Kingfisher Motel (Adults only)

Lovely small and quiet property with rooms overlooking the pool or out across Merimbula. Absolutely gorgeous view and loved all the bird life and activity. Yes it is an older style property but I Loved the charm of the room. Loved the space in the room, the bed was comfortable (I had a great nights sleep) and loved the addition of a small sofa (very comfy). On the balcony there was a table for 2 and also a small table inside. Room had everything I needed. Host on arrival was brilliant, recommended places to eat, gave an overview of town and where to find things. Was a lovely touch to offer fresh milk. Is located on the main road and as a female solo traveller I felt safe. Embarrassingly I did lock myself out of the room at night but the host came to my rescue.

Up on the hill with a great view, clean and bright, beds nice and solid. We enjoyed bay view from our balcony and watching all the bird life.

Ventilation in bathroom could be better

From my initial booking enquiry to the greeting on arrival, everything was really well done. The owners obviously take great pride in their Motel as everything was so clean and tidy and well set out. The views across the bay was magical. A very quiet location with a comfortable bed made it a really relaxing stay.

Great location, amazing view over Merimbula, the lakes and out to the ocean, spectacular sunrise. Comfortable, clean and very quiet. Lovely on site hosts. Good value for money. After my poor experience the night before at another motel in town this was paradise.

The most amazing view and your own private balcony! Super friendly staff, easy check in and super grateful they space the guest out between rooms, some motels place all guests right next to each other because apparently it’s easier with the cleaning. But it’s always nice to have some space and more privacy so thank you ? there’s a newly updated motel just a bit further down the road that I’ve stayed at, it was nicely renovated but you don’t have a view like this and no balcony, with the path to the rooms right outside your window so not much privacy either. And you could hear a pin drop in the room next door. So I much prefer kingfisher, old school great motel with the best view in town. It was magical having breakfast on the balcony watching the sun rise over the ocean.

Nothing! You do need to drive into town, however all of the clubs do a courtesy bus if you need that can pick you up and drop you off!

Great stay and awesome hotel. So nice being able to open the balcony door and the view was incredible. Watched the birds and the kangaroos while looking at the seaview. The Hosts are wonderful and friendly and even gave me home made muffins for my husband’s birthday Highly recommend.

If you like breathtaking scenery and amazing birdlife and kangaroos and wallabies visiting the gardens this is the place for you. The owners Janine and Baron went well and truly out of their way to make us welcome. Unfortunately we lost our car in a flash flood in Pambula and Janine and Baron came to our rescue and helped us out immensely. The unit was spotless and the pool was clean and refreshing. Lovely stay, thank you J and B for your tremendous hospitality!

Bed was super comfy and the room had all the utencils and extra linen you could think of or need. The view was stunning and the location was quiet, for a long weekend I seldom saw or heard any of the other guests and the car park was fun. Hosts were lovely and friendly. A little dated but clean and in good maintained condition.

The view from my room is spectacular - set on a hill high above Merimbula. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. Room was very clean and had everything I needed. Staff are super friendly and remembered me from 5 years ago. Very quiet location. Welcome glass of wine was a special touch.

The Location was excellent Janine & Baron were excellent hosts, the rooms were always clean. Thank you both for looking after us, on our Adventure south. :)

Janine & Baron are excellent hosts & they care for the natural wild life that visits thier property. Lorrikets, Cockatoos & Kangaroos which definately made our visit more memorable. :)

It was clean, quiet and the views were amazing .we were surprised by an upgrade at no extra cost, it gave us choice of beds and the best views Over Merimbula .

There was nothing not to like .
