The lake that was advertised was across the road and a mere patch of brown dirty water. The traffic noise was so loud that we had to request a room on the other side of the hotel. They charged for a Lake view room and when we changed to a standard room with no view, there was no refund or adjustment. Although the staff was very polite.

musty unaired smell all around. The hotel was rather unkept with everything old. I dont mean the heritage part of it, which was very nice but things like the cushions, carpet, washroom fitting etc, were all rather used and unclean.

Beautiful scenic location with hills and greenery all around. Nice breakfast options, friendly and kind staff. Clean, spacious and old-world feel with comforts.

Just a bit pricey, although understandably. Maybe they can include some reasonable meal options especially for vegetarians. And also some transport options, Scooter rentals for guests to see around the place.

Incredible staff both at the counter and at the restaurants. The property and the facilities are in great condition and the entire premises is very well-maintained.

Staff delivered excellent service, and being at the lakehouse was like existing in a fairy tale’s little cottage - the architecture was truly beautiful beyond words. The only downside was the smell of (i suspect) mould in the building, but it was easily resolved by room diffuser which was available in the interior of the room, on the dressing table. Breakfast was good and a walk across the various corners of the lakehouse was like an exploration in a vintage museum. Do take note to put on mozzie repellent when outdoor as nature comes with plenty of mosquitoes. The lakehouse was also very near various sightseeing or places of interests, although the drive uphill took more than 3h.

The Lakehouse is a very charming hotel with excellent staff. They made our trip remarkable and we enjoyed the stay very much. We especially liked the well maintained garden with the relaxing atmosphere and view over the lake.

    Beautiful location and excellent restaurant

More sun beds and a pool would make it perfect

Staff and team are great Every staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very delicious, they have ala carte and semi buffet . They also put a coffee machine and a toaster on each table, so we can do it ourselves. The afternoon tea in the hotel is also good. We having afternoon while enjoying the beautiful scenery.it’s really relaxing

1.A bit disappointed with the bed. Lie down can feel the back directly hits the spring , uncomfortable.2. Water heater keeps changing back and forth from hot to cold.

It’s a lovely Tudor style house with nice common areas for tea and happy hour

There is a trail part of the property that they should advise it is a bit hard. It’s only 1.4km and took us 75 min, but hard core

I stayed in the Lakehouse 2 years before and stated this is the best place I ever stayed in away from home. Last year they were (unfortunately) closed due to renovations so I could only revisit this year. My opinion has not changed: its location outside of the towns of Ringlet and Tanah Rata, the impeccable staff, excellent restaurant, resting facilities, garden, rooms, it is a 100% thumbs up for me.

Size as advertised, OK wifi, good air conditioning, shower and tub with lots of hot water, very clean, everything worked, robes and slippers, easy check in, friendly staff, absolutely charming, very good breakfast.

The view of the resort is worth every penny! If you love to have a stay with scenery, calm and nature vibes, this is the place! The breakfast meal is also top notch! Would likely recommend to friends and family for a stay here! Really love it!

The location might be a bit far to other main spot at cameron, but overall is beyond good!

Very nice staff. Hotel is placed in beautiful location. The gardens are maintained well. Very good and high quality breakfast from ala carte. Dual bedroom suite.

    We didn't find anything.

Excellent hospitality from all the staff. Friendly and helpful. The hotel itself, although built in the 70s, has a wonderful 1920s atmosphere.

Beyond the hotel’s control. The lake was brown and turgid, covered with algae. Apparently at other times it returns to the beautiful clear water we remembered from previous visits to the Cameron Highlands.

    Disappointing

avoid. Super tired property. “100 years old carpets” everywhere which smell disgusting. In the rooms smell of urine. Uncomfortable and to small beds. Just everything is old and old and unpleasant. If you can avoid it just do it and do not hesitate. The most terrible one night stay in Malaysia, because you have some expectations based on photos and rating and in reality you are just in super old and smelly 2stars place

Quiet location away from the traffic jam. Beautiful house and garden. Very nice staff and service. Easy to park. The family room was just perfect for us. Breakfast and dinner were good. Food prices acceptable.

As an allergic person, carpets and curtains are never pleasant. Not the Hotel's fault. Wine, beer and all alcoholic beverages are overpriced in our opinion.
