that they provided parking.

The radiator in the bathroom completely melted my swimsuit and nearly caught it on fire (multiple brown burn marks across it)! The jacuzzi (both in our original room and the room they so kindly upgraded us to) has only warm water… not hot. The thermostats in both rooms also would reset themselves randomly. The door to the restaurant needs to be changed to something that closes automatically.

The location and the staff

The jacuzzi in the room do not work. They change us to a different room and also didn’t work. They said it was because of the temperature outside… Jacuzzi most be always hot no matter the weather outside. Specially with the cost of this hotel. It felt they were just starting to prepare everything for the season and you could tell. Not well prepared.

The location is amazing and the private beach for hotel guests is handy, although very small and the lifeguard is super rude.The manager was very helpful and apologetic when we complained about our bed linen being dirty and room not cleaned properly.

The food is below average Most of the staff are unpleasant and unhelpful It didn’t have a friendly energy about it.

Most of the staff are rude. Not sure if it’s just a thing with Italy, we found in general that hospitality staff were abrupt and unhelpful. The hotels lifeguard was extremely rude to guests. There was only one lady on reception that was helpful. The rest were not interested and treated us like we were a major inconvenience.The food is terrible too. Breakfast is dismal.

Location is perfect and all the staff were lovely

The aircon system in our room was automatic so either freezing or had to be turned off manually at reception and then it was too warm. The reception team just seemed to think this was normal.

- The location is perfect just 10 minutes from Portofino and in the bay of Paraggi which is stunning! - Staff are very friendly and we liked that the hotel provides a shuttle to Portofino (very handy during the day)- The hotel is pet friendly.

I think considering the cost of the hotel there are some things that could be improved upon. For example: breakfast service was very slow, also the hotel room, we stayed in the room with jacuzzi which on arrival was half empty. The shower wasn’t particularly powerful, the robes are quite old and just some of the small finer 5* touches such as: ensuring there is milk pouches for coffee in the room or coffee pods matching up with the pods sign etc. This sounds very picky but I think given the cost of the room you expect luxury.

The decoration of the hotel and lovely breakfast. As well as very friendly and helpful staff.

The location was not amazing. And unfortunately we got the worst room, to the street and above the entrance. In the morning you heard every motorbike and car on the way to Portofino as if it would drive through the room. Also we were above the entry and heard the noise of the automatic doors and everyone talking in front of it. Not quiet at all, and in addition the aircon system was impossible to switch off. We did not enjoy our room at all.
