    Overall Quality

    Pros +

    • One of the highlights of the stay was the quality of the mattresses and beds, which provided a very comfortable and restful sleep. Additionally, the included breakfast offered a good variety of options, with thoughtful choices for vegans and vegetarians, as well as plenty of options for meat-eaters. Overall, these aspects contributed positively to the experience. Staff was friendly.

    • the room was spacious, the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice. The pool was chilled and had plenty of sun beds. We had a room with a seafront view which was amazing on the 10th floor

    Cons -

    • The room was tired and in poor condition, clearly in need of renovation. It felt neglected and outdated, with evident signs of poor maintenance throughout. The bathroom doors sagged significantly and did not close properly. Additionally, the shower handle rail was not securely fixed and did not hold at the desired height. The fridge in the room was non-functional, and there were no basic amenities such as a kettle, cups, tea, coffee, or cutlery, which hindered the ability to relax and enjoy the stay.Despite the premium price paid, the room did not meet the standards expected of a 4-star hotel. Furthermore, the absence of on-site parking caused additional inconvenience. Upon arrival, I was also surprised to find that the receptionist was unaware of my reservation. I was required to leave the hotel. Eventually i received callback, and fortunately, I had not finalized another booking elsewhere in the meantime. Though the latter could be Booking.com issue.
    • The hotel is in dire condition. Floor boards are used up and coming out, tiles are broken, joints/seams are falling out, huge stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. The hotel has not been renovated in probably 40 years. The room smelled like smoke (was non smoking). The breakfast room is really very sad for a 4 star hotel. Clientele is very old.
    • the lifts were very stuffy and slow

We enjoyed the location and our room with pool-view. The room had everything you might need and the fridge and ac worked perfectly. The staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the breakfast as we are early risers anyway and therefore went before the rush.

The dinner was not really our thing, The selection was especially limited for vegetarians (the only protein available being cheese, so no beans, chickpeas, tofu or anything else in the main dishes). The vegetable sides sometimes also had meat in them (for example brussel sprouts with bacon) and were cooked for people who might have a hard time chewing already... As a vegan you would probably only be able to eat salad, potatoes, bread and fruit as the vegetarian mains usually were covered in cheese as well.

The location in Puerto de la Cruz was very convenient

The hotel is dated and has an 80s feel to it.

    5BramleyPosted on: 7-5-2025

The location was good close to everything .

The hotel really needs some maintenance ,loose tyles outdated Aircon and ceiling fans ,steps onto the balcony which are quite high and not marked ,the show bar is very small and unless you are really early it's very hard to get a seat to watch the show .Breakfast adequate .

Great location, comfortable beds and fantastic sea view.

    Staff could be friendlier.

    8KathrynPosted on: 3-29-2025

The hotel is very well located with easy access to all local amenities. The pool area was pleasant. The breakfast buffet was exceptional with so much variety. The room was clean and comfortable

The property is shabby and in need of freshening up.

    8KimPosted on: 3-25-2025

Location & room very good. Bathroom a little squashed

Breakfast set up. No trays mean constant back & forth & I do not like buffet style meals. However the selection of food was excellent.

The location. Clean and comfortable, helpful staff, rooms with balcony outstanding.

We could not fault it. Perfect

    8AnnemariePosted on: 2-18-2025

I loved the staff, extremely friendly and helpful and welcoming :) The rooms are very clean and beds made perfect and fresh every day. The hotel is in an excellent prime location but it's not noisy.

Quite an elderly clientele so if you don't mind that then ok! Mornings in the hotel for breakfast are very busy so you need to be up quite early to enjoy it, the time of the breakfast could be extended to 11am and perhaps start at 8am instead, people enjoy a lie in on holidays without missing out on paid breakfast each morning.

    8JuliePosted on: 1-25-2025

The location was perfect and the staff very helpful . The breakfast buffet was amazing!

The public areas - bar, reception, conference could do with an upgrade.

    8AnnePosted on: 1-17-2025

The location and the views from our room on the 11th floor were amazing.

The breakfast was quite poor quality and the room was chaotic at the busy times. The hotel is quite old fashioned but that did not bother us. Getting a lift could take a while as one was broken. Also the pool area seemed quite small for the size of the hotel but we used Lago Martinez right outside instead.

Seafront location in Puerto de la Cruz. Good breakfast.

A long list: Dilapidated hotel, tired room. Cannot believe it is rates 4 stars! The lifts took ages (only 2 out of 4 lifts worked in a 7 storey block with dozens of rooms per storey). Tatty common areas. Rooms need refurbishing. Bathroom fittings are worn out. Our toilet flush leaked noisily all night. Reception area is dated, with a scruffy bar on one side and a bingo hall on the other. Very poor.

Great location, nice pool area. Bar area nice.

    6MichellePosted on: 1-11-2025

Fantastic location with restaurants & shuttle bus to Loro Parque within metres.Very comfortable beds.

    Dated in places, especially bathroom

    9JuliePosted on: 1-9-2025

Great location, Bar prices reasonable,Good choice of breakfast plenty of loungers by the pool .

Toilets in the public areas need to be monitored more often as they were dirty on more than one occasion. Some renovations have taken place in the bedroom. The shower is fantastic but it is letdown by the tray to put soap and wash flannel in as this is badly rusted. Needed a new toilet seat and generally a bit of care.
