Absolutely amazing value for money! The balcony was above the restaurant- so i got the disco for free also ?. Everything you need is there. Location is perfect as well.

The reception is friendly and helpful. Location is convenient.

The shower head was broken and the water keep coming out from the tube when i bathed. The bathroom plug hole and drainage is seriously blocked and the water is trapped and cannot drain away normally. It takes more than 15 minutes for the water to drain away after bath. i reported all of these to the reception and the reception is helpful to mark them down and reported but unfortunately there is no one come to fix the problem. I did not have a proper bath for 4 nights.

The amazing thing was that it was right in the centreThere wa also some concerts so it was playing right under our windows :DWe only stayed one night, but it was great value for money :)

Central location

Even on a Monday night it was noisy right outside until gone 1am. There was nobody on the desk to let me have my key, had people waiting to check in for over an hour.

Great location. Comfortable beds. I liked the little kitchenette in my room with a microwave, fridge & all equipment to have a drink & a meal. Pool area looked ok although extremely small. Quite a sun trap.

Outside looked so modern but inside certainly wasn't! It all needs a bit of maintenance to smarten it up. Bath was rusty & shower hose wouldn't stay up on the wall. Although there were 2 stools inside & 2 chairs outside there was no table to sit & eat or drink!

Tropical is an old classic Canarian hotel. The beds are a bit lumpy and the pillows and blankets could be replaced with new ones but for the price you can not expect Hilton. The cleaning service is excellent! Unfortunately, some rooms occasionally have a cockroach problem but the cleaners and the caretaker do all they can to keep them at bay. This is a problem all over Spain. I saw no other bugs and no roaches in my room. I requested top floor and I think I got the nicest room in the hotel with wonderful wives over Puerto, you can even see the sea roll in and if you’re lucky; green parrots in the palm trees. I had the best breakfasts in the big balcony but in the evenings the northwestern wind made it rather chilly that high up. ( March ) I imagine the rooms at the back might be a bit grotty but quiet. The music from the plaza café is only between 21 - 00 and a good pair of earplugs will do the trick if you want an early night. Otherwise I found the buzz from the plaza relaxing and the bird song beautiful. The location couldn’t be better, you are so close to everything. To f. ex The Botanic garden or the market, there is a steep climb but that’s part of the charm with P de C. The staff are helpful and friendly. Didn’t try breakfast but the restaurant looked nice. The little roof top pools are great for a quick dip. I’d definitely stay there again.

We loved the location. Staff were friendly. Room quite dated and basic which is reflected in the price. Bonus was the kitchenette. It was like a little self catering apartment. Balcony was quite small but served its purpose. All in all a good stay and would stay there again.

Great location in the middle of the city with lots of restaurants around, 3 min walk from the sea. Room and bathroom were clean with basic kitchen facilities.

The hotel/room were quite rudimentary but good at this price range.

WiFi was awful. Also were some troubles with access card while entering room. My room had bad window view, window was small. No possibilities to dry clothes

My new favourite place to stay in Tenerife North. Everything was absolutely perfect.I was a bit dubious after reading reviews but can happily say I’m glad I ignored them. Location is right in the heart of Puerto De La Cruz. Shops, bars, restaurants and ATM’s on the doorstep.Staff very friendly and helpful.I had a budget single room which was a more spacious than I was expecting. Bed very comfortable, good shower, microwave, kettle, tv, mini fridge and nice sized wardrobe with extra bedding if needed. The room and hotels were very clean. Lovely rooftop swimming pools and numerous chill areas and tables. Great breakfast and lots to choose from. I liked it that much I’ve extended my stay another few while I do some remote work. Perfect.

Dirty. Old bedding like in a homeless shelter.Bathroom- disgusting.For the whole week of our stay we couldn't sleep until the night hours - so loud.The only good thing is the location. Close to everywhere.

Very noisy street. Loud music and conversation until very late, and also early in the morning.

Great central location, great price, loved having a balcony, having a fridge , microwave and hob was great but we didn't use.

Walls were paper thin and double glazing poor so could hear all noise from outside which we expected being next to Plaza but every voice/noise from adjoining rooms was disturbing. No towels on arrival and when we asked for some it took 6 hours for delivery hence no showers for us on first day!

Location

There’s only one person to do the check ins so there’s always a big queue. When I arrived I told the receptionist I needed to work and I needed a quiet room. He took almost 30 minutes to gime me my key and gave me the worst room posible. It was on the first floor next to a restaurant with very loud music all evening. Out of 3 lights in the room just one worked so I had to buy candles to be able to work. Just on top op that my room key got broken, I waited another half and hours for them to fix it, when I’m going back to my room someone starts shouting at me saying that I’m not staying at the hotel and I was pretending to be someone else ??? At least it was sort of clean but honestly was a bad choice for me!

Great location.

Really noisy from the square until midnight every night. Noise options need to be clear on room selection. Absolutely disgusting smell from drains in bathroom. Asked for different room on 3 consecutive days. We were told none were available.

I liked everything. My favourite facility was the top floor pools and sun bathing area.

The Hotel could improve the communal sitting area by adding heating.

Kitchen in the room was nice. The cleanliness that was made after we left the sign on the door was appreciated.

The staff!!!! 1) They made the confusion regarding 2 hotels in 1 building 2) They made the mistake and gave us the key in the other hotel, but before that we had to come down 5 times because the key cards to our room door wasn’t working. 3) Their poor English.

I liked the location is very close to everything, it is a bit noisy to sleep because there is music and people until very late making noise but it is understood that we all go on holiday there. The staff try to put you a quick solution to the concerns you raise and that works the pool is small but they have one heated and one very cold ? but we enjoyed it.

The place needs some renovation, I think that for the money they ask for they don't give a quality, the things in the room are broken, like the toilet seat, the back of the bed, the bathtub is very old and rusty, they put a sign that they are not responsible for your valuables that you put it in the safe but the safe is very old and is closed???‍♀️ Even the batteries in the TV remote control were in bad condition and were coming out of the remote control compartment.
