Absolutely nothing.

When checking in I saw a lot of older people who, by definition, are definitely not youth. I’m not an ageist but I deliberately booked a youth hostel and not a regular hotel or airbnb because I (24M) wanted the youth hostel experience. When I asked the staff why are there so many not-youths, he simply said it’s not the youth hostel policy to decline bookings of non-youths. This is mind numbing. To add on, the smoking balcony is located inside the bathroom. When I was there the older people would smoke and not close the door - whole bathroom smells like smoke as a result.The showers are terrible. No tray to put soap, no hooks to put clothes, nozzle is broken, water shooting in all directions.In short, PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. If you’re looking for a terrible stay then please feel free to waste your money here.

Nice rooftop

The accurate name should be STAY AWAY!This is the dirtiest accomodation I've ever stayed in out of India. Surely the worst accomodation in Greece beyond competition.The public areas were barely cleaned or were not cleaned at all in spite of complaints. The furniture was broken.The carpet in the first private room was so dirty, that it was hard to tell whether its colour was red or black. It had stains of probably pee. The bed was broken. The smell was extremely stincky beyond bareable. The bathroom was very moldy.We requested to change a room because staying there was impossible for humans.The receptionist honestly said, that not all the rooms are occupied, but that others were not cleaned. It was quite weird, as it was night time. Don't they normally clean rooms upon check out? It seems that at least our "clean" room, the sticky floors in the common areas and the dirty common kitchen - were not cleaned at all.At last we were "upgraded" to the "suite".It might be referred to as a "suite" only in a refugee camp.The "suite" was a big dirty room with moldy bathroom and torn sofas featured clear stains of white sperms...Yet it was slightly more bareable than the previous room. As we were so tired and the booking was non refundable, we stayed there at last.It seems that the local mosquitos enjoyed the humidity and mold, so I was biten at night like never before.The "common kitchen" was a bad joke. It had almost no cutlery or cups. It consisted mainly microwave with no possibility to cook as it had no stovetop.On the fridge there was junk from previous guest including used chewing gum. They remained there for few days till the end of our staying. So that's how the kitchen was "cleaned".The guests consisted a lot of drugies. Some slept at night in the common areas.Some complained about bed bugs. Fortunately, we did not encounter them.

The location is fantastic, ideal as a base for your urban exploration. It's also close to the airport bus X01. The facilities have generous community areas with kitchens on each floor and air conditioning in every room. Next time I go to Thessaloniki, I'll definitely stay there again.

The room felt a bit musty (though with the heat, it wasn’t a big issue). In the shower, I would have appreciated a spot to keep my clothes. The cleanliness was up to good hostel standards, but it could have been a little better.

One of the reception staff, a short man with glasses, behaved very poorly and unprofessionally. His attitude towards guests was rude and impolite, which left a negative impression during our stay.

This place is very nice in many ways, but lacking in others. Overall it's clean, spacious, and friendly.

The bathrooms have only occasional TP, with many broken stall locks, and the shower stalls are worse, with small cabins that have no place to put anything, including soap (which you have to supply yourself).

Clean space

I arrived at 12.15 and they did not let me stay on my booked room. They changed me room i payed extra 10 euros but they have placed me on a seperate alone clean room. Never the less i do not regret it.perfect and quite allthough i did not liked the change bacause I had allready informed the hostel by email that I will come for check in after 11 and they sent me that it is fine. Nice for a stop by for sleep. Perfect prices to stay.

The location and staff were great! Very friendly people.

The mixed use toilets and showers are almost all missing locks and occasionally toilet paper dispensers, which is crazy. The key for the lockers is thin and easily breakable in the shoddy locks (and yes you will have to pay for that). The other guests in my room were strange and didn’t seem like travelers, but I don’t know. Either way it was fine for one or two nights but I wouldn’t stay longer!

Location, staff and stuff.

This place was awesome! The gal who checked me in was super cool fun and professional and made me feel welcome. The rooms were standard hostel rooms but the bedside lockers were superior. The location of the hostel is perfect for getting anywhere you need to go in Thessaloniki and the area has plenty of food and drink options, grocery stores and a lot to do. Also it is safe.

The bathrooms could use some racks and hangers to put things on when in the shower or using the sinks. Also towel rentals would be a good perk.

The price! Clean, quiet,convenient storage space in dorm. Pleasant, helpful staff, at desk, and cleaners. Plenty of frig space.

No kettle in shared space, and couldn’t work out how to heat water in coffee maker. The cleaner did it for me when she was there.
