Great spot and price, as well as really tasty food!

Very claustrophobic space in the women’s room that didn’t feel entirely safe in the case of an emergency.

Cozy atmosphere and friendly stuff. Beds are rather big and comfy, good air conditioning. Basic, but functional kitchen, clean showers. Good price and easy check in and check out

I suggest turning lights on a bit later in the morningI was sleeping on the lower bad, but climbed to the empty upper one to turn off the light there, and it was quite challenging to go down

The staff and atmosphere were wonderful. You are extremely close to the water front, you can watch the sunset from a beautiful spot. The board walk is very close if you wish to rent a bike and go for a ride. They offer a wonderful and very inexpensive breakfast option. This was a great place to spend 2 nights. If you are looking to Party this is not the place for it midweek don’t know what weekends are like.

It is a very good hostel with helpful staff, a good breakfast, lunch and dinner spot.

The vibe and the staffs are nice. They also provide body soap and shampoo for shower.

The room is too hot, even during winter. In the female room, it might be a bit noisy because you can hear the music in the cafe. The music would turn off until 23:00.

The staff was amazing and the place was excellent as well, food was good and a was all for a fair price.

Music from the restaurant starts early could wait till at least 8 to start it.

The AIEN Coffee & Hostel is perfectly located for beach goers and visitors to American village. 5min-walk to Miyagi coast, 10-min bike ride to American village. Very friendly and mindful staff. Strongly recommended!

A great vibe, awesome staff and good foods

The private room smelled moldy and there was some visible as well. Only went in there to sleep because I didn’t get used to the stingy smell, and I got a bit of a runny nose in the mornings

the female dorm capsules are a tight squeeze, as is the kitchen . but the great location, staff, and fellow travellers make up for the squeeze. more room in the mixed dorm, and the private rooms are nice!

BREAKFAST, the staff was unbelievably friendly, selection of items to eat and drink, and location.

The bathroom in the sleeping area smelled like it always had dried urine on the floor.

The cafe at the hostel was great! The staff were so friendly and polite! And the place is close to seaside, it is nice for a morning walk.

The room is small, and there is not enough space to put luggage. The washroom is a bit smelly.

I really enjoyed how cheap it was and how close to everything the hostel was. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was very courteous

I loved everything about it

Very charming property with friendly staff who made us feel extremely welcome. We didn’t do any work on laptops but it has the kind of space that would be ideal for people who are travelling and working. It was also very chill if you’re just on holiday.It felt like the staff went out of their way to help us get a taxi to our izakaya tour, as well as holding on to our bags as we changed properties (we booked another spot not knowing how much we would love AIEN hostel). If we could go back in time we would have stayed longer. This is a budget accommodation by price but the staff, vibes, and design made it feel upscale and luxurious. We stayed in a private room which was extremely spacious and had a desk. We didn’t feel claustrophobic at all which can be an issue in hostels. It was also very clean. Maybe the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Thank you so much!

Great hostel! Walkable distance to American Village. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the cafe area is a cool space. There is also a terrace and cold water easily available. Each bunk has a mirror, light, charger, hook. They were hosting an event the night I was there and played good music!

Rooms are a little small, but the other guests kept their belongings tucked away so it was fine. The bathroom sinks are by the back door with people coming and going so it wasn't super comfy washing up but don't let these small things deter you from staying at this awesome hostel!

The staff was really nice

The futon was really uncomfortable and the automatic lights were annoying. Maybe better curtains to shield the light from entering the beds would be good
