    Pros +

    • The breakfast was on point and yummy, nice environment and the staff are great too.
    • Food (but it was kind of repetitive), location, rooftop
    • Great location. Clean. Beautiful. Great views. Delicious breakfast. Roof top bar incredible. Cocktails on point.

    Cons -

    • They should keep up the good work.
    • Only few parking places, soap in the bathroom smells like pickled cucumbers, no slippers, room looks plain and boring. Wifi does not work in some areas of the hotel (balcony, rooftop, pool)
    • The hotel is currently being renovated, and it’s noticeable — everything is gradually improving. In our room, the sliding bathroom door didn’t close completely, as some of its fittings were slightly worn. However, this is understandable, as the renovation is still in progress, and it didn’t spoil the overall pleasant impression of our stay.

A large hotel fairly near the centre up quite a lot of steps

We booked a superior sea view room and were given a corner room with a Teide view and a distant sea view. The room was as tired and in need of refurbishment which is being done to some of the hotel. It was not good value for money

breakfast good selection.. also tried the buffet one evening.. good value at Euros 15

a good 20m walk on a step hill into town centre

Everything!Staff were perfect, friendly & charming Location is great, away from the very busy front but not too far up a hill.Breakfast varied & generous but the coffee IS dreadful Room was well equipped, good size with balcony #301

    9FerminPosted on: 2-18-2025

Food for breakfast and dinner was great quality with plenty of choices. Staff were friendly and supportive. The views to Teide Mountain from the balcony were superb. The room was cleaned every day and the beds were quite comfortable.

There was a site next door starting to work pretty early in the morning. The location was good, but do not expect to find a slot in the parking area outside the hotel. It was not difficult to find one 5 mins walk from the hotel in February but the ramp down to the hotel is steep and might cause a problem to some people.

    Comfortable beds and nice views.

Shower was broken and flooding. Very basic rooms.

    7RuudPosted on: 2-6-2025

Lack of facilities in the lounge and too much noise made it uncomfortable to stay there

There always was loud music in the lounge, no quiet place to sit and read a book. Besides no possibility to get coffee in the lounge by day.In the room there were no coffee facilities.

Excellent location and surprisingly quiet at night time. The bedding is good quality and the bed was very comfortable. The room is a great size, bathroom and shower are immaculate and a great balcony overlooking the pool and Mount Teide. The room was cleaned every day by very pleasant staff. The rooftop bar and jacuzzi area is fabulous and the views are stunning

The entertainment area is too big making it feel sterile and intimidating rather than inviting and intimate. I am coeliac and options were limited with many dishes not being allergy labelled. The only g/f desserts available are fruit, yogurt and jelly which becomes monotonous. G/f bread and cake was available on request only at breakfast but both were not very pleasant.

Nice location, good size room, good breakfast, nice rooftop bar, nice balconies. Ok gym.

Rooms soundproofing very poor between each others. No coffee in rooms. Showering floods the bathroom. No parking at all (count 5min to find a spot, at about 5min walking distance)

Amazed bu the online pictures - dissapointed by the reality.

The pictures of the rooma preaented on Booking.com were digitally modified and looked like it is a new hotel - the truth is far from the pictures. The room was old and walls and facilities were old and messy

Great location and a swimming pool with direct sunshine from 09:30 to 17:30 in December/January, something which is hard to find in Puerto de la Cruz. Lots of space around the pool, as the guests tend to be older Northern Europeans. Great choice if you prefer to stay by the pool all day long.

The quality of food ingredients seemed to be poor. The New Year's gala dinner featured a variety of seafood which was tasteless. I did not dare to taste oysters, they did not look fresh at all. Plenty of leftovers from the gala dinner were served during dinner buffet in the following days. Both the meats, fish, and desserts were of rather mediocre quality. Better to eat dinner out in town.

The hotel is modern and in a good location, near public transport, beaches, shops, restaurants and a small shopping centre. It has a nice pool area, bar, restaurant and roof top bar worth checking out. Housekeeping cleaned room every day. Much of the area is on high ground as is the hotel. Across the road from the hotel there are 140 steps which take you to the beach, restaurants etc. This may pose a challenge for those less mobile, but taxies are always an option and are not expensive. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. The dining room is large where a lot of seating is always available. There was an excellent variety of food available for breakfast and dinner, a buffet style service. The catering manager and staff are efficient and professional. The staff were excellent and did endeavour to facilitate us in every was possible. We found Javier in reception had a good standard of English and was most helpful when we arrived and had to organise a taxi at short notice when the bus to the airport failed to arrive.

    10AdrianaPosted on: 1-4-2025

The hotel staff is very friendly, starting with the reception and ending with the cleaners. The kitchen staff was also extremely friendly. The buffet was varied with quality products, both continental and local (Canarian). Also entertainment every evening.

A big minus is the parking. The hotel parking lot only has about 10-12 spaces, and the parking lots on the streets around the hotel are very crowded.

Great rooms in a great location. Amazing staff - really friendly and always keen to help out.

We did not want the sea view here we much prefer Teide and the barranca so because we have stayed many times before they very kindly upgraded us and paid 3 euros per night for the safe. The food was not as good as our stay in March but better than most, they are just having major renovations on the side where there used to be unused tennis courts and in the basement which was never used to its full potential, because of the high winds on one day caused a lot of dust which managed to penetrate the rooms because of the way the patio doors are designed we felt extremely concerned for the extra work this must have caused their super cleaners who keep the place spotless El Tope is situated on a hill but has beautiful views but not the best place if you don’t like walking or have problems with your leg joints fortunately at our ages we are still very happy and able to enjoy the several walks down town and over to La Paz so an ideal position for us.

The choices of tea, (no green tea ) the coffee machine was not good either, no cafe on site to purchase a caffe con lech or a small snack or tapa at mid day if not full board.Puerto itself did not feel much like Christmas this year and not as vibrant as usual the traffic fumes and congestion was horrific and they have a major problem with their sea defences and sewage leaking into the sea so the beaches are closed for swimming, as there is a nice pool at the hotel it would not be a problem.

The staff and the food were very good

Almost no parking spots and noisy due to construction ongoing
