NRMA Merimbula Beach Holiday Resort

This holiday park was great for a family holiday kids had a ball at the water slide/park the view from the cabin was awesome

There were a couple of hick ups at the start with a blocked sink and dirty linen/bedding and towels but the staff were prompt in rectifying the situation, we did ask for extra towels which we were told they could not do

The location was great, the short point beach was just a few minutes from the villa

The bunk bed was very tiny. Those were meant for children, not for adult. Becz the feet could not literally be straight for a man of 170 cm. The upper bunk bed had a side railing which made it so difficult to get in and out from the tiny bed. The inner height was also very short, we hit our head if tried to wake up a bit straight or when trying to come out. We had a very bad time and Couldn't have proper sleep. The bed sounds horribly even if for changing the side. The whole apartment stinks. The double bed was extremely soft. The crockeries items were not clean enough. The toilet sit leg space was tight at the side.

Great park for families, amazing facilities, pool, tennis court, games room, kids club and super close to the beach.

Nothing to dislike.

Fantastic Location! Loved the short walk to the beach.

Cabin was dusty and not very well cleaned. Lounge was dirty and just dust on lots of the surfaces. Needed a good deep clean. But overall was a good cabin. There was a bush/tree behind the cabin that banged on the roof during the windy nights. So could just do with some simple maintenance.

Proximity to the beach and town

Slightly cramped especially with wet weather. Great weather you aren’t inside which would be fine

Really liked the activities and Slide for the kids, also how the food trucks came over the weekend so you don’t have to go to town if you don’t feel like cooking.

Pool was absolutely freezing! So cold that the kids wouldn’t swim in it. And the beds in the cabin we stayed in were so uncomfortable, same goes for the pillows and the doona was tucked in so short and tight that my kids couldn’t pull them up to keep warm, we had to unmake the bed to have doonas up.

Great location, short walk to the beach, and clean tidy cabin with everything we needed, including a washing machine.A little light on kitchen utensils, but we managed.The kids loved the water park as it was heated and managed the pool despite it being freezing cold!

Luckily, we had a cabin with 4 bunk beds as the queen bed was unsleepable. The mattress was too soft. We tried for 2 nights to sleep in it, then resorted to the bottom bunks. Every time, we rolled over the mattress sunk even more.The playground looked great until we realised that there was no actual way for the kids to get into the playground without climbing the slides. This was ok for our 4 & 5 yo but would not be good for younger kids. It is like they have just bought multiple pieces from old playgrounds and not stepped back to see that should a child get stuck there is no way for an adult to climb up and help, and also not practical for younger kids.

Loved the kids facilities and the location!

The pool was a bit cold for swimming but we expected that for this time of year. The bedroom door didn’t shut due to the bed not properly fitting which was a bit of a pain.

Amazing location, right next to the beach but requires going down a steep hill not ideal for older people. Pools were great. Very clean and well maintained. Would love the outdoor pool to be heated as the water is always freezing cold.

Location is perfect, water park was a big hit with the kids and I love the daily messages of what’s happening at the park that day.

The bed was a little in comfy and we both rolled into the middle, we got used to it by the end of the week though.

I love these safari tents! I stayed in one in Koondrook and was recommended this place due to the ocean views. The little deck with bbq and bath and bench overlooking the ocean was perfection! The close walk to beach and morning coffee cart was great! The facilities are above expectation for a caravan park.

Hard pressed to find something we didn’t like. A little out of town and up a steep hill so if walking into town / shops is your thing it may be a little too far. Perfect for us though and a short drive to Main Street

Beach was a fair walk for older people but no problem for those a bit younger or though they all walked between our cabins to get back, as there was no designated footpath. The view could have been better if we had no trees in our view but we could see the ocean, but not the beach from our unit, further along would have a better view. (See Photo) You had to stand on the verandah for this shot.

The light and power switches needed a good scrub( see photos) and the kitchen firstly needed a new frypan which we got replaced and there was no wooden spoon or scissors.

There was so much to do we ended up cancelling our plans at magic mountain and spent the day utilising the resort facilities. The bbq area was great to cook and share a meal with family staying in other cabins.

The pedal karts are really hard to ride uphill

Comfy bed, speciouse bath, Location, privacy, beach, 5min (by car) to restaurants and caffes!

Lounge/TV area to be rearanged ! Not suitable to watch TV!Additional chair(s) in bedroom!

Plastic smell in tent — needing to be ventilated as was closed up — difficult to access and open windows . Poor temp and water pressure in bath

Location was great and amenities were excellent.

Size of unit and doorways were quite narrow.

Spacious and great location. Brilliant facilities for the kids.

The cabin was a bit tired

We booked a villa. It had all the amenities. Full kitchen, lovely views. Spacious.

Merimbula is on an elevation. When I booked , I thought it was on/ beside the beach. However the accommodation is on a elevated location and it's a steep climb down to the beach.The worst though.... was the bed linen and pillowcase were soiled, dirty, had hair strands and not fresh at all!!

The location is great, right near the beach and a short drive to town and the big pool was nice but that’s about it for the positives.

Overall we were disappointed in the cabin and don’t think it was worth the money we paid. The pictures online did not reflect the true state of the cleanliness, nor the age of the bedding, the spa or the balcony, etc. Everything was VERY tired, with much newer looking cabins right in front of ours that looked like they were in much better shape. We arrived late our first night, after 8hrs of driving, and all l wanted was a spa but discovered there is no plug, so l was left to make the kitchen sink plug do the trick. I told staff the next morning about the missing plug and could someone please drop the correct plug at our door. We arrived back to the cabin later that afternoon to discover someone had entered our cabin (a pet peeve of mine when we have our belongings in the room) and had left the plug on the spa. Later that night when l wanted another spa l come to find out that the plug that had been left also didn’t fit the spa plug? How hard can that really be? Something so simple and yet something that made our stay memorable for the wrong reason. The overall feel of the cabin was rundown and boring. Would not stay here again.
