Everything was five star

It is a lovely hotel with a somewhat unassuming exterior but very comfortable interior. Simple decoration, large and comfy bed and an amazing view from the balcony. The sunbathing terrace and small swimming pool were greatly enjoyed by us even in October. The staff were all very nice and courteous, the buffet breakfast quite sumptuous. Easy walking access from the train station, close to the pier for ferries to Portofino and/or Rapallo, many restaurants nearby.

I wish they had kettle in the room to make tea or coffee.

The view was amazing. The beds were comfortable and the staff was great! Breakfast was excellent.

The room could have been a little larger - it was an apartment for 5 people and very cramped.

This was by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.The view was amazing, the pool was spectacular but more importantly, the people that work here now my family! I fell in love!!! Great people!!! So welcoming and kind!!!

Great location at the city center. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great breakfast. Nice view of the bay. Friendly Staff. Short bus ride to Porto Fino. But Santa Margharita itself is a great little town.

Would have been good to have 2 bath in a family room for 4. Room size was fairly small.

Old and basic furniture with greenish uncomfortable light in bathroom which is not suitable for makeup, unfriendly staffs in reception, breakfast was ok but no fresh juice also limited amount of fruits and vegetables

The location is excellent!! Right on the waterfront. Easy walking distance to restaurants, gelato etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast is fantastic. I have nothing but great things to say about the Hotel Laurin and highly recommend this hotel!

We love the location and the overall feel of the hotel. It was really great to use a pool area and it was easy to get to ferries to go to Portofino

We found a couple of bugs on our beds. This could’ve been from opening the window to outside on an occasion or two which we noticed we couldn’t really use because the terraces had a lot of ants and mosquitoes around. I paid extra to have the view and the terrace, but ultimately probably should’ve saved my money because we couldn’t use it because of the bugs. The rooms don’t connect so for larger families with smaller children this is very inconvenient, but the staff was nice enough to get us side-by-side rooms to help.

Great view from our room. Main bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had good choices and seating was comfortable. Front desk staff and bellhop were really nice.

The air conditioning hardly worked. It was quite warm in our room. Shower was challenging to keep water in the right place. Driveway for loading and unloading luggage was tight with very little room for error.

Arrived 2 hours early and the front desk checked us without blinking an eye, a lovely start. They were genuinely welcoming, helpful and proffesional. On other occasions we had requests and they dealt with each and every one with the minimum of fuss. Our room was spacious and clean, the view from the balcony overlooking the harbour was great. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of many hot and cold dishes. We adored the rooftop pool, extremely peaceful and relaxing. Hotel was in a wonderful location. Would return to Hotel Laurin without hesitation.
