Acadia Gateway Motel

The room was super small. We had to find another place to stay because it was way too small for us. There's no room to place any of our luggage. The pictures on the website are misleading. The manager was very nice though.

Very helpful manager . Room was small but clean and everything is available. Location is perfect to go to the Acadia np. Around the Motel different possibilities for eating and drinking.

I didn¿t like anything about the hotel except the location. Although, it is in a very busy road and my room was less than 10 feet from the edge of the highway so constant traffic noise keep me awake all night.

Location is a key and price. This is a back to basic motel. It is clean, tidy and the mattresses are comfortable. The motel is an easy drive into Acadia and the sites.

This motel is in need of an update in carpet, furniture and style as it is circa 1980 at best.

The motel was ideal for our busy daily excursions. It was a no-frills room, but very clean. Coffee and donuts for breakfast in the office for breakfast. It was conveniently located for the things we wanted to do in the area. The owner was very helpful.

Price and that it was available. The host kindly allowed me to stay an extra hour after check-up so that I could complete a Zoom business appointment. He also offered the use of a desk. Our room had a nice back deck.

The room was too small for comfortable placement of a desk. There's significant traffic noise being so close to the road, but there's nothing to be done about that, and the location was convenient. The pros definitely outweigh minor cons.

The donuts breakfast are OK...but if you are investing or spending some money for free breakfast for clients, why not just buy some fruits too...instead of all sugary foods? Some fruits are cheap...like banana..in the morning. You help folks to be healthy

Rooms were very clean and the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Check-in was quick and efficient, even though we arrived at the same time as 4 other groups! Good location for visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor.

If you're looking for common amenities like an iron or microwave you won't find them here.

I really prefer a motel/hotel to have a full breakfast as traditional bed and breakfast, but I knew beforehand that they would not have breakfast and was pleased with the coffee and donuts for breakfast.

No frills. If you are planning on sitting by the pool then strolling over to the bar this is not the place for you. If you are only going to sleep in your hotel then this place is perfect.

Location is good, along the main road to Bar Harbor. Price is about as good as you're going to get anywhere close to Mount Desert Island and Acadia. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Excessive road noise, even later at night, made it tough to sleep. Very small room. At one point, door could not shut fully, though that was quickly fixed by staff. Window A/C unit wasn't draining water and got so loud it had to be shut off for a time.
