The staff

The pool was not clean. The room has a builtin desk but no chair and no hand soap. The A/C was programmed for 16C and raged through the first night cutting off and starting again over and over until I changed it to 22C. It keep it at a cool dampness, mostly. A single sheet on the bed, no hand towels. Several people got the runs after the first night staying there. I couldn't venture far from the bathroom. There were no whale sharks, since they don't feed them (which at first seems like a great idea) means you might see one, you might not. Cebu has them all the time. So if that is why you come...

I kind of lumped it all together in the 'like' section. It is an hour taxi ride from the airport. 2000 pesos from the airport to Vitton and 3000 pesos from the hotel back to the airport. Some divers said they saw some dolphins... I just saw the sunset , the bar and the bathroom.

The place, the wonderful staff: Annie and her team at the reception, the restaurant with delicious food and very nice staff. I am sorry to give a 6 because for this price, you are waiting for more amenities in the room: No glass to clean your teeth, the shower is broken, no tissue box. My friend forgot his tooth brush: The guard was so sweet and helpful that he took his bike to get one in Donsol at night, asking nothing in return.. You should think that they would have a few toothbrushes available in stock, in case. NO bottle of water, no access to purified water. In many resorts in the Philippines, even 2 star, you have access to cold and hot water on a dispenser. I told Annie at the reception that if that hotel was not close from the Whale shark center, they would have no guests coming back! I would recommend to make an effort on amenities and when I come back, I will be happy to give a 10/10 to that hotel.

Amenities in the room and renovate the bathroom

Friendly staff, did everything to make our stay pleasant, great pool and location. Excellent food at the facility and Annie is such a star and so are all the staff and no request was a problem and we really were spoiled and well treated.

No fridges in the room but it was not a major problem, the facilities were great.

Great time in Donsol area. Good location outside city on the beach. Great drinks in the bar.

Very dated, I imagine that most people would stay due to proximity to the whale shark centre. Due to changes in the weather between December 2024 & March there were 3 sightings with only one in February when I was there. Ask the hotel for a photograph of the sighting board from the shark centre before booking. No Wi-Fi except in the restaurant. Initially no working TV or hot water in room but repaired on 2nd day. Food hit & miss, toothpicks should be removed from food before slicing & serving. No fault of the hotel but without the sharks there's little reason to visit Donsol. Ensure you have plenty of cash as they will ask for payment on arrival & there's no card facilities at the resort.

A perfect place, for relaxing and diving. The rooms and restaurants and the beach bar get 10 points. Everything clean, silent at night a perfect stop.

Well located for whale shark centre. Bedding and towels were clean.

Room was very run down and dirty. Old plaster was left stuck to the towel rail and floors were not clean. No wifi and the shower had no hot water or pressure. Reception area stank of urine.

Very close to the whale shark center, nice restaurant, clean pool and chill out areas. Room had small balcony hand when it’s raining to be outside and to dry clothes. Staff was very nice

Property is just avg, nothing as described over portal. sea side is quite dirty and not managed. Pool area is not that clean, manpower seems like none. Guest service post check-in is not good at all as well. Overall no to recommendation and not visiting again.

Beachfront location and walking distance to tourist information center for the whale shark tour. Very nice and helpful staff. Clean swimming pool which is a plus.

The location is a 1 min walk to the whale shark center. That’s the main reason to book this accommodation.The spacious room with a balcony had an amazing ocean view for watching the sunset between the palmtrees. Daily replenishment of basic amenities and 1 toilet roll a day. Towels had a nice scent. There’s a nice pool (bring your own towel). There’s also a restaurant at the property. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

This accommodation accepts cash only. And the room is a bit rundown.Value for money regarding the accommodation itself is overpriced. The room is very outdated and needs a big renovation for the price you pay. Then again you pay for the location as it is so close to the whale shark attraction.If you are in a wheelchair ask for the ground floor. There are only stairs to get to the first floor.There is a small step down from the sink. So beware of that. If you don’t mind that It is a bit noisy because you can here your neighbors.The shower did not have a lot of pressure and the toilet -when almost full- the water reservoir makes a loud noise. Looks like perhaps termites are in the wooden frame of the beds.You can buy water at their restaurant (so it is not complementary) At the Restaurant you can get free WiFi. WiFi is not available in the room itself.The Airco is not powerful enough to cool the whole room.If your sensitive to light bring some Ductape to cover the cracks in the front door and window.

Location and lovely comfortable place

The food was unfortunately not very good, neither was the timing of pre booked breakfast

The location - it is close to where the whale shark tours depart from and is nice and quiet. Large room with a balcony, we enjoyed the pool and reasonable food and drink prices.

It was a great location for the whale sharks. The swimming pool, bar and restaurant were great and had good views.
