The Capital Hotel and Resort Seminyak

It was near quiet a few restaurants so all within walking distance including laundromat and massage parlours. Kid's loved the swimming pool up the rooftop. It also has a bar at the top. Bed was super comfy and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The restaurant downstairs, the food wasn't that great but its super cheap. The place needs abit of cleaning as there were ants crawling on the seats. When showering the water draining ends up becoming a puddle so your using your foot to swipe up and down to drain the water. Booked 2rooms for 5ppl, 2 in 1 and the other 3 in 1. They only provided 2towels for 2ppl in each room so had to keep.asking for another spare towel.

Quiet room. Room is well equipped. Good layout. Huge comfortable bed. A/c works well.

Musty air throughout the hotel. Even the a/c in the room can’t really remove it. Car park under the building musty AND dusty. Drainage in the shower recess is poor but I have a feeling that this is common in this part of the world. Staff are friendly but lacking in administrative skills. A/c should have been on in our room when we arrived. Very hot and muggy outside.

Room smells mouldy. I don’t think it’s actually mould but their cleaning detergent when housekeeping cleans which makes the room smelly.

Location is prime

Mix up over check in. After several messages extended with the property regarding the room payment which was going to be borne by me with the credit card provided, my daughter was charged directly and had to pay the total amount as she checked in first. This was very inconvenient, especially after the numerous messages exchanged with the property prior to my late arrival. I was then upgraded to a suite which was a nice touch, however the room is extremely noisy with no sound proof. The room faces the Main Street and noise was constant with cars, people talking, screaming etc. I ended up sleeping a couple of hours per night. I would suggest some sound proof isolation to be considered. Also due to heavy rains, leaks were all over the flooring of the corridors. Went down for a morning coffee in the restaurant on my first morning, only to find out the coffee machine was broken and no choice of coffee was possible. I skipped breakfast due to the poor selection and quality of the items proposed.

The rooms are quite big and staff are very friendly and helpful.

The washrooms are really bad , they look so dirty and towels are also looking so dirty. If you are staying on the 1st and 2nd floor you always hear the sound from reception which is very disturbing and annoying.

One of the best choices to pick in Seminyak. Location is very good, rooms are clean, staff were amazing. I woulda stayed more in this place if I had time.

Tiles around the fridge was leaking a bit in my room, but wasn’t very effective or bothering . Highly recommending this place .

The property was very good. We stayed for 2 nights and it was very comfortable stay. The location is close to everything. The bike rental is just outside of the hotel. Money exchange is right opposite, grocery store, bakery, spa everything is around the hotel. Beach clubs like Atlas, Finns is 15 mins in bike. Potato head is like 10 mine away. In terms of accessibility, comfort and cleanliness I’ll recommend this hotel. The staff is very helpful and courteous.

We are vegetarian and for them the breakfast options are like close to none. Literally we went to the bakery opposite the hotel for breakfast. I believe there is a great room for improvements in breakfast spread for vegetarian

I loved the rooftop pool. There was always someone there to hand out towels or make drinks, it was amazing.The staff at the reception were extremely niceTheir SPA was 10/10, probably the best massage I had in BaliThe room itself was very clean, the towels smelled super niceThe location is absolutely perfect, there are several supermarkets nearby, the beach is a short walk away and the restaurants are amazing and all a short walk awayI would recommend this place to anyone staying in Seminyak they are extremely professional and our stay was just amazing

The breakfast was okay, nothing exceptionalThe restaurant itself was pretty disappointing, the staff were very nice don't get me wrong, but the food was definitively lackingThe room windows don't do a great job of filtering out the street noise so that's something you'll have to deal with while you sleep. I asked staff to block a card that was taken by a guest who was no longer welcome, I was told it was now blocked, it was not blocked and I got an unwanted guest twice.Scary, this was after I told them to ban this person !I showed them a picture and they assured me it would be handled.Also, went away for 2 days, I asked them to lock and secure back door to balcony, I was told it was completed.When I got back, balcony door was still open.The staff just say yes then do nothing.Also the water temp in bathroom didn't even get to warm let alone hot.The hotel is nice, gym good, pool ok.

Very restrictive in requests, towels were limited, pillows huge and rock hard. They don't have small pillows.

Disappointing

I asked to call a taxi, but the staff said there were no taxis available. And the bed smell was so unpleasant. It was difficult to sleep because it was so humid. It smelled like a motel tie-up. I ordered a cafe latte for a Japanese meal, but the cafe latte came with a cafe latte for my meal, so I asked to change it to something else. I ordered Japanese food and hamburger steak, but I was a bit disappointed to see Western-style food. Even after eating, the child said he was still hungry and immediately asked for more food. 11 year old child... And the table wasn't wiped so there were a lot of particles in it. The airport shuttle costs 250,000 RP, which is so expensive that even when I asked them to call a taxi, they said they wouldn't come here. I tried to go downstairs and catch it myself, but the employee working outside called a taxi, so that was fine. Thank you.

The staff were lovely. Bed very comfortable & it was quiet. The room was spacious as was the bathroom all be it very outdated. Location was okay & you could walk out & find something for everyone.

This is never a 4 star property! Bathroom left a lot to be desired with rusting taps & shower. Had to ask for hand towels. Wardrobe, well as long as you jammed all clothes to one side where it was deeper the door closed, otherwise hangers were too wide & doors don’t shut!Breakfast was limited, the bread wasn’t fresh nor were the eggs. Again had to ask for everything even though it’s a buffet - can I have a knife, can I have salt & pepper - ideally the tables should be set, that’s a minimal expectation for a 4 star hotel.

LOCATION!! Beautiful food and entertainment within 5mins walking distance. Was very clean and staff were amazing.

The beds were quite stiff, a bit softer would be more comfortable.
