    Pros +

    • A beautiful hotel, and a wonderful stay. Everything was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Everyone was wonderful. Our only quibble was that I hurt myself and needed ice and they wanted to charge a o Euro for it, which was not something we are used to. But otherwise everyone was great. So convenient to everything.
    • Receptionists were kind and always available to help me whenever I needed. My room was simple but cozy and very clean. The food was also very good.
    • Good location, ok breakfast, clean room, nice architecture and great staff.

    Cons -

    • I had difficulties with waiters as they couldn't understand me and sometimes I felt like I wasn't welcomed.
    • Room, while very large was outdated a bit dark and dump. The bathroom had no ventilation or window. Pillows were quite bad and lumpy.
    • Really overpriced and we could only book it with breakfast. The room needs renovation, ugly 90s interior. Mattresses had a gap. Typical hotel breakfast, don’t expect much!

My wife and I have stayed here several times before. Clean but dated hotel. Appalling chaotic breakfast ? WiFi didn’t work.

    7AnatoliyPosted on: 4-2-2025

The advantage - in the city center.Huge disadvantage - wifi only in lobby. Reasonable breakfast and the same every day without any variety.

The hotel was beautiful and well located in the centre of town. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was the only disappointment. The standard of food was poor and it was cold.. There should be another coffee machine as the queue was very long. Many of the tables were dirty, not cleared quickly after previous clients.

    Good location, nice big terrace.

Great location. Lovely traditional hotel.Staff were helpful and pleasant, they work really hard.Breakfast was not great, but how much do you really need, as there are so many different restaurants to choose from. Our bed was made every day, plus fresh towels.

No balcony, but that's my fault. I should have booked one.

One of our main considerations when choosing the hotel was the location in the "old town" section of Puerto de la Cruz and we were not disappointed. We were close to many shops and restaurants and a short walk from the pools at Costa Martianez and the beach. The included breakfast was a plus. (Keep in mind when booking this hotel that it is on a pedestrian street and vehicles cannot pull up to the entrance. The closest taxi or bus drop off will be a couple of blocks away.)

Not really a "didn't like" ... we were in a room with a tub with a shower. I understand that not all rooms are like that, some may have a walk-in type shower, and we would have preferred that. Nevertheless, given the view we had over the plaza on a higher floor, we wouldn't have changed our room.

Room Excellant, Location Perfect.Breakfasts were good if not the experience,

I'm loath to criticize this hotel too much as I quite enjoyed my stayWhat can one say about the breakfast. The content was fine, good selection , hot and cold but the delivery was chaotic. They badly need a Maitre D.There was chaos at the Coffee Machines, If it was'nt for the good humour and politness of the clientele queueing, there could be an International incident.Tables not cleared quickly enough, no urgency in replacing cutlery fresh cups.and platesSo after the first mornings experience ,one entered with a plan, hold a table, while the other queued for the coffee machine etc

This quaint hotel was in a fabulous location. The rooms really clean and the staff were fabulous. The manager fixed a problem for us immediately and there was an excellent singer in the patio bar which served lovely cocktails, for a 3 star hotel tiny improvements could easily make it a 4*

The hot food at breakfast could have been better but there was always something else to choose from - plenty of choice. Parking can be a bit of a problem.

Location was excellent. Bar facilities good and good prices. Pool area was nice.

Lack of hot water. Wi-Fi not available in room. Terrace had no view or got any sun at all.

Breakfast has plenty of choice. We visit this hotel each year for 4 nights. We love Puerto de la Cruz.

An infrequent bus service to and from the town to the south of the island.

    7JackPosted on: 1-11-2025

The location of the hotel was excellent and the original part of the hotel is beautiful.

The showers struggled to get warm and breakfast was very average.

    7HelenPosted on: 12-22-2024

Location , the building is so lovely. The pool is also very nice.

Whoever presides over breakfast needs to visit other hotels , the offer is very, very poor . Poor quality food , poor presentation . Cheap ingredients , for what could be a splendid little historical hotel do something about it !.
