Hotel Art Stay Naha Kokusai-Dori

Excellent location. Free bike rentals (for 4 hours a day, I believe). Free ice cream from 3-8 pm! Free Okinawan donuts and beer, too, for a set number of hours per day. Fun and relaxing lobby where you can chill. Nice staff, clean rooms, affordable rates.

You can't hang out in the lobby after you check out, which is a shame. (I think you can stay 30 minutes, but after that you have to pay a usage fee.)

The breakfast was very good, with a diverse set of options, mostly local specialities. The staff, both at the front desk and at breakfast, were very helpful and friendly.

The website promotes it as a very artsy, class hotel. The photos on the website look much better than the reality. However, the rooms did not look that nice in reality.

Staff was great and the open bar in the afternoon and evening was awesome. Rooms were small, but very modern and comfortable. The location was absolutely amazing.

Free drinks were provided, and the receptionist was very patient and attentive in explaining everything about the accommodation, services, and instructions.

One small thing to note is that the reception desk is located on B1, but there is an elevator, so it's not an issue.

Location is very great, near shopping street and lots of restaurants. Breakfast is very good and lots of options. Staff is very nice.

The room was disappointing. Very basic and old with peeling paint which made it feel gross. It was clean but very old and the carpet was full of stains. My least favorite stay in Japan. I expected more from this hotel given the reviews

Good location close to Kokusai street, Makishimarket.Easy to transport, close to yui monorail, ferry port.Welcome drink beer and Awamori counter are the best one.

Room is not clean at all. Especially air condition need to clean up more oftenly.

What a fantastic little hotel. Right in the heart of everything you need in Okinawa. I walked to the local beach, the ferry port, the monorail and the main strip.Powerful shower, comfy bed, free beer from 3pm-10pm every day.

Couldn't find a single fault with this hotel.

Well located, near the busy and rushy Kokusai-Dori, with lots of restaurants and coffee shops around. The hotel is very comfortable, they provide lots of amenities (suripas, pajamas, baby shampoo, a famicom, foot massage, etc). They also provide free ice cream, Okinawan soba soup during the day, which was a great surprise! Plus, they also have a laundry room where you can wash and dry.

Nothing in particular bothered my family.

Every staff are friendly and smiles always on faces.

The hotel is nice and clean. The staff is kind. Loved the lounge (with local beer and ice cream - so good). The room was spacious for Japan standards. Excelent location (short walk to the monorail and kokusai dori). The breakfast was tasty and a nice experience, but maybe a bit 'daring' as it seems to be 100% local food. Important to know as some people might not adjust and a 'mixed' breakfast was the default experience during my trip do Japan, so this one stands out a bit.

It was close to Hokusai St. There were many places to eat and shop. We loved the free drinks and friendly staff.

The hotel was older and the electricity was hard to charge our devices.

The location of the hotel is great, 1 block from Kokusai Dori and Don Quijote where you can get goodies and souvenirs. There are plenty of toiletries if you forget to bring. Water, coffee and teas are available for guests. Local beer and ice cream are free for certain hours.

The rooms are cleaned every 3 days, but you get fresh towels everyday. If your reservation includes breakfast, be aware that it is Okinawa style so no bread, eggs, bacons, orange juice, pancakes… LOL.

The location.

The first room I was in had mould all over the place. The carpet was disgustingly dirty and stained. The walls were scuffed and dirty. This was supposed to be an "upgrade" that I paid for. I went to the front desk and asked to move due to the mould and they immediately moved me. Second room had less outstanding mould, but it was still all over the vents, a/c and bathroom. Carpet was still disgusting. I felt very uncomfortable staying there, especially at the price I paid (there were other options that were cheaper however the good reviews persuaded me to stay here). Photos are no up to date or acccurate. Staff weren't overly friendly, no welcome drink, ambiance was off. Would not recommend.
