    Pros +

    • Tim is a great host. The location is close to the Bella Coola highway (actually a dirt road). The place is on the lake shore and the restaurant overlooks the beautiful and peaceful lake. Small but cozy room. Easy parking.
    • Right on the lake and very quiet. The loons were fun to watch, and we were able to kayak right from the dock. The dinners were fantastic - worth the trip in itself. Our patio had a big screen that was needed!
    • The property was quiet, rustic rooms, but wonderful hosts.

    Cons -

    • The buildings are old and in need of refreshing, but the room was comfortable and the managers do wonders with what they have and their remote location.
    • No real complaints.
    • There really isn't anything worth complaining about. The buildings and rooms seem dated, but it's all part of the rural-resort atmosphere so I wouldn't say I didn't like it.

The location and accommodation were fantastic

The meal offering was expensive, with no other options nearby and no opportunity to cook felt that we were a captive market

So very quiet and relaxing. Food was excellent. Beautiful dining room. Has a nice sitting area and outdoor area to watch the birds and other animals.

    Room is quite small

Lovely old world charm with wonderful hosts. The food was great: breakfast, lunch bags and 3 course dinner at reasonable prices, even had free canoes and advice & maps for trails. Would definitely stay there again

It’s not close enough to where we come from to visit again

Eagle's Nest is a small resort, situated at the shore of a small lake adjacent to a forest in the inland plateau just before/after the sporty part of Highway 20. Even if it might apear somehow old fashioned, the resort is in a good shape and well managed by Tim and his wife, who does a very good kitchen (both breakfast and dinner were perfect). Both are very professional and committed old school hosts who turn your stay into an unforgettable "souvenir".

    9DavidPosted on: 8-10-2024

Excellent location on the lake. Wonderful food. You need to order dinner in advance so they can prepare.

    Location

Very dated Hot tub not operating We are also social interactive guest, Seems the staff is quite reclusive, no worries as the stay went well . All the other 9 places we stayed at in BC had unbelievable great staff.

Excellent location and really good food and wine. Wildlife viewing was superb. We saw loons, eagles, ospreys, white pelicans and a very tame chipmunk. Outdoor seating areas were great and there was an excellent selection of books covering the history and wildlife of the area. Hosts were super helpful in suggesting things to do and providing directions. We went on the float plane tour of the Rainbow Range, Hunlen Falls and the Monarch Icefields which was amazing. Another interesting place is The Precipice Trail.

Rooms were dated and decor overall was quirky and would benefit from remodeling.

Very beautiful yet simple. Quiet at a lake. This is a hidden gem and one should stay for a few nights to appreciate all there is to offer.

Location, service, food was all excellent

Beautiful location and cozy room with a lovely view. Very peaceful location.

Location was beautiful. Lovely dining room.

The freezer in the room kept activating, somewhat noisily, every 10 minutes until I shut it off.

Anahim Lake is like a little piece of heaven on earth. The resort is so perfectly located. The service was exceptional and our stay was divine. The rooms are simple but very comfortable with everything that you need. Nothing could beat having a coffee and listening to the birds on the dock as the mist lifts off the lake.

Beautiful location on Anahim Lake. Dramatic dining room overlooking the lake. Peaceful and quiet. Lots of bird watching opportunities and fishing. Bring bug spray. Canoes available, but it was too windy for us to go out when we were there.

Room was cramped. Bathroom had a plastic folding accordion door and was dated. Because of the remote location, we had dinner and breakfast on property. The food was good, but the prices reflect the remote location. Our room faced the lake, but a very ugly outbuilding (?!) blocked half of the view. We could hear almost everything from the rooms above, so I recommend paying more for the view and no footsteps.

it was dark couldn't really see but it looked like it would be an amazing place in the summer with outdoor beauty.

the room was not cleaned properly. there were clothes and personal hygiene items in the drawers. the satellite tv didn't work and he wouldn't even budge on the price to compensate that. so we couldn't even relax after our scary winter drive and cuddle and watch a show.

    7LoisPosted on: 9-26-2022

The location was beautiful. There were areas of the room not cleaned from the customer before us. The food was attractively served but could have been more flavorful

Beautiful and peaceful location; very comfortable rooms, home cooked meals

The dinner we had, in the lovely dining room, overlooking the lake, was excellent. The service and food were far above expectations. The breakfast was also excellent.
