Old English charm with a very attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful hotel and gardens.

The house is very beautiful as well as the garden, the food was good. I liked sitting in the old rooms next to the bar.

This one was tricky, I really wanted to like this. Not everything is bad but it's quite run down and unfortunately the location isn't very charming anymore as there is very heavy traffic around the hotel, noisy and gas smells. This place has definitely seen better days. The staff is trying their best. There were very few guests at the hotel and it felt odd to have staff standing next to your dinner table in an almost empty restaurant. They play the same music all day from early morning to the night, I believe it was a maximum of 10 instrumental pieces.. We were a bit disappointed with Cameron Highlands in general although with did go to a lovely Boh tea plantation south from the hotel. We left one day early.

Authenticity, genuinely protected heritage (building, food, garden, decoration, style) , impeccable & friendly service, lovely garden

The bed mattress were not as comfortable as I would have liked - minor issue. Also unfortunately the road is a bit closer than I would have liked it. Nothing that would prevent me from coming back - we had 6 great days there, even added one night to our stay.

very beautiful place. love the atmosphere!

lack of historical information . lots of photos hanging but very few related to the building. even staff also dont have any knowledge about the place. closest thing I found is the guest book from the 90s. staff also not so friendly. not sure of we're mat saleh things would be different

The whole facilities present a reminder of the past with lush English gardens and interior decors. The Dining menu though quite limited but offered authentic English cuisine. Overall nice and cosy. Indeed a place to relax and unwind away from bustling city lifestyles. Recommended for those seeking down memory lane.

    1. No shelter provided Infront of the dropoff before the entrance to shield guests from the constant rain.2. No ramps to cater for the wheelchair access.3. Carpets in the room needed replacement. 4. The fire place could have been better represented with new fake fire than the present one. 5. The roof conservatory above the extended dining room design does not blend well with the Tudor style. 6. The present English gardens needed proper trimmings and replanting maintained by professional gardener.7. More authentic English cuisine could be added to the present limited menu.

Loved the old style decor in the rooms it matches the style of the building. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, we were unable to stay for the complimentary breakfast because we had a sunrise tour booked so they packed us a little breakfast for our trip and allowed us to check out of our room at 6am. And as we only stayed the night they were very accommodating. The surrounding gardens are so beautiful and we'll located to the centre of town (bus terminal) and the steamboat restaurant up the road (12min walk) was a delicious dinner option. The room was very clean and in great condition, provided with lovely hygiene and cleaning products. The bed was firm and comfortable. Wifi was fast and reliable.

The house looks really nice from outside. Back to the old time, which we really love.

The hotel is overprices for what they are offering. The room has old smell. The staff at the breakfast room is extremely unpleasant. We don't understand his behaviors. Breakfast ala card is cold.

Very traditional like an old English country, Hotel

It is a very old property has a lot of style but it does need renovating. They seem to be caught in the past and it would do well to have a spruce up.

Almost unreal to find this english building in Malaysia, but very nice place to stay in the highlands.

English breakfast with delicious eggs ‘ a la Florentine ‘ Very comfortable bed room

    A reliquary of British atmosphere

    8GillianPosted on: 4-3-2025

Loved the quaint “English” feel, the open fire, the country garden.

    7HenriettePosted on: 3-16-2025

the property is still very english, very nice garden, peacefull neighbourhoud, attitude of the personel, dinner was also nice.

the matrasses are very hard, not comfortable at all. The carpet in the room is dirty, time to change, showering in the bathtub with a curtain, hardly no place for your toiletries.

    5NicholasPosted on: 2-21-2025

The steak in the restaurant was extremely good.

Hotel is not at all maintained. Everywhere rust and dirt.

    7RichardPosted on: 2-21-2025

The common rooms in the main building had an old fashioned charm. The restaurant was comfortable, and served excellent English food and a good breakfast. There are beautiful gardens with every flowering plant imaginable.

Our room was in one of the ancillary structures. The room was adequate but a bit shabby, and access was via a patio with uneven stairs and tiles.

    10GraemePosted on: 2-18-2025

A delightful old mock Tudor building from the colonial era which now specialises in providing an authentic English (colonial) experience with rooms in lovely faded elegance. The menu is a delight and not only with all the British favourites but the standard of the food was excellent. The best apple crumble I’ve ever had. Service was excellent. We loved our stay.

    8HarvinderPosted on: 2-17-2025

Very things was good, just the food had limitations as they serve only wester and had insects in rooms plus the toilet was leaking

Just beware that rooms at upper floor do not has lif, should consider for old people or adults having knee problems

    7SiewPosted on: 2-15-2025

    Breakfast is good taste.

The bathroom is big but the bathtub is small and not suitable for elders. Better to add shower area. The room is dark can put some more light.
